Any Baltimore Ladies?
Hi - I have gone back through all the posts to see if there is anyone from Baltimore, but did not see a get together.
Any women from Baltimore here?

Hi - I live in Severn, Maryland and was also wondering if there are
any Maryland groups. I would love to go to one....
-
I'm from Glen Burnie, so neighbors with you cancersuks! I'd love to have a get-together some time.

Hi Enjoyful!
Yes, we are neighbors!
I would love to have a get together too. I know I saw
a couple of other Maryland gals on here too. I'm open to anything...even if
I have to drive a little ways to meet.
-
I'm in southern MD but my parents live in Crofton and we are up that way quite a bit. I'd love a GTG!
-
well I think we should do it!!!!! Yeah!
I just finished my last chemo 2 days ago and had my Neulasta shot this morning so I am open.
How would folks feel about coming up to Baltimore for a Girls Nite Out, or lunch.....
I dont know if there is a protocol for organizing something like this, but would be happy to float out my personal contact info and see where we go.....Kimberly

Hey 1bmore - I just finished my last chemo on Monday.
Girls Nite Out or lunch sound sound fantastic! Should we set a date and place?
-
I think we should - There are several other women up here in Baltimore that I know would love to be a part of this and are so incredibly supportive and funny and warm that I would like to at least extend an invitation - I think that for everyone who has posted to this thread so far, if you can weigh in and let me know if a GNO or lunch works best I can work on finding a location etc up here if everyone wouldn't mind coming up to the City - I will keep it very reasonable and very accessible. I would throw out a possible date of the week of 2/15 - if that works for everyone. Also, I have no problem exchanging my personal contact information with anyone on this thread and would also like to make sure that if anyone knows of someone in their circle that would like to be invited, then please feel free - the more the merrier!!!! Kimberly
-
Good morning cancersuks - I hope that you have had a chance to read my post this morning and would love it if you were interested and if so, can help find some of the other Maryland women that you have seen on some of these threads - Hope to meet you! Kimberly
-
The week of 2/15 works for me. I have yoga night on 2/16 but everything else is clear.
-
Hi Kimberly and MD Gals,
The week of the 15th works; I do have my zometa infusion at noon on the 17th. but otherwise, the week is open and I look forward to meeting everyone!
-
Good morning everyone! I am thrilled that we are going to do this - I would like to propose the evening of the 15th (I have not heard any conflicts with that night) - a Girls Nite Out - I will offer to find a location here in the City (Canton - that way no downtown traffic) that is easily accessible to major roads for those that don't live in the city and that is reasonable in cost. I am home today feeling the bone pain and fatigue so it is a great diversion for me today - and will float out some ideas later today.
If you know of anyone else whether on this thread or in your support network or where you get your treatments, I would like to make sure they are included if you would like to invite. I figure the more the merrier!
-
Hey bmore -
I'm not overly familiar with Baltimore. Is Hampden anywhere near Canton? I was thinking Cafe Hon might be fun. :-)
-
It is close, but in the evenings can be very difficult to navigate with parking and if folks arent familiar with the side streets, it can be kinda daunting. It would be great for a Saturday brunch meet up in the Spring cuz it is a cool neighborhood.
-
Okay. I vote for easy navigation, then! :-)
-
Hi again, - I thought about this place: Hudson Street Stackhouse - they are located at 2626 Hudson Street 21224- they have a website: www.hudsonstreetstackhouse.com.
They just told me that Monday nights are good nights for groups and on the 15th, there is no other group there. They also have their menu on line to view and their prices seem reasonable. It also would be casual yet give us space and some quiet to talk and laugh. The man I spoke to, Dominic, was great and said that he would work with us as I did not know how many people etc. We still have time - I just wanted to kind of get a date and time and place that folks could work with and hopefully attend. Hope I did not overstep -
They are easy to get to from either direction of 95, from inside the city, county etc -
This all said, I am open if someone else has a recommendation.

That place looks great! It has NHL Center Ice, which is a huge plus for me. :-)
Thanks so much for putting this together. I owe you a beer!

Hi girls - I am from Harford County - I will read the posts to catch up on the latest news. I would love to meet up with you girls. Chat soon

Enjoyful~ I am right next to you in Pasadena
I am 1.5 miles from Glen Burnie. I need to check with my DH but I think the 15th would work great with me.
-
Hi there, Jamie! You, cancersuks and I are all pretty close. I bet we all shop at the same Target. :-)
Kathy - hope you can make it!

I am thrilled that this is going well!!!!! Let's pass the word on to others and I am looking forward to meeting everyone on the 15th!!!!
Should probably start a count of folks coming so that Hudsons can expect us - I am more than willing to send everyone my contact information and serve as the count person for our first outing - I just need folks to tell me if that is okay and if there is a way that it should be done.....
-
I am from Elkton at the very top of Cecil County. Could I come, too? Irishmom - would you maybe want to meet up and carpool? I'd be glad to drive (and I have GPS) but I'd love to not have to drive all the way back alone when it is late. PM me, if so.
HOW EXCITING!
-
Absolutely - the more the merrier - tell everyone!!!!
I think this is terrific!
By the way, what does PM me mean? sorry if that is a dumb question, I am still new to all of this -
-
PM means send a Private Mesasge. It is a way to write more personal or individual info so that everyone doesn't have to read it. If you click on the person's name, you will get a screen with their individual info and at the top right corner, it will say "Send A Private Message" and you click it and you will get a screen to write in.
Also, on the top of YOUR screen, in the menu bar right under the BCO logo, the far right tab is 'private messages' - if you have one, it will say "1 NEW" in that bar and you click and can read it.
Let me know if you still have questions on that or if it is not clear.

The 15th works for me! What time? That is a federal holiday, so I'm free all day! YAHOO!!!
I've never been to the Stackhouse, and I'm always looking for new places to eat! How is parking?
Either way I'm there!!! I can't wait to meet you ladies!
Alaina
PS ~ Thanks Amy for tipping me to this! I'm doing ok...January was a tough month for me, but now it's February and it's almost better...I'll PM you more later...
-
What time are you guys thinking? I too have the whole day off since it's a holiday. I would be driving a little over 90 minutes each way.
enjoyful/E - I love hockey, are you a Caps fan?
-
Good morning ladies - I am sorry that I was off this board yesterday, but was unaware that you can only post 5 times in a 24 hour period. Yikes! That said, my personal email is 1bmoregal@gmail.com and my name is Kimberly.
As for the time, I completely forgot that the 15th is a holiday. YEAH! So we could start earlier - say 4:00 - which hopefully would help folks who are driving a distance and also those that do have to work would still be able to come - I just need to know what folks want to do so that I can let Hudson's know and also so that once we decide we can pass on the information/invitation to others who might like to join us.
How does everyone feel about this? Have a great day ladies!
-
Hi! The 15th works for me as well.... I posted yesterday and don't see my
message
Look foward to meeting everyone....
-
Nikki - Huge Caps fan here! My sister and I have season tickets and next week we're traveling to Montreal and St. Louis to watch them play. Crazy, right? Do you get to many games?
Kimberly - Any time on the 15th works for me!
Look forward to meeting everyone, too!
E
-
Okay ladies - let's do it and send out our invites to others we know to join us!
GIRLS NITE OUT! The more the merrier -
Monday, February 15th - 4:00pm until whenever!
Hudson Street Stackhouse
2626 Hudson Street
Baltimore 21224 (Canton neighborhood)
www.hudsonstreetstackhouse.com (if folks want to view the menu)
The only thing I would suggest is that if people are coming that they let me know so that I can keep Hudsons up to date re our numbers. Please feel free to promote to anyone you know and they can contact me directly either through this board or my personal email for information, to confirm etc.
I am so looking forward to seeing everyone on the 15th!
-
OMG I am so excited. Count me IN!
