It is unually hot here in Vegas. It is supposed to cool down to the 90's by the weekend, but it is still over 100 degrees. So, pack light clothes!!! Sometimes the restaurants and casinos are cool, so I always bring a light hoodie or jacket along. You never know (plus I get hot flashes and then get cold with this lovely chemopause).
I look forward to seeing y'all on Friday evening!
-
I just flew on Continental last weekend. I had wheel chair assistance on the flight out there. My first bag was free. If I checked in a 2nd bag it was $32. My sister had booked the flight on her miles, so I don't know if it was her miles or my wheel chair assistance that got me the free bag check, but worth a try. The wheel chair assistance was nice, esp since I'm still on chemo and can't walk too far.
Also, we flew first class back from NYC and all 3 of our checked bags were free. And we got priority baggage. Ours were the first ones off the belt. I got the upgrade to 1st class through my sister's miles. but if it works for the Cancer Card - PLAY IT!!!!!
-
KITTY...AWESOME!!! YOU DESERVE THE SPECIAL TREATMENT!!! YOU ROCK!
Well I guess everybody is sleeping...I need to get to bed...need to get up early and print off boarding passes!! WOO HOOO!!!!
Catch ya on the flip side!

32 HOURS!!!!
-
Woo Hoo!!!! Printed out my Boarding Pass! This time tomorrow I will will be in the air!!!
-
Hello Joyce....I will be working all morning so it will be lunch before I can print out my boarding pass then I will feel everything is set to go. Checkin time at PH is 3:00 and checkout is 11am
see you at Starbucks
-
me, too Joyce- This time tomorrow...Printed my Pass, Ready to go (sort of-I'm not packed yet!) 'The check in time is often not real and they will let you check in earlier..but we'll see.
I'm so EXCITED!!! LOVE YOU ALL... JUDY
-
Hello Judy......yeah about the room check-in time....I think what determines that is if someone was in the room before you and housekeeping needs to be done. If they get to it early on and you get there and it is clean then you can get it before 3.....it has happeded to us both ways...sometimes early and then times when we had to wait
Ready to go Judy and not packed....girl, that is what was stressing me out so I got packed 2 days ago....
Laura, Thanks for the update on Taylor....continuing to pray
off to work I go
-
Love to all the Vegas ladies....a wave of pink will hit it
.
Fly safe, have fun!!!
Laura, I will pray for your son. (Did they check him for Lyme?)
love you all
annie

Journey's got a boarding pass printed and ready to go! Working today, (kind of
), then home tonight to re-pack more sensibly. Leave to drive to the airport 7AM. I'm ready to be there! Y'all be safe and see you soon!
-
I can't print my boarding pass for another 1.45 hours. Busy doing some last minute touch ups for the ladies luncheon - hosted at my house (still don't know what the heck I was thinking!).
Need to get in the shower before they come because I am kicking them out at 1:30 pm since I have a 1:45 hair salon appt. Was going to get a pedicure until I found out they cost $40! I had no idea!
Linda54 - I will put your t-shirt on the top of my clothes in my suitcase and I can give it to you at the airport as we will meet up with one another. The sign has to be turned over to me so I will see ya'll off and wait for the next group.
-
Just printed off my boarding pass...I am ready for VEGAS
jancie....what were you thinking having those ladies over LOL....OK see you are the airport
Hey...go ahead and treat yourself to that pedi
Laura, that is so sweet of you to want to do something for the sisters. You have a very sweet and caring soul.
-
Just checked and my flight is leaving as scheduled.. That is so far.. I will be leaving for the airport in 2 hours.. Can't wait! The weather in 'NJ is horrible so I will take the hot 91 degree days.. See you all there!
-
I so need to take a valium. The ladies are arriving any minute now and I am a nervous wreck!
My cooking is great - my cake turned out like crap - it fell apart over and over again as I was putting icing on it. A fresh pot of coffee was just started, plenty of ice....
I hate being a hostess. I am not good at it because I always worry - will they like the food, is my house clean enough, are the animals going to drive them nuts, are they going to have fun and enjoy themselves. The list goes on and on in my head!
My clothes are on the bed, the stuff that I absolutely want to take. I will pack tonight.
-
Colleen DRIVE SAFELY!!! Are you driving alone???
-
KEW - We'll miss you, almost fellow roomie! Hope you're doing well!
Thanks for all the workout info - I'll stick the sneaks in and look for walking buddies then!
