I wake up at 5:00 to 84 degrees.  Went down south for my CT yesterday.  Trafic was excellent and we made it there in 2 hours.  Luckily we were early because they forgot to tell me to have my creatonin levels checked, so that put my test off about an hour and 45 minutes.  My arm looks like i've been in battle with a hematoma where I had the blod draw, and one blown vein from the first try at the iv.

The weather at my appointment location was a lovely 76.  After 3 hours there, we traveled eastward about 45 miles to visit a friend.  We spent most of out time indoors as the temps were 108 there, but at least we weren't home, as the temps reached 111 here yesterday!

Today is supposed to be 104.

I'm sitting out by my pool with the dogs swimming watching it rain, again.  Most rain I can remember in a long time.  It is 77 degrees which is almost unheard of this time of year.  It is supposed to have some sun for the weekend.  DH has been out of town and comes home tongiht.  We will watch lots of baseball and enjoy our weekend.  Hope all of you do too.

    Meece, toooooo hot.

Only hit 107° yesterday.  It is supposed to cool down a bit this weekend, but what does that mean?  99° or 80°?

We had a beautiful day after the temps recovered from 46 degrees this morning.  Now a warm front is coming through and we'll be in the upper 80s and low 90s but like Sheila, low humidity so it won't feel as hot.  Glad you had an uneventful trip yesterday Meece.

Our cooling trend this week is going to end, expecting highs back in the 90's tomorrow, and still watching where hurricane Danielle is heading, may affect our weather by the end of the week.

We are definately getting fall weather patterns. This week weather man says lows in the 60's and highs in the low 90's. My sinuses are feeling the extreme temp changes, head is stopped up and sneezing. My son is ready to move back to Hawaii, he never had sinus problems the 4 yrs he was stationed there.

Another thing to watch in the weather department is the hurricane patterns. the end of August through September is the active hurricane season. Danielle didn't affect our weather much but we are watching out for Earl, if the system moving across this week is slow, we may get effects from Earl on Thurs or Friday.

Yesterday had a high of 79.  It was so nice.  No AC on the entire day or night.  I see my power bill going down a bit this month!  Right now it is 53 and should get back up tp 83 today.

I am so glad we don't have hurricane season.

I too am glad we don't have a hurricane season.  Keeping my ears open for the news Sheila and hoping the storms don't affect you.

Wow Meece, quite a cool down.  We were at 92 degrees yesterday with high humidity.  The weather guessers predicted a high of 88 with very low humidity.  90s today and tomorrow and then high 80s on Wed.  Thursday we MIGHT have rain - it's been a long while since we've had rain.  I'll keep you all posted!

Usually the hurricanes that hit the coast of SC or NC are downgraded back to a tropical storm by the time it gets to my area and we only get a little bit of wind and sometimes a lot of rain, but when my son was 4, we were hit by the eye of Hurricane Hugo. There was quite a bit of wind damage and trees and power lines taken down. My parents were out of power for 3 days, but some in more remote areas were out of power for up to 2 weeks.

It does look like Earl will stay off the coast but who knows about Fiona. We keep a watch on the 'spaghetti' chart.

I was thinking that this weather is so nice, it is about time to start up my break-time walks again.  But then it is supposed to be back around 100 by Friday.  Sigh

We're supposed to go from hot, hot summer (90s) to upper 60s by Friday.  I don't love it too much.  I'll be going wine tasting in the cool temps this weekend.  Oh well, the wine will warm me upLaughing

That sounds like a great idea.  We need to head out to taste wine, but Labor Day weekend might be hectic.  I took Friday off so I will have a day to knock around the house by myself.  I may just stay on BC.org and post all day long...do a marathon.Smile

It was 84 yesterday and should be 90 today.  Back up the yoyo string.

We are back to  decent weather. Low 90's today. It's not perfect but nice enough to enjoy going outside in.

Hope you all have a beautiful Labor Day weekend.

We're at 76 degrees at 9:00 am and on our way to a high of 92.  The weather guessers have dropped the predicted highs to the upper 60s all weekend.  Sweater weather for me!

cool temps mid 60's in the morning but highs in the 90's afternoons. Keeping a close watch on Earl it may affect our weather over the weekend. Anyone going to the beach (NC or SC) for the labor day weekend may have a rough vacation. They were saying that the Hatteras shoreline is under a hurricane advisory.

Enjoy your grandchildren (and your DD of course) Val.  They'll be heading south and we'll be heading North.  My DH and DS and their friends are riding the DALMAC from Thursday Morning until Sunday.  For those not in Michigan, the DALMAC is an approximately 300 mile bike ride from Lansing Michigan to Mackinac City done over a four day time period.  The ladies stay in a hotel for the weekend and shop and taste wine.  It's a lovely time!

The guys may run into some thunder storms on Thursday but I'm sure they'll find shelter and they'll appreciate the cooler temps as they're peddling away.

So much for the knocking around the house by myself, or the marathon BC.org.  The Rad Dept called and my onc has requested another test be done..yesterday.  Actually they wanted to see if I could come down this afternoon.  I was able to get them to push out until Friday.  I have to be there at 6:45 am!!!  Which means I leave here at 4am.  Meaning up to get ready at...well, that depends on how nice I want to look.  3:15 is about my guess.

I so wanted a day just to myself.  DH won't let me go there by myself, he hasn't comprehended that I did that regularly for 15 years before I met him.  So he will direct the day.  I love him dearly, but he likes to have everything lined out.  I told him we could be back in town before noon, and he could go back to work, but he said he'll just take the whole day off, too.  What would it have been like staying in my jammies until 10?

    Thanks, Val.

It just sort of popped my balloon.  Not only because of the loss of my free day, but because I thought they had ruled out issues in this area in April.  Now another follow up four months later!  The last twelve months have been a roller coaster ride.  I found BC.org because I had to have a VASCNB in September and had no idea what it was, Dh found this place to help me.

I went through Mammos, MRis and the VASCNB in Sept.  Surgery in Nov.  Onc visit and more tests and scans in February.  More tests in April.  Last week another CT and now one more visit.  I see my onc on the 16th,  I hope the next 12 months go smoother.

I am so sorry you have had to go through all of this Meece.  I hope the next 12 months go smoother for you too.  Can you tell me what a VASCNB is?  Again, you're in my prayers.

Vacuum Assisted Stereotactic Core Needle Biopsy.

    Thank you so much, Suz.

You know I like seeing my onc every six months, just in case, but this barrrage of tests can be trying.

GO IN YOUR JAMMIES!  Have DH take you shopping for something cute yet suitable for public viewing (no teddies and garters please) and WEAR YOUR JAMMIES!  Don't let BC take away your jammie day.
