HEY!  Did you all know there is a Chat Room we can go to?   One of the choices at the top of this page says "Chat Rooms".  If you go there and log in just like with the Discussion Boards, maybe we can have a live chat tonight.

Let's give it a try.  when you get the Chat Room, enter the one that says, "Staying Connected".  I'll be there.  I'll also check here in case you have trouble getting in.  Or does anyone know how to start a new room?

BarbAnne, Holly and I had a great time chatting!  So sorry more of you couldn't join us.  And I'm pretty sure BarbAnne finished off the whole case of wine by herself.  I know I ate way more chocolate cheesecake than I should have.  And I can't even tell you how many brownies Holly ate... missed the rest of you!

Oh - and we even tried surfing and all did really well...

Just in case I'm the only one not on the chat line....this last year has been a wild ride.  But, getting all misty, thanks to my sisters I made it through with confidence!  So many times I wondered if I'd die, or whether I'd be normal again, or if I'd ever laugh & feel like I wanted to live!!!  The answer was yes, yes, yes, (except to the would I die part!!!).  I can't believe this day has come...well, I guess it came and went!  So, since I can't get into the chat room, and you're probably all over there, just want you to feel the love & hugs....you're my forever sisters and I love you with all my heart.

RONNIEKAY - Guess what!  You were right... it was last night at 8:30 pm.  ooops.  I think all the talk about Neece and Australia time probably got you mixed up.  So....

no we're not currently chatting though I'd like to try that again!

yes, there are a few brownies left.... help yourself!

I loved that massage... and I'm already down at the beach... see you there!

I also had trouble with the chat at first, but then found you don't need to move the cursor --- you just need to start typing.

Went to onc today and he said everything seems good. Heading down to the beach tonight and will raise a class of wine to all of you wonderful women.

So sorry I missed the reunion chat. It was work time here for me so just not able tojoin in. But, I wanted to echo RonnieKay's sentiments.... I have sung the praises of bc.org loud and long to anyone who will listen - it has been an absolute lifeline to sanity for me this past year. My SOS sisters are the best. Thank you one and all, dear ones, for sharing the journey together.

I was so encouraged to read Msphil's post - 1 16year survivor! that is so inspiring. I really hope that in 16 years we will all be able to log on to bc.org and say the smae thing and that we have all, somehow, kept in touch - even just a little bit.

So, I hope the brownies and the wine were delicious and Happy anniversary to the Septmember 2009 gals!!!!Kiss

Hi ladies.  I'm sorry I too missed the reunion.   I don't have another vacation planned for a while, so if we reschedule a reunion of the reunion...I'm in!

VickiLynn - The image of 13 flower girls made me smile.  I went to the wedding of a young friend who had 5 little flower girls.   They were the highlight of the ceremony.   Four walked down the aisle dutifully dropping flower petals...the fifth and littlest one followed behind picking them up.  LOL

China - Sorry to hear of your un-communicative teenager.   I've had more experience with that than I could ever want.   I have a suggestion.  Shall I PM you?

Hello SOSisters....glad to see that I wasn't the only one who missed the reunion.  I was so disappointed, sure hope you will schedule another one.  I went for my ecko on Thurs. am, definitely have an irregular heartbeat, waiting to find out what we will be doing about that.  The onc put me on 6 more weeks of the Famera vacation to see if joints, bones, heels, hands will get better.  My joints are improving, heels somewhat better, hands about the same.

Vickilynn - so glad that you found the chat room.  Sure hope that we can try again.  How many of our sisters joined?  How was the food, did the wine flow freely?  How was the music?

MsPhil - how inspiring for the rest of us.  Here we are celebrating 1 year and you are on #16.  Thanks so much for sharing!

MaryNY - I can't remember last time you posted.  How are you doing?  Things going well for you?

RonnieKay - I'm sorry you to missed the reunion.  Sounds like you had a nice time the next morning though.  Glad you took advantage of the spa, sounds heavenly!

Catherine - you sound like you are one of our busiest sisters.  Enjoy your children, they grow up and are gone all too soon.

BarbAnne - is it true you finished off all the wine?

Neece - sorry you had to work through the reunion.  Prehaps Vickilynn will take pity on us who missed and schedule another one.

Patty - loved the flower girl story.  How was your vacation?

    Pamelajo - where are you?

All the rest of our sisters, know we miss you and hope you will post soon and let us know how you are doing.

So sisters, even though I missed the reunion I hope you all know how very much you each mean to me.  I would not, could not have gotten through this past year without each and everyone of you.  It is amazing how much we have shared this past year.  I just want to echo the same sentiments as Neece that I hope we will all be celebrating 16 years from now on this very same website keeping up with each other.  You are my sisters I never had and I couldn't have asked for a better group of ladies to share this journey.  I love you all!

Don't ya think SOS is better than any book you could read? Smile  Such a busy bunch of gals!  Oh PAMELAJO...I can't believe you had a bike wreck. I agree...couch surfing is as active as you should be!  As I'm reading, I was hoping your chest was protected!  LOVE that your concern was hair coming off with the tape!  I can just see you poppin' up saying you're perfectly fine!  Do you know what made you wreck?  When you get your new bike, I suggest staying out of PATTY'S way :)

PATTY: This is nutty, but when you said you ran into the stucco wall, I missed my Poway stucco house, then I missed sunshine and the beach, then I got depressed....then I cracked up when you said 1 out of 10 people are artificially happy!  I did the prozac thing when my last child went to college (I was depressed because I thought my job as mom was done....hot tip...it's never done!).  It was awesome...lost 29 lbs., exercised all the time, was amazingly up, up, up!  Guess I was one of those 1 in 10 :)  SO....thinking of the things we went through raising our kids, I'm amazed at what raising children in this day and age entails (I saw it all as high school secretary!) and I offer you my praises & condolences!   Good luck, CHINA...hang in there...it's so difficult to see your child sad (although they'd never admit it!), which as PATTY said...makes you sad.  Some day, like when he's in his late 20s, he'll share what he was feeling...that's my voice of experience. WOW..when your kids let loose on all the teenage angst they lived thru, it's a real OMG moment for a parent!

OH PATTY:  Do you watch Ellen?  I'll bet the people planning the fundraiser do!  She has people (mostly people going through difficult financial times) dive, dig, etc., for money on her show. It seems a bit demeaning even on her show.  I hope you're able to voice your concern, and show them a better way to honor someone going through a difficult time.  I love the idea of putting baskets together!  I'm anxious to hear what they say when they find out you're a survivor!

VICKILYN:  Another flower girl story:  At our son's wedding by the Snoqualmie River...they ONLY had flower girls, no other attendants.  They were having 8 flower girls and since Michael's had the baskets on sale, I got all they had....9.  Sure enough, one little BOY wanted to be a flower girl!  It was really pretty cute (although his dad was a bit embarrassed!).  Hope your soon-to-be DIL shower is fantastic. Can't beat the Dollar Store for decorations!  We're having a baby shower, carnival theme, for our daughter.  My other daughter is a wedding planner & puts on great parties so it'll be fun.

JANE: I'm jumping for joy over your daughter's results...and continue to keep your DH in my prayers!  I'm excited that your last herceptin is coming up!  It's soooooo liberating!  I know you're keeping your port for a while but I have to say, that was really my big yahoo!  I think I was overly sensitive to it...it didn't hurt, it was just always there!  There seems to be a bunch of scar tissue around it but I'm sure that'll even out.  Waiting to hear whether they put you back on femara.  Maybe, wishing, hoping that the awful ses will subside!

I sent a message to bc.org about not being able to enter the chat room. They sent a reply so I'll have to get it figured out before our reunion of the reunion :)

    Has anyone heard from Melinda?

Gotta go...got the "dinner's ready" call....

    LOVE YOU!

YAHOO CHINABLUE!!!  These are the days to celebrate!  Each step that takes us closer to bc being a distant memory is a giant step!  I can feel your relief :)

VICKILYNN DEAR!  You posted 3 hours ago...means you're up late too!  Grandson Hank is spending his first night w/Gma and Gpa.  Mama and Daddy went to a movie and fancy dinner for their 6th anniversary & since baby # 2 is due in 1 month, this is a training maneuver for more nights to come :)  I went to bed w/him @ 9:00...so I'm up and at 'em and it's 2:30 a.m.!  Oh how I miss sleeping through the night!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

    Hello SOS sisters....

I was in Chicago for a week visiting my parents.  My dad is 88 with advanced Parkinsons.  It was great seeing them but also very difficult.  Wish I could be there to help them out.

Had my exchange surgery last Tuesday and am very pleased with the way it turned out.  Did a reduction and lift on the left and implant on the right.  It is nice to be balanced again.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

BarbT  - so glad you made it to see your parents and I'm sure they appreciated the visit too.  So sorry your dad is so ill.   Great news on your surgery and BALANCE!

RonnieK - grandkids are great but they are exhausting!  Is # 2 a girl or boy or do they know?

Jane - Only 3 of us made the chat reunion - but we had a great time.  Hope we can schedule another one.

Like so many of you said, this "room" has been a lifeline this past year.  I appreciate you all so much - and the sharing of our hearts and our heartaches.  Someday maybe we won't need to do our virtual hugs.

Hello SOSisters....Monday in NC and I'm pooped!  I am going to leave the next reunion date and time to y'all and will do my very very best to be in attendance.  Sounds like several of us missed.

RonnieKay - I love your posts.  Yes, I'm excited about having my last Herceptin next week.  DH has one more procedure that morning and then my Herceptin in afternoon.  It will be bittersweet to say goodbye to everyone, but I get to go back for checkups and to get my port flushed.  Have to see onc about the Famera on 9/30.  My fingers are better, wrists still hurt, heels are somewhat better.  Hot flashes are a B, they haven't gotten any better at all.  So glad you are rid of the port, I know exactly what you mean about it being there.

ChinaBlue - congratulations on your excellent news.  Know you were so relieved!

BarbAnne41 - how the hot flashes going?  Have you tried the Effexor?  Let me know how you make out.  As Pamelajo would say my tropical summers seem to be getting more frequent.

Barbt0323 - It's great that you got to spend time with your parents.  So tough to watch them age. Glad you are pleased with your exchange surgery.  Do you feel like this BC journey is about over?

Missing a lot of our sisters.  Know you are busy but please post so we know you are okay!  Everyone take care.  Thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Jane
