welcome back LUCYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
-
Yea Lucy!! I really missed you but am so happy to hear that DH is so much better. I am so sad to hear about Neicy. Why do we have "breast awareness" when doctors ignore the symptoms? If anyone should be "aware" shouldn't it be medical personnel?
Faith ... too funny! Barbe's right - out of the mouth of babes!
2Hands4me: Time is flying girl! It just seems like yesterday I was looking forward to spring.
Mum ... I second Arnie's motion that you have a good time.
Arnie ... I miss you so much - I know you are busy but I still miss you.
Shiny ... so sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I know the feeling. Mine is from "old age" but by nightfall I hurt so badly I can hardly move!
Update: we pick up my niece from the airport (she came in from Pittsburgh - she is a student at the University of Pittsburgh) to fly out again this afternoon with her sister and my sister to Africa. This is another of my sister's medical missions and this time she is taking our nieces! My aunt is coming over to keep me "company" as they will be gone for two weeks.
Everyone have a lovely day and weekend. If I missed anyone, it was certainly not intentional - it was my swiss cheese brain.
-
(((((((((((((((LUCY)))))))))))))))
(((((((((((((KATHLEEN)))))))))))))))))))) So glad your aunt is coming to stay with you...
All ((((((((((((((((((((dustbunnies)))))))))))))))))))!!!!!
I've been dealing with some "back" and "arm" problems.... don't get on here as often as I'd like! Dh still prays for the ladies on my thread every night during our grace prayer... think of you all daily!
xoxoxo
-
Kathleen, hope your sister and neices have a safe trip.......
I have been having LE issues myself......Left arm and hand swell up sometimes and I get a burning sensation in my arm and near my shoulder........ Another "gift" from the BC demon.......
I have missed you all so much....I now have puter access!!...YEAH!......
((((((To all of you))))))
-
Lucy ... it is so good to hear from you and so happy you have access to a computer! Sorry about the LE.
Everyone is finally on their way to Africa. Our kitchen area looks like a Wal-Mart exploded in it! As usual, my sister bought way too much and ended up leaving a lot here. Guess who has to clean that up? The way she loves to shop, I'm trembling just thinking about what she is bringing back - every poor country she goes to experiences a surge in their economy! This house is full to the brim and she will bring back a ton of stuff! She may have to build onto this house just for some place to put all her purchases.
-
Lucy, so good to hear you have your DH on track. Very scary to be responsible for another's mental health!! Men are not usually receptive to taking meds on a regular basis either, because as soon as they start to feel good, they stop! They should put the meds in tea or beer.....
Finally back on-line after a 10 day hiatus where I painted and unboxed at our new place. Very happy place, I must say.
-
Barbe ... I bet your new place is just adorable - can you post pictures? How are the grandbabies?
I am looking for a way to turn old jewelry into home decor and simply cannot find anything unique. Would love some input.
-
Jewelry can be glued or sewn onto sandals, flip flops, handbags - "embellishments" to create some bling.
-
My sister and two nieces left for Africa a week ago. They will be home next Sunday. I know my sister will endeavor to "boost" their economy by buying everything in sight!
Arnie showed me pictures of her neighbors projects using jewelry but I will keep looking - thanks GramE!
Lucy ... how goes it?
Barbe ... all moved in?
Arnie ... my aunt left yesterday after being here for a week. Why does anyone suppose I need company when my sister travels. Just her work schedule leaves me alone most of the time - she works 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. As soon as she gets home, she goes to bed and doesn't get up until 5 p.m. So, even when she is here I am by myself! Years ago my Mom asked what I wanted to be when I grew up and I said a "hermit." Years later my Mom told me she had no idea I was serious!
-
Kathleen, I am quite happy on my own too. I enjoy my own company and would resent someone thinking I needed to be "babysat"! I do want to post pics of some of the rooms, let me charge my camera battery and tweak a bit more....
-
I wonder if there are so many people out there who don't really like themselves and never want to be alone...Barbe and Kathleen, like you I really do enjoy my time on my schedule doing things with the company of ME. Why is that so hard for people to understand? another mystery of the world to solve.
-
Oh boy havent been on here since forever... skipped 6 pages... i admit it.
Happy everything to everyone I missed.
-
Elaine, it's because we are comfortable in our own skin. I don't harbour secrets OR lies so I am at peace.
-
I skipped more than 6 pages too but wanted to stop by and say hello to all my old friends. I think about you all everyday! I love hearing about your lives on FB too. Hello everyone!
-
Love it when the thread 'picks up' again!!!
Especially when it's due to seeing ol' friends!!!
My big news of the night, Scott, our SIL just arrived home from his latest 7 week deployment!!!!!
His own AF plane was unable to make it back to the states to be landed, due to Veteran's Day of all things...... he went from European AFB to European AFB and then took a series of flights. His dad picked him up & dropped him off at his front door.
I was just reading to the twinzies in their jammies, when he knocked on their bedroom door.
I thought their hair would explode -- they were so surprised, so excited.
It was such a thrill to be there for his grand entrance.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Shiny. I've been sending you all sorts of the peachiest vibes. Thinking of you & wonder how you're holding up...... how you're making it thru the doctor rounds????
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
What a grand entrance for a Dad to make!!!!!!! Will really keep them on their toes as they get older wondering if Dad is watching them....heheheheheh
-
Hi ladies,
Just off to sleep. Don't know where to start and too late in the evening for me nowadays (you'd be impressed Barbe with my curfew).
Thanks for the peachy vibes Faith.xx Same to you daaaaaaaaaaarling. When is your Uk tour starting.
Love your picture barbe, gorgeous! Coonie and Co, I think of you all often!
Ok gang, am soooo behing and with DH working in Milan 4 days a week and me lemonette, and kids needs, just about keeping up with the basics, hence my awful record on here since last year! ayayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaye. Slap me! I am doing well with improving things for DS's SEN.
My cous, just diagnosed. Still waiting on her stats but 6cm multiple areas. Praying for her.
I just don't know where to start for catching up with all of your news. What I have managed to read seems pretty positive. And so good to see EWB on here.xx
Still awaiting re referral appointments, am told "soon". (for lung/chest problems and also for hypochondrium pain I have had for over 1 year now). Coping on codeine and over the counter stuff, but has slowed me down a great deal which is a shame on kids. Also my 1 good eye is now problematic, so awaiting for appointment for that. Rest of my lemonette issues are same.
Feeling full of love and appreciation for my lovely kiddos and my DH and for all my wonderful friends, bunnies included.
Oh, by the way, in case you are wondering. kids just as precious as ever. DS starting to get very excited at the notion that Santa's sleigh will indeed be in his very own garden next month. DD gaining some more confidence and settling into Junior school. My job is the best looking after those 2.
Ohhh and we have 2, 3 month old cats now, which we all adore. I was originally looking for a companion dog for DS but realised i don't have the stamina to do that.
Sweet dreams all. Bonsoir, bonne nuit, beaux reves a tous!
