Hi Friends. I have missed you. My left wrist has swelled up so I am come to BCO for some advice. I figured I better stop here and say hi to my favorite Lunch Bunch. I will try to get to another lunch soon. I can't image I would have LE almost 4 years out but you the gift that keeps on giving.
-
Hello all---Brenda----why just your left wrist----have you called your doc? Dumb questions i know but it does seem strange...
Jeanne--was that beautiful you jumping on an elevator today in the XIMED building in a turquoise shirt....??? If not it was your twin and I was waving frantically from the hallway---don't remember what floor #...
Sylvia

No it wasn't me. I was lying low at home all day. But I do love turquoise!
Can you make brunch on May 22nd? Hugs.
-
It is only my left wrist that stays indented when you press on it and it is only the inside of the wrist. I did make an app with pcp but my onc never called me back yesterday. I wasn't sure who to call. I will see pcp on Tues morning.
My neighbor's are sitting at home with hospice right now waiting for the husband to die from colon cancer that spread before they found it. They have been waiting for 5 days. It is just awlful. He is only 54. I hate cancer.
-
yup - hate cancer. Yet this week I heard from an 80 year old cousin that after her latest bout of cancer (she's had several before - all different) she is now NED. You just never know.
Miss you guys & want lunch.

Hi all, I am finally home..
the 22nd is my DH's birthday, so I hope I can make it..
any ideas where it will be? Is something going on at the fair grounds ?, travelling up and
down I-5 would be a challenge..
-
Welcome back Liz Just a thought - why don't we meet somewhere where near Lisa in case she can join us and won't have to travel very far. I'm not too familiar with that area. Anything in Kensington or North Park?
Jeanne
-
How about Chili's , it is really close to Lisa's and I can pick her up if she needs it...I have to go to my granddaughter's birthday party right afterwards...
it is at 4252 Camino del Rio north
san diego 92108..directions at chilis.com
-
I would love to join! What time? I look forward to meeting all of the San Diego Pink Peeps!
-
OK, let's take Jeanne's suggestion for May 22nd how about 1200, noon?
All are welcome and we will be so happy to meet you...
-
Which Chilis?
-
the one on Camino del Rio North...I think we ate there once before
when Lisa wanted a restaurant close by her...
-
Great! Thank you, I will plan on being there!
-
Hi dear sisters, and a HUGE welcome to Arubajan, and also a "Welcome Home" to our dear Liz, and Dang it, Brenda, what are we going to do with you? I hope you get an easy answer. And Brahna, we are LOVING the Dinner Studio, love everything and can't thank you enough for telling me about it, anyone who hasn't tried it, you should.
This Chili's is off Murphy Canyon Road? I think.
Hugs and kisses, Shirlann
-
not quite.
it is the one near the corners of Fairmount (as it comes down the hill from right near my house - for those of you that have been here), Cam.del Rio N., and Mission Gorge. It is a left turn under the freeway, there is a Body Beautiful car wash at the near end, and you'll see the Chili's sign.
If you follow the traffic and get to the HomeDepot, turn around. If you follow the traffic the other way and you see Kaiser Zion looming on the rise, turn way around.

Hi friends. I can't make it this week-end but I hope you all have a fantastic time. I am committed to a bunch of boys for Air Soft wars at my house again.
-
Okay, so how many are we? Lisa, do you need a ride? 12:00????
-
Well, I thought I'd be there with all of you until I realized that you're meeting on Saturday. I'm driving up to Moreno Valley on Saturday.
Sorry that I've been out of touch with everyone. So much has happened in the last couple of months. But first I have to brag a little bit. Hope you don't mind if I'm a bit wordy.
I've been doing a bit of walking since Casper, my poodle, came into my life. And I've started to take a fitness class at work. So Deborah, my eldest daughter, invited me to join her on a mother daughter team for a 5K walk the day before Mother's Day. Took a few minutes but I agreed. It was the Aflac Iron Girl in Del Mar. Then when my youngest daughter, Sarah, (I only have 2 girls) said that she was coming down from Riverside that Friday and staying overnight to celebrate with me on Saturday (she works Sun-Thur), I invited her to walk with us. So the three of us started together and the girls left me to go faster - but that was planned. And I FINISHED MY FIRST 5K in 54:47. Then the following Wednesday at work there was a 5K walk around the campus (6 laps) and I did that one in just over 55 minutes. To top it off, we took part in the Relay for Life on Saturday and I did 6+ miles there. I can't believe that I did that much walking the way my legs bother me. But seems that once I start walking, I work past the discomfort.
And to the reason for the Moreno Valley trip - Friday escrow closed on a house I bought for Sarah and her husband, Joe, to live in/rent while she's going to Vet School in Pomona and he's in grad school in Riverside.
I've been following everything thru my email but this is the first chance I've had to get on the forum. I will miss you all and miss meeting our newest member.
And Shirlann - I'm so glad you're enjoying your Dinner Studio meals. I can't live without them now.
-
I will be there

At least I think so. Jeanne is going to pick me up and then a friend is driving in from Lakeside to get me to the shower. I may have to cut out a few minutes early depending on when he/she arrives.
Susan, you wont get lost. Make sure you are in the left turn lane when you see the car wash.

We missed all who could not join us...

I had a fabulous time once again with my BCO buddies. I don't think I had smiled so much, giggled as readily - all week.
Thanks to you, dear Jeanne, for turning my day around by refusing to get flustered by my leave-taking, my Pugs (one in particular
), my scooter's unwillingness to get in the trunk, etc. You were truly unflappable.
Hail and well met to Arubajan - you're going to be a real asset to our little group. Sometimes we're not so little - you chose a good month to join us.
Lisa
-
ps - I think you've got the makings of a new avatar there, Brenda (Adnerb). HUBBA-HUBBA!
SoCal has the skillz to get the plates out of the picture. You don't want any distraction from glamour-puss YOU!

It was great to get together with everyone and convenient that is was a smaller group so we could all talk with one another (sort of - the noise in the restaurant was quite loud, even with one of my ears not working so well!) and get to meet arubajan. Welcome again Jan. Perhaps we could meet somewhere a little more intimate next time. Thanks as ever Liz for the posted picture. It's always nice to make sure we had a good time!!
-
Thanks all for coming to lunch. I know we all have our busy lives outside of this thread, but it really makes my day when I get to meet with some of you.
Lisa, as for the picture, I have to say I wholeheartedly agree with you. So if Liz would please send me a larger (in resolution) version of this photo, I think I'll be able to crop it myself. I don't have the skillz to make the plate go away yet, but I don't mind it that much.
Thanks, all.
Brenda
