Huh, have you seen a dermatologist?

LiveStrongMom, when you first posted in the Canadian forum back in September, I suggested that before anything else, you see a dermatologist.  There's no question that you needed to find out what was causing this rash, but from your description of the rash and your other symptoms (or lack of other symptoms) the likelihood that it was a skin condition was much greater than the likelihood that it was IBC.  So it simply made sense to investigate this as a skin condition first before going down the IBC path.

When you posted again some time later, in the 'Not Diagnosed" forum (I think), I repeated that advice.  I also suggested the same thing when you sent me a PM.  I even found out that there appears to be weekly dermatology clinic at your local hospital (it's on the hospital's website although of course I can't confirm if they actually run the clinic every week). 

Rather than find a way to get in to see a dermalogist, you continued to see your doctor and various other doctors in Emergency - I believe in one post you mentioned that you've been seen 10 times about this.  Rather than find out if this was a skin condition (which continued to be the probable explanation as you described our ongoing symptoms), you continued to pursue IBC, getting an ultrasound and a punch biopsy. When someone else posted about concerns about the cost to you of all your doctor's visits, you pointed out that you are in Canada and therefore there is no cost.  But of course that's not true.  To be perfectly honest, as a Canadian taxpayer whose taxes fund healthcare, I think that this has been a blatant abuse of the system.  

Now you've had a BIRADs 1 ultrasound (which is the best possible result - I don't think I've had a BIRADs 1 in my life; mine are always BIRADs 2) and a biopsy that indicates dermatitis.  The detailed description from your biopsy talks about a skin condition. This is a breast cancer website so I doubt that there is anyone here who is going to know much about this. Rather than have us do your research for you, my suggestion is that you find a way to get yourself to a dermatologist so that you can get your answers there.

My apologies for being so blunt. But sometimes someone just needs a kick in the pants in order to get moving in the right direction.  Honestly in this case I think it's time for that now.
