Skin Mets vs. IBC

Hello,

 If you have skin mets, does that automatically mean you have inflammatory breast cancer?

    I really don't know, but i don't think so.  I think skin mets are possible with any type of bc, not specific to ibc.... hopefully someone who knows more will come along soon.  You may consider asking in the IBC thread also...

    I had skin mets on my mastectimy scar line.  I had it biopsied and it came back with the same characteristics of my previous diagnosis and not IBC.  My mets did not look like what I had found on the internet.  They were flat and red rash like.  I was put on Navelbine and Herceptin and they when away in about 3 months.  Jill
