THE 2ND TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS!!
Comments
-
Please take a moment to say a prayer for those who have to back out of this trip because of treatment. Everybody has their own reasons for not being able to go, but I think it truly brings things home when our sisters can't join us because of treatment. We will be toasting and celebrating each and every one of you!!!
MAJOR HUGS!

Jazzy I didn't receive a pm only one fom Cheryl....
-
LOL Laura....I am only bringing a carry-on so no room for my "personal" fan....
I am bringing a stack of those "Elvis" fans that I sent to some of you last year. We all can fan away with those. hehehe wake up in the middle of the night and reach for Elvis!!!!
so sorry to hear that some of our TaTa's cannot make it.... :-(
-
jkz I think Jazzy is trying to hear from some ladies and has PMd those. You are probably good to go if you have not rec'd a PM. Linda - THANK you for the fan! My heat waves come in spurts and unfortunately I seem to be smack dab in the worst wave yet. Hoping it subsides before the trip.
Black TaTa shirts if you have them for the piano bar sounds like a great plan. That's gonna be a blast I can tell!
As for clothes I wouldn't worry too much about our wardrobes. If you like and want to dress up go for it, and if you are a casual gal then roll with it. I just love that for once we are not a group of women judging each other but assembling to cherish and lift up each other as only survivors can!
-
Sorry meant to add - Prayers for those not able to go and receiving treatments!
-
Ditto to what Journey said about the clothes...whatever makes you feel good is all that matters...
Gretchen, I do hope your heat waves subside. I usually carry a stiff piece of paper in my purse to use as an instant fan.
TaTa shirts are a must for Piano Bar...
-
EVERYONE!!! CINDY (CYDZ) HAS A T-SHIRT LARGE THAT SAYS "SAVE THE TA TA'S" FOR $25 IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO BUY IT.
She purchased an extra one by mistake. So do you need one or no of anyone who might need one for our wonderful get together. Please PM Cindy and let her know. Your response would be greatly appreciated!

Hi ladies, looking forward to our trip to Vegas! Just got back from my anniversary trip to San Diego. The weather was so awesome. We had the most amazing time there. Wish I could of brought the weather home with me.
Everything seems to be coming together nicely. I appreciate everyone posting the cost of everything. It makes planning a lot easier especially if you are on a budget. Plus this is 2 vacations for me within a month of each other.
Unfortunately my friend Joy Hatfield (wildfilee) will not be able to make to Vegas due to family and health issues at this time. I wish she would of been able to make it cause she really needed to get away. So please keep her in your thoughts.
Well need to go get started with my day. I get to watch my granddaughter this weekend. She is only 6 weeks old. So precious. I love being a grandma!
-
Thanks, Elizabeth but the shirt has already been spoken for! Someone responded to my earlier post right away! Thanks you your help, though!! Should have put it out there that it was gone.
-
Sorry to hear that anyone is having unexpected / more treatment at this time... prayers for all.

Just stopped by to say "HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND".... a couple of weeks and we will be meeting in Vegas Yeah!!!!!

I wonder if the rooms of 4 can get refrigerators? Does anyone know?
-
I am not sure about the fridge Deborah. I know we got one last year... and we also got one when my hubby and I went a few weeks ago. You could call the hotel and ask.... I am sure they do... but... as sure as you ''assume"... they WON'T have one... I would call. I am bringing my coffee pot.. so if anyone wants special coffee... please feel free to bring some. I will have Truvia, creamers and coffee and cups..... please bring what you like.
Ladies... we are getting so close... how much fun we are going to have....
What Journey said... it matters NOTHING what we look like ... we should just dress how we always do at home... we are together to celebrate our BEING ALIVE!.... ( I am celebrating my hair...lol... as TRACY said).... we are ALL beautiful !!! Yes we ARE!
-
It seems to me most hotels of this type have mini-fridges as standard equipment (like hair dryers). Has anyone called and asked?
-
Lilah... KEEP meaning to tell you.. I love the Fedora !!!!!!!! Great shot!
-
Also.. many of the hotels stock their.. " in room fridges"... if opened... YOU PAY. This is how it was last year at the Mirage. SO... you have to ask for an entirely separate Fridge. They will usually bring one to your room... actually, I think Deborah was the one who new to ask for another one.
If you open THEIR in room fridge.. you get charged for the contents... IT STINKS!
LAst year... as my CC was holding room.... I put TAPE and a sign on ours.....DO NOT OPEN...LOL LOL LOL.........
-
Thanks Laura
I don't usually wear hats but I had it on against the sun in the Hamptons. My Dad took that picture!
I am going to call PH and see what they say about refrigerators. Stay tuned.
-
OK I called PH and asked. The woman I spoke to said there are fridges in the room and they ARE full of stuff. So if you want an empty fridge you have to rent one for $30/day. They get you either way.
-
I don't know of anything I need bad enough to pay $30 a day for a frig.
DO NOT OPEN their stocked frig that is in the room....BTW..what is it stocked with?
-
Usually stocked with sodas, small liquors, snacks... usually doesn't trigger if you OPEN the fridge. What triggers it is if you move something inside it. So for example if you were to pick up a soda and look at it and put it back, you would be charged for it even if you didn't drink it becuase the sensor would have been triggered under the item.
-
Hi Sistas,
Speaking of the the hotel stay, I usually ask for "late checkout" and that usually means 2pm.
And for the fridge, my friends will go to a CVS/Warlgreens and pick up a styrofoam ice chest (beats the $30/day). FYI
I can't wait to meet you guys!!!
-
Yes and at a highly inflated price for the privilege! Hubby & I did that once while on vacation but I avoid the fridge all other times. It would be nice to have some bottled water in the room but guess you can but some in an ice bucket with a little ice to have on hand. Anyway, good to know about the potential extra charges!
SUSIE - HOW MANY DAYS SISTA???
-
LOL Paula ! Our posts came in at the same time - both of us responding to Lilah! Great idea on the cooler!
BTW Lilah - I LOVE your hat!
Can't wait to meet y'all in person!
-
LOVE LOVE The Hat!! I'm a hot girl-got quite the collection!!
Sorry to hear some of our SISTA'S wont be able to come-we'll get you next year, but our thougths will be with you!!
We got a fridge last year at no cost at the Mirage-But I'm with getting a foam chest if you need one, can use the ice from the hotel.
OMGOSH...we now have 2 awesme videos going around for Breast Cancer..the one I posted here for Mammograms & now Part 2 to the PINK GLOVE DANCE..if you havent seen them..they are a must. One makes me LOL & the other Tears!!!! Jazzy, can you post the part 2 Pink Glove??
Ok Journey are you ready?? TA TA'S?? 12 days till Vegas WAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
-
LOL LOL...I just read whay I typed & laughing my head off..rather than correct it...I'll just say I meant to type "HAT" not Hot...guess my mind was trying to tell me something LOL
Still 12 days till Vegas BABY!!!!!!
XOXO (((HUGS))) Susie
-
LOL Susie -- well you ARE a hot girl
Thanks all for the nice words!
And good idea re: late checkout!
-
Lilah: That is outrageous! I am driving to Vegas with a friend who has a house there....and I will bring a cooler.
-
I did not ask the question, but sometimes they will provide a small fridge for people with medical needs (like insulin for diabetics, which needs refrigeration) for no charge. I think such fridges are smaller than normal, though. If someone feels enterprising they can call and ask. I'm sorry I didn't think to ask that when I called.
-
Looking forward to our trip. Sounds like everyone knows what they are doing and asking all the right questions. I am staying at Desert Rose Resort and I have a kitchenette there. So I know it is not PH but if you feel like driving over to my side you can put stuff in mine. I am over by Hooters and MGM. Where is the Crystal/Center at? Are we meeting at PH then going over to the Crystal Center. I have been trying to keep track of the schedule and plan accordingly. I like to have an idea what is around that casino so I am not looking everywhere to find it. I am not sure if I am going to do the limo. I might drive there myself. Just to save money. Though riding with the girls does sound like fun. Well I am going to check in later.
