Oh.. you know.... I just had an MRI on my shoulder and I have a tear in my rotator cuff... my right knee and then just the aches and pains of old age! I do use alot of Icy Hot...cause I don't want another surgery...
I'm good though... one day at a time! How are you sistah?
(((((((((((((Hugs to all the dustbunnies!!!!))))))))))))))))))
Housework is overated!!!!
-
Arnie, what the heck did you do to tear your rotator cuff??? The gardening you did this summer shouldn't have been that rough on you. Did you fall???
I figured you were still doing yard work and as it gets colder it sinks to your bones.
-
lol... I don't know barbe... I'm always doing something I shouldn't be doing :-O
-
Yah, but that might affect your crafting!!! That's no good! Save the hands! Save the hands! I've always said I'd rather lose my legs than my arms as I (used to be) am a big crafter too! My DH just finished painting my sewing room (2nd bedroom) yesterday but when do I get to set it up??
What are they doing for you Arnie?
-
Well.... I got a shot of cortisone two weeks ago. The first couple of days I was sorry I got it, but then it started feeling better. I'd say right now it feels 60% better. When I saw my doc Wed. he said that is temporary of course and he can only give me two more when it starts wearing off. I said I'll take it!!!! The only course of action after that is surgery to fix the tear... I want to put that off as long as I can.
Oh Barbe... I just did a job today, recovering two pillows for my sister's mother-in-law. I love sewing too!!! Lately I've been making lit glass bottles... Janets lit Jugs...hehehe I hope you get to set it up soon!
-
Hiya Lemonette Bunnies!!!! It's so good to see you all posting. I think about you everyday.
Shinyyyyyyy!!!!!! Someone needs to nominate you for "Mother of the Year"!!!!!!! You've got to be THE most hands-on mummy that I know. Give the little munchkins big hugs from Auntie Coonie please. How are things going with the kitties?? I know the kids love them!! Probably more for you to take care of though, huh?
Poor Arnie too...........all lemonette feeling........I was thinking about nice lush picture I posted several months back. I thought it was just some bunnies enjoying someone's garden of fresh veggies. I learned what it REALLY was from some of you though. I think it's about time we see that garden again. It might help some of us lemonettes feel better......don't they say that "these" veggies are supposed to help with pain..............or either make you not give a flying rip if you've got pain..........LOLOL
Sure looks harmless to me. The vegetables look healthy:)
It's so good to see ya'll posting...Arnie, Barbe, Faithie, Sharon, Shiny, Vivvygirl.......I wonder alot where our other posters have disappeared to..........do some of you remember these? 1Cathi, Dreamwriter, EWB, Hollyann, Jane_M, Jayne in UK, Kathleen, KAK, LMDuncan (Lori), Mumayan, Julz4, MaryRose, Jaimieh, Lovinmomma, Dejaboo, BKC (with the 2 cute little girls), OhioDeb, and of course MomtoTwo. We had us a pretty good list going of lemonettes.....changing ideas, etc.
Sending hugs to each and every one of you!!!!
-
Now----tell me.........who needs a housekeeper real soon? Looks like I've found just the right person.
-
LOL...
Woo Hoo!!!! This is what I'd look like if I ate some of your veggies Coonie!!! lol
It might make housecleaning more fun....nah!
-
Arnie, what are lit bottles??? Do tell!!!!
Hey Coonie, most of those ladies are on Facebook now, but some are still on other threads.
-
LOL... just noticed your post Barbe. I make bottles that are lit up... anything or any bottle. I just sold two tonight. If I do say so myself they are pretty cool.... I just donated two breast cancer bottles to my team leader for relay for life to sell in December at one of her meetings... it's fun and makes me a little bit of profit...
Hope you're all having a blessed weekend "dustbunnies"!
-
Okay, give....how do you light them? With rope lighting???? How do you hide the cord? Have you tried glass (plastic) blocks?
-
Yep... I make the glass blocks...for Christmas they look like presents. I use one ended Christmas lights and drill a hole in the back. I just sold another one last night... it looked like a Genie bottle. I make wine bottles with golden grapes... any bottle can be made to light up :-) My daughter came up with the name, "Janet's Lit Jugs" and I thought it was funny... lol
I make them for businesses too. I've made one for our local meat market with a see through pic of their establishment and decorated it for Christmas... I also made one for AutoAmeriStar... a car place. It's not real lucrative, but I'll pay for Thanksgiving dinner this week and it's fun and creative.
How you doin' Barbe? Are your aches better?
-
The vitamin D is helping my aches a lot so that's good!
I LOVE those lit bottles!!!! Too fun.
My craft room is painted, now I just have to unpack it all and find time to get back to healing my soul....
-
The pics don't do them justice...wish I had Mum's husband to photograph them...lol But these will give you an idea...
-
Oh Barbe...let me know when you get it back together!!!! It is healing to the soul... I'm so happy to hear that the Vit. D is working for you!!!! ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
-
Arnie!!! They're beautiful!!!!

Hi Housework bunnies, just stopping by to say hello. Miss you all and think of you all the time. I spend a lot of time on FB talking to my sistahs too. If anyone is over there, look me up!

Hey on a serious note, my girlfriends brother Bob who lives two door down from me is being rushed to the U of M burn center.... His house just burned down and he got badly burned trying to get his cats out... sorry to say the cats did not make it. Please pray for my girlfriend Sandiy and her brother Bob... thanx
-
Oh my goodness Arnie!! How awful. I'm so sorry. Sending prayers.....and a hug for you!!
-
So sorry for that news Arnie, sending prayers up right now. Bless them. We had a family friend who went through major burns and rehab. Very long and hard, but glad to say he made it against the odds and had a long life. All my best.
I am doing some laminating and printing of resources tonight, but I think I will get to bed soon, to impress both Barbe and my body for being so sensible.
My brain seems like mush these days..sorry I am not on much, but think of you all each day.
Special Allo to my friend Sharon.

Thanks you two.... I really appreciate it. Bob is in stable but critical condition.... prayers are appreciated. Sandiy, my friend and his sister is taking a bad hit from this fire to. The house is in her name and Bob let the house insurance lapse recently. Total loss for her... we going to be having a fundraiser to help her rent a dumpster to clear the house out and get it secured for winter. I just hugged her and prayed with her and reminded her that our Father sees farther then us.
xoxoxo
-
Hey, Arnie, just saw this story on your FB page. Adding prayers, even if late in the story. It's good that you can help in the aftermath of such a loss.

I seriously appreciate seeing so many of our 'old-regulars' popping in.

PAIN, PAIN, PAIN. My feet are killing me. The docs now say it is likely to be permanent. I started PT yesterday. I also have scar tissue on the left. PT says she thinks she can break that up. It is so bad, it is actually displacing one of my ribs. As for the feet, she thinks she can help with foot drop and balance, but there's not a whole lot that can be done for the pain. ARGH!
-
Arnie, more prayers for Sandy and Bob....how sad!!
Jane, is it Plantar Fascitis (sp?).....check it out. There's a boot you can wear at night.
-
Jane I can relate to the foot pain I often end up hobbling along like an old lady.Try the voltaren gel it does help.
