More Tests Tomorrow
Hi Ladies,
So the abdominal pain I've been having for the last couple months has not subsided (had a clear ab CT a couple weeks ago) and I saw a gastro doc and am scheduled for an endoscopy/colonoscopy tomorrow. My right shoulder/collar bone area has been very painful for a few weeks now, which my rads onc seems to think is deconditioning (I used to work out a lot) of the rotator cuff area and suggested to do specific exercises for that area. I've been trying the last few days, but it doesn't feel like the "normal" muscle type ache.
Once again I am left questioning every new ache and pain in my body and just praying none of this is cancer related. It's so frustrating. Just when I think I can get on with my life a new pain pops up. They affect my sleep, so then I don't want get up in the morning, and of course then I don't work out. It's just a viscious cycle. I just want to feel "normal" again. I know at my age (48) some aches and pains are normal, but these are not age type pains, so I am once again fighting that urge to get freaked out.
Anyhow, still waiting for the prep cleanse to kick in (oh joy) and will keep you all posted once I know more.
Take care all,
Sharon

Sharon, best of luck with your tests. I'm so sorry you're going through all of this, and I hope everything is OK - that you find out what's causing it & that it's not something serious.
All the best.

those 'prep cleanse's are awesome
(i'm having 4 tests done in the next couple days. hoping for the best for you.
-
Thanks girls. Apple, thinking of you too over the next couple days too.
-
Sharon - will be thinking of you. Hope you get some answers.
-
Sharon - I'm sorry you're still having trouble and I hope that they can give you some answers after these tests.
Isn't the prep fun?????
-
Sharon - did the prep thing last Thursday, then colonoscopy on Friday. The prep is far worse than the event. Never knew anything about it. Perhaps that test is done now? Good luck with the others.

Wishing you only good news!

Sharon....Hope your colonoscopy results are clear and you won't have to do the cleanse for another 10 years. I, too, can't seem to get beyond abdominal issues and know how they wear you down. My appendix ruptured in February and I've been hospitalized 3 times since with severe abscesses. I can only have the appendix surgery when the infections clear. I had a diagnostic colonoscopy in May to rule out other conditions/metastises with good results.....sending positive thoughts your way.

Could it be your gallbladder??? When my daughter had trouble with hers (we never even thought of the gallbladder) her pain was abdominal and in the shoulder area as well. Best of luck to you. Keep us posted.

Hi ladies,
The procedures both went without event and the doc said he definitely saw some irratation in the stomach, possibly from the daily aspirin I've been taking. I didn't think anything of it when I bought it and didn't get the coated kind which I'll do now. And during the colonoscoly he found one small polyp but said he did not see any signs of cancer---PHEW! Still in physical discomfort, but mentally I am feeling better.
Thanks again for all your support. I appreciate each and every one of you being here for me!
