Thanks Jenn, I don't have any of those stores nearby but I think my local store carries Barbara's cereal. I'll check it out.
-
I just had my snack, fresh blueberries! Yummy, but now I wonder if my teeth are blue.
-
I can't insert a link but copy and paste this for a giggle or a little motivation.

Hoot Hoot!! 161 This AM after breakfast. With all the vacationing and visiting with friends I maintained and that's all I was hoping for
Wishing everyone else good results today and a healthy ELaB weekend.\

still the same
this is next week:
-
Question... how often are you all doing the weigh ins???
Jennifer
-
I'm sorry I haven't been checking in over the past few weeks - I've been a little preoccupied. However, Meece, I would be delighted if you could write me up at 148 lbs.
It has been a year since I started to tackle my weight 'problem' and I have managed to lose 86 lbs in the year - I'm rather pleased with that and have managed to go from what was classed as obese (morbidly) to what is now considered a 'healthy' range.
Thanks for the support over the past few months and hopefully we'll all keep whittling away at those pounds for another while!!
-
Ainm.....86 pounds in one year is totally amazing. What kind of routine did you follow? Are you taking an AI?
-
Jenn, we weigh in every Friday morning if possible.
-
Whoohoo! Pauling congrats at being back down to your lowest, I made it there myself! And I had to weigh in after work! It feels good to at least be at my low for this E-lab project. I changed my picture to prove it, but maybe I'd better reward myself with a fresh pedi!
-
Ainm, congratulations! You are doing so well! Keep up the good work.
-
Congrats to all you wonderful ladies that are losing! Valjean and Sheila I am with ya'll Nothing lost here... I am so swollen (edema in the legs, not a new problem) I'm up 2 lbs 150.
Oh well, Maybe this next week I can
do like Valjean. I'lll be getting ready for my vacation so I hope so. They I'll allow myself to semi take a very well deserved week off of this diet for my vacation. There is no way I am dieting while on vacation. I will do all things in moderation. However, if I want a steak or lobster and baked potatoe I would like to order one.
Counting the days down... we leave a week from tomorrow morning! Woo Hoo!!!!
Have a great weekend ladies. Oh yeah, my mom did well with her foot surgery!

Congrats, Meecie, on getting back to your lowest posted! I know you've been working your arss off to get there! (I would say to a BFF, "Maybe that is where it came from!"- Please take no offense. Luv ya!)
Lisa ~ Congrats on maintaining! That is work, in & of itself, isn't it?
Ainm ~ You should be very proud of yourself, you have worked so hard. Congrats & very nice to 'see' you!
Sister Renee ~ You very much deserve to take a week off from this E-LAB project & enjoy yourself on vacation. We will be the little bird on your shoulder to help you keep things in moderation, if you so need us.

I still got to work harder to get my arse off. It's pretty substantial. I had a very bad and stressful week at work, and I think I ate my way to forget tonight. three small slices of tri-tip and some chili, but I made a wonderful zuccni dish by slicing them lengthwise and scooping out the center. I made a filling of breadcrumbs, peppers, onions and cheese and baked them. Yummy. Not sure how good for me but definitely comfort food.
-
Paulding, I loved the video. Looks better coming from Anite Renfroe then a skinny girl like Carrie Underwood. More believable at least.

had a wonderful thing happen this morning. I went to the closet trying to decide what to wear. I looked at a pair of pants I haven't worn is nearly a year, and thougth I would try them on. I not only could get them on and buttoned, but they did not pull and make smiles or frowns! I wore them and was comfortable the whole time, even down on the floor playing with babies. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
-
Oh, Meecie, that is wonderful! ♥
I have spent the past 30 mins. trying to post a pic for you & I can't get it. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Oh, well, will work on that another day.
Anyway, that is so cool. You rock !!!!
You inspire me to get back on track.
Off to bed, Doctor appt in the morning.

Thank you! Here's hoping that everything goes smoothly for you at your appointment today, Valjean.
-
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeioioioio!!!
That's what this long term, diligence is all about.
I was down to my 142.4 (nearly my ELAB low) and then we went to Texas.... I have yet to figure out how to eat on the road and maintain??
In any case, we're home now for an entire week -- so here's to a good report on Friday. My clothes are fitting happier & happier too, thanks for the support & prompts, fellow birdies.
Thats what it's all about!
Here's a Lake Michigan sand castle from the weekend, to bring you a smile:
-
Meece,
Have you been doing what I suggested on your diet?
Jenn
-
It's been so stinkin hot here. To hot to exercise and with the work the chiropractors done on me don't know that I can do the treadmill just yet.
-
Yes, Jenn. I have, but I didn't write down my exact weekend intake. I worked in the greenhouse from 7 am to 4 pm, and just drank liquids and snacked on dried fruit throughout the day...I know really bad for my metab. but I knew if I stopped to have lunch, I would not get back outside. I have been trying to eat less, but more often. I hope I didn't screw things up by my eating behavior on Saturday. We had steak and zucchini boats for dinner. Probably too much red meat, but plenty of vegies. by writing everything down, I realize that the more time there is to cook, the richer the foods I make. The less time, the more basic the food is.
-
Meece... and everyone else! I finally did it (I'm not quite sure what happened or how) but I got below the 148 (I had acutally went up to 150 again) and I'm at 145 lbs!!! I am so excited even with the loss of my grandma (she passed away today) ... I was going to post this on Monday and didn't have the chance. Now to stay on the track and keep the weight loss going. I had to change my diet up. I got off the diet plan that the weight loss place had laid out for me. I changed what I was eating and it helped. I guess my body just got to use to the other foods. One key to weight loss I've learned is moderation. You can have your favorite foods occassionally, even chocolate cake, but you can't have it every day or even every week and moderation in the diet is the key to making it work and stay off. Woo HOO!!! I think I've got it?!!! Now if I can keep it going.
And get on that forsaken tread mill... that I paid and arm and a leg for. LOL!! That is my goal, I am going to tone up and get rid of some flab. hehehe~~
Renee
-
WhooHoo!!!! Congratulations, Mimi! I think that is the key, to not let your body know just how you are restricting it. Only two more days until weigh in and I am hoping to also break that 162 wall that I have run up against.
-
Mimi, I was so excited with your news, I forgot to add my condolences at the loss of your monther. I am deeply sorry for your loss. ((((((((((((((Mimi))))))))))))))
-
