How do you learn to treat yourself well
Its been almost 2 years I am out. I was the type who gave everything to my family and friends.
I realized that maybe life could be short and I have to start thinking about " ME ".
My daughters are all my energy, all my love, all my drive to do whatever I need to do. Slowly i started to do thinks for myself, since both my girls are old enough to organize themselves.
My oldest is moving to europe and my youngest starting school soon with afternoon work.
I will be during the day mostly alone, since my sweetest hubby comes late from work.
However, I need to learn to treat myself better, to find a passion. My life cannot only be turning around surviving strategies like exercise or healthy cooking.
What do you girls do....???

I love your pic-it's so cute. Well I love to exercise so I do that quite a bit and I work at my business which really helps. This morning I woke up and BC was NOT the first thing I thought of-work was... That was a great feeling.

OK, so what did you like to do pre-kids? There are loads of options. If you liked music, dance, or art, I'm sure you can find classes and get back into that. Does work interest you? Volunteering? Studying something new?
What's wonderful is that the world is open to you.

Mamita....I work part-time..on the days I don't work I try to walk in the mornings....sometimes with gf or meet them for coffee....I volunteer for Komen...bake cookies....putter in the house, waste time....come here....the busier I am the happier I am.....

I became a runner about 6 months after being diagnosed. Now I run on average 20 miles a week. I also love photography so I snap, snap, snap pictures of my kids mostly but of other things too!!

I agree on the music part - it lifts the soul! I dance around the house with my iPod playing my favorite music. I love my morning walks and always look forward to it. The sunset, a nice bit of rain, the wind blowing the leaves of the tree, my dog who was and is constantly by my side, a good book! A GREAT meal out or In and cooked by myself, something I really love. Oh, and we musn't forget a good quality piece of Chocolate! A long soak in the tub! A cool swim.......
These are some of the things I make sure I enjoy as they bring joy! Little things and big things. Things that bring comfort to you.
