Any Baltimore Ladies?

Good afternoon MRDRN and Lonib07 - You are both in the best place and in the best hands in the world. Of course, I could be slightly biased, but I believe that statement.
I look forward to meeting you both!
-
Hey Ladies,
Yeah, I WAS tired that night, and the torrential rains didn't help. BUT it was so nice to sit down and chat with everyone! And yes, show & tell is very therapeutic and affirming, and I highly recommend it to anyone! LOL!!!
I've got my DIEP Flap coming up in August, and seeing everyone else's results is just fascinating!
Those of you joining the Mercy Family, welcome aboard! There is no better place to heal!
Alaina
-
...and I was just thrilled to find out that they give you your belly-button back!...And it looks GOOD!
:-)
-
Alaina~ So in other words you are going to be leading the show N" Tell's after August .....lol.... After the first week you are going to be so happy that you had your surgery.
Kim~ I wish I could meet up with you this weekend but I have my babies birthday party to get ready for
I am going to be there in June
-
I can't do the June meet-up because I'll be in St. Louis for the clinical trial. *kicking St. Lous*
Arrrgghhhh!
-
Three weeks from tomorrow and I will be in the O.R. I am now getting excited to think about my flatter bely!

E~ Sorry you are not going to be there in June
-
Good morning - getting ready to head out to Channel 13 to tape a segment for the Red Devils that will air at the un-godly hour of 6:30am on Sunday!
Wig on, eyelashes glued on and make up in place - I feel like I am wearing a Halloween costume, but nevertheless, I am proud to talk on behalf of the Red Devils and to promote our BCBofMD - or as we are clearly now known - Gecko Girls Gone Wild!
Have a great day - laugh lots! Cheers
-
That is so cool! I might even roll over in bed early Sunday to see the segment! LOL!!!
-
I'm not!!! Thank goodness for dvr - I gotta tell ya tho, they say the camera adds 10 lbs but I kept looking at myself and not liking what I was seeing.......clearly judging by the size of my butt, gravity and french fries are not my friends!!!!
How are you doing Alaina???
-
Me too, Jamie!
1bmore - can we make the next one NOT July 5 or 6, or the week of the 18th if at all possible? I'd love to see you guys again and show off (???) my new chemo 'do.
Hey, is your segment available online anywhere?
E
-
Hey Kim! Of course, I was fast asleep when the segment aired. Totally forgot.
I'll look for it online.
I'm doing well! Had a great weekend!
How about you?
-
Okay for July we gotta try and get E back with us
.
Kim sorry that I missed your piece on the Red Devils. If you find it on-line post a link so we can see.
I can't wait to see everyone on the June 5th and of course enjoy some of Geicko's food. I hope this time I do not make a pig of myself with their salsa and chips...lol....
-
Good morning everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Is anyone joining me this Saturday at Geckos?
-

Good morning - I have a question: last night, I started to get sharp pangs in my breast -
they did not last long but were frequent. It did not disturb my sleep but it has started again -
any thoughts?
-
I know that the nerves start to regenerate after surgery and then again after radiation. (But I don't think you've had radiation, right?) That may be what is happening. Perhaps post this on a site with more members so you get more feedback. DO NOT WORRY - I am almost sure this is normal and I have read about it before. Just can't be specific enough to reassure you. I'm sure someone else will know.
-
I too think it is the nerves regenerating. I have experienced pains on both my reconstructed side and reduced side - more so recently and I am a year out -
-
Thank you both so much...I am not one to panic but I would be lying if I said I was not concerned. I begin the lymphodema massage therapy tomorrow so maybe that will help and if I still have the pangs of pain, I am going to see if I can talk to my dr. Kinda stinks tho - I am walking around my house holding my boob......clearly I have issues.
-
Hey Kim! I'm gonna be at Mercy tomorrow, 930am for Dr. R. and 11am for Heidi up in RT. Let's try to connect. You have my celly, right? Send me a message here if you don't.
Alaina
-
Hey Alaina - I too am going to be at mercy - i have a 1:00 w/ Maureen - I could get there around noonish if you would like to meet for lunch? I do have your cell and will send you mine shortly.
-
Is anyone going to the Red Devils Heart and Sole Stroll in Columbia on Sunday morning and if so, could I get a ride?
-
we are going but very early 715 am to volunteer.
ray
-
Kim~ I think that it is also nerves...they have been driving me looney..
-
Long time no talk my fabulous friends - is anyone joining me on Saturday for lunch?
Check the details out on our facebook page and let me know......
Hope everyone is doing fine and that we can all get together on Saturday.
Time: 12:00
Place: Portside Tavern - 2821 O'Donnell Street
-
I will be late tomorrow. I have a class in Rockville from 10am - 1pm. I'll call before I head back up there and make sure someone is still there! I'm hoping I can get there @ 2pm.
