-
Elizabeth - Hope things are going well with Bill. Wishing for the best.

I hope it was a success for everyone at the sugar bowl. Look forward to seeing and meeting everyone next month.
Update: Bill is coming home today. He did damage to his heart and passed a blood clot. The medication they gave him for blood clots was not working. So they are putting him on a new one. The procedure went well. His arteries are good at this time. We pray they will continue to do so. He is to rest and take it easy. They do not want him doing the yard especially in this heat. I appreciate everyone's thoughts .
Swiftbird wish you the best w/ your surgery
Kate hope you are feeling better
Sue hope you enjoyed your time w/ your family
Karen hope you are feeling better
Jill thank you so much for filling in. I appreciate it.

It ended up being just Jill and myself. She is great! We had a nice conversation and a very good lunch! I was very happy to meet someone else here in Phoenix! (Thanks again, Jill!) I have had a very difficult and long transition here from Minneapolis via Chicago! I look forward to meeting more AZ girls at the next get together. Elizabeth, I would be happy to host anytime!

Cindy- I hope I can make it to the next one so I can meet you and all the others, too!

Hi Ladies
I am sorry I missed the outing but glad there were two of you who connected. It was nice to get away in the cooler temps up north. Now I am back to work, 7 weeks and two surgeries later! I hope I make it to 5:30!! I have some breaks in the day to lie down which I think I am going to do now.
-
Hi speech, I would take up going up north anytime. I am glad that you enjoyed yourself. How did you do working? Did you make it through the day alright. Probably need to go to bed early if you can. Did you take your breaks? Take care of yourself. See you real soon.
Cindy I will take you up on hosting sometime. I know we do plan to have a bbq at Jill in the fall looking at probably September.

Hi Ladies
I had my first day back yesterday--it was a real boost for me. I made it through the day just fine--although there were plenty of breaks, which helped. Today will be a more packed day--I don't start until 10:30 but I go until 6 pm. I went to bed last night at 9:30 and slept until 7 so I am very rested. It's only been a month since my surgery so I am pacing myself and not expecting too much. I have a pillow & a mat at work if I need a rest. My boss/office is very understanding and helpful.
Hope to meet everyone sometime soon!

Karen (speech) Glad things are going well for you at work & you are getting the rest.
Today Channel 12 is sponsoring Susan G Komen & making a ad. I get to participate in it. Excited to be apart of it!
-
Will it be on the news? What time? I'll look for you!
-
I am not sure yet where it is going to be. I just know it is Channel 12. When I find out more I will let you know.
-
when & where is the August meeting?

Well after a lot of thinking & consulting with others I have come up with a Mexican Restuarant to go to in Apache Junction. It is during the week for Happy Hour. So it would be on a Tuesday or Friday. It is from 2 to 5pm. So I need to know which day you would prefer. I think Tuesday would be best for me because Friday will probably be packed. Thanks Karen for the idea.

Hi Ladies
I am working M-Th so I could only meet on a Friday. If it doesn't work out, I'll try for Sept!!
-
I hope I can finally make it and meet everyone! Either one works for me!
-
who is going to volunteer to be the DD????
Karen S
-
I live in Anchorage Alaska. Not much in the way of support here. I'll be in training in Phoenix the last week in Aug-first week in September. Any retreats or support groups there?
-
KinAZ- I've been on BCO way too long! When you said who's going to be the DD all I could think of was breast sizes, Double D, LOL!!! I definitely need to get out and drink if I've forgotten designated driver!!!
-
Kate...lol, that is soooo true. Only reason I didnt think of bra size first is the young men in the house....i am always asking who the dd is???? too funny
-
Okay so there is a change in the plans. I misunderstood what Karen had told me. It is Dos Gringos in Chandler. Alma School & Warner. Monday thru Friday is there happy hour. From 4pm to 7pm. I hope that will work out better for some of you. They have big screen TV's, bag games, photo booth and the city's smallest dance floor,

I hope that this is okay with everyone. If you would like to have a DD (designated driver) I recommend bring your husband, friend, along for the fun.
Reply and let me know if you are coming and whether or not you will be bringing a guest and I will see if I can reserve a table for all of us. Again I apologize!

I don't know of any support groups, but I am sure there are some here. Maybe GOOGLE it....
-
There is a wonderful group I attend here from Tucson called Bosom Buddies. Once a month on Saturday's at the Chandler Regional Hospital, the meeting is across the ER parking lot in the rehab building. The woman who runs the group is Cele, I'll keep you all posted for the next one.
-
Just a friendly reminder that Dos Gringos is tomorrow night. Yeah!! Happy hour here we come. Looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it and missing those who cannot.

ebann, I'm going to try to make it... again....
How should we find the group?? (sorry if that's a stupid question if it's a tiny place and it's obvious, but I've learned the hard way to ask...)
-
