Are there going to be a cover charge at the Piano Bar on Sat night? OK just went back and read Tracey's post that there is a $25 charge.....and extra for anything you drink? right?
Friday night at the LaScena bar....$8.50 each for a seat????
Transportation is approx $15 a day???? is that right
trying to figure out how much cash I need....and also good to have some small bills to pay for transportation and for our seat at LaScena
money for gambling and misc....
most restaurants will take Credit cards right? I did read a post from Estepp that some restaurants may not want to do separate checks for a big crowd. Credit card at Bellagio....Sat breakfast at Kahunaville (idea cost of this)
maybe cash for the Rumba bar Sunday night goodbye...I am not a drinker so not much money being spent on alcohol for me....
anything I have left out?
my arrival time has slightly changed....10 minutes later than previously scheduled

Had to share this with someone! Just had lunch with my hubby and as I was getting out of the car he tells me how much he loves me in my skin tight jeans...the problem is they aren't supposed to be skin tight!
Guess it's time to cut back on the sweets again.
Linda - I'm with you trying to come up with the bank roll I need to take. Did I read some place that we need cash for the group meals as well because the wait-staff may or may not be able to split it up? (understandably!).
-
Just went bathing suit shopping. NOT my favorite thing to do. Boy, was that ever an eye opener! Think I can tone up these thunder thighs in 2 weeks????????

Thanks Jazzy for keeping us all organized! Now can you tell us what we are to wear, in particular these clubs seem to be pretty dressy when I check them out on the internet! Let's just say I can no longer zip up the one & only cocktail dress I have & it's not because the zipper is broken!
Are slacks & nice shirts acceptable? When are we to wear our TaTas shirts??? I'm thinking we should all wear white pants, capris, or skirts with our TaTas shirts to get us more attention! LOL!
-
In Vegas you can wear whatever YOU WANT! Last year we wore our tata shirts at the meet and greeet so we could recognize eachother...but this year we will be going straight to LeScena from the meet and greet and I'm not too sure if everybody wants to wear them there....We will FOR SURE wear our shirts to the Piano bar.
-
Thanks Jazzy
Hope we are not going anywhere really dressy because I am not bringing heels or a fancy outfit. I am packing very light so no room for uncomfortable items....LOL...I do have a very casual dress that I can wear with sandals...I am bringing it. I will be bringing a little wrap in case some of these places are too cold.
If we are going straight to the LaScena then I guess we will have to wear our shirts....That is fine with me..one less top I have to bring...
edited to add:...of course we will have on our shirts but I meant to say TATA shirts...hehehe
-
Linda, we all know you will be as cute as a button!
-
Linda, I always bring a wrap or a sweater when out. I find the casinos and restrurants are to cold for me. Well, not once I get going. HA HA.
See you in Vegas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Heymoose-I too arrive on 9/30. Would love to meet up with you and the other early arrivers for a drink! Let's get this party started...

this is what I tried to post last night...
I had a great time this weekend at the dragon boat races
Long story shorts is that we got 2nd place, but we were all 1st in getting to know eachother better. We had a beautiful weekend. Sunday for the carnation ceremony my team paddled out to the other 2 boats of survivors as this song was being played. Everytime they said paddles up we raised our paddles. I did a google search last night and found the lyrics and u-tube of it plus the story behind how it was created and shared with my breast of friends group. It was so moving getting so many touching e-mails today about how everybody had a great time. ok here's what I found...
TAKE IT AWAY
Women of power paddling strong,
Each with a story to share
Joined in battlestriumphant spirit
Always a shoulder to spare.
Paddles up! Take it away!
Paddles up! Take it away!
Make every one strong
And we can't go wrong!
Take it away!
Miracles happen when we pull together.
Dig deep, eye aheadall as one!
Miracles-in-motionwe glide through the water.
Winners of every race run!
Paddles up! Take it away!
Paddles up! Take it away!
Make every one strong
And we can't go wrong!
Take it away!
Paddles up! Take it away!
Paddles up! Take it away!
Make every one strong
And we can't go wrong!
Take it away!
Paddles up! Take it away!
Paddles up! Take it away!
Make every one strong
As we paddle on!
Take it away!
Take it away!
Take it away!
Take it away! -
Sandy-I'm all choked up!! WOW-how up lifting!!!! Thank you sooooooo much for sharing-I'm so glad you got to be part of it!!!!
GBUSSE along with some of the other girls I believe were able to get us coupons for meals & buy one get one free drinks at various places-one of our Breakfast's...many used that coupon. I saw some splitting meals due to the size, it also helped on cost if you find someone who likes the same thing. I still have a few coupons left & from my last trip-will offer them to anyone interested.
Can ya all say 17 days till VEGAS!!!! WAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

Wow Sandy, that sounds like an AMAZING event. I'm glad you placed so well, but it sounds like the emotional connections you made were the highlight.
Jazzy, thanks for the schedule and the expenses. Where is this City Center? There are some of us who won't be coming from PH so will need to know exactly where to meet everyone Friday night.
-
I am stuffed already, thinking about all this eating!
Jazzy -- great job recreating the T-shirt!
Looking forward to all of it ladies
-
Thanks Lilah! It was more difficult than it looks...it took me forever to decide on a font that was close to our shirts...anyway...
Sandy...how WONDERFUL!!!
I think the Saturday breakfast is $7.99. I will confirm with Gisella.

OK -- this may be a dumb question -- re: Friday night meet and greet at Crystal City Center 7 - 8:30 PM -- are we to plan to eat dinner BEFORE this meet and greet? Or during it in small groups? I am confused -- it's late here so that may be why (except I've kinda been wondering this since you posted it the first time).
-
Lilah
I think I will need to eat before the meet and greet....I am in central time zone 9:00 and at 7:00 Vegas time by tummy will be telling me it is way past meal time. I don't like to get so hungry that I try to eat everything in sight.....lol...I try to eat something every 3 hrs to keep hunger down. I know this will not work in Vegas though.
-
Lilah, you will probably want to eat before the meet and greet, but you can also eat during ... it's totally up to you. There are a lot of places to eat at the city center, that's why it was suggested that you could grab a bite to eat there...whether you go a little early or while you are there. The meet and greet is basically a mingle thing. We will all be meeting and hugging...and laughing....and hugging....so eating before might be easier since our hands will be tied up by all that hugging. :-)
We definitely want to get a group picture of all of us on the stairway at Crystals, so make sure you are there for that!! The meet and greet is the only event where everybody is scheduled to attend so this is the perfect time for a photo op.
Gisella really tried to get us a dinner along with the meet and greet but with the size of our group it just wasn't possible unless we had a financial backer. :-) So this was the best option. I hope you all can understand.
Oh MY.....WE ARE ALMOST IN VEGAS!!! WOO HOO!!! YEAH BAYBEE!!!
-
Jazzy - thanks for keeping us straight! I just printed the schedule to make sure I don't get lost, but hopefully since you are my roomie I'll get where I need to be when I need to be there! I do have a question about attire Friday night. It's a group picture but we are not wearing our TaTa shirts then but will the next night at the Piano Bar - right? (I know that this is not school and there are no Rules but just want to pack appropriately).
-
Well I'm hoping between all of us we will find our way around! I have never been to the City Center yet so I'm excited to see it...it looks so pretty!
We haven't really decided on if we are wearing the tata shirts Friday or not...We all need to decide this...and it does kinda feel like a field trip of sorts. :-)

Hello ladies,
I thought I would join in on all this excitement !!! I started reading BCO last year when I was first diagnosed but I don't post much and I have been away for awhile so I still consider myself a newbie.
I am from Montreal (Canada) and I met a very special person Terri, through BCO also from Montreal. We met several times and we connected instantly. Although I consider myself to be a little shy .... I agreed without hesitation to be a part of this amazing get together. I am so grateful that Terri took care of all the reservations from our end. She sent me a PM last week suggesting that I go to BCO and catch up on this thread and OMG I am so glad I did. Lots of positive energy and enthusiasm and I am so excited to meet everyone.!!!
First of all I want to thank all the organizers for planning this trip. You ladies are fabulous and have done a great job with all the arrangements.
This trip is going to be a blast !!!
Once again many , many thanks to all !!!! .
See you soon !!!
.
Sylvia
