Jancie, Tracey -- I just booked our room, so we are all set. Laura -- I told them to put us near your room. My palms are getting itchy!!!!
-
Oh crap FirstMate - Laura has the party animal rooms - you will never get any sleep if we are near her and her gang! Oh but I have drugs!
-
BTW - thanks Robin for booking the room for us! I really do appreciate it.
-
Jancie, I remember the day my hair was finally long enough for a ponytail. I posted it all over FB, I was so excited!!! I'll try to get DH to take a new pic for my avatar.
-
Hi sisters. I have not been part of your TA-TA group...but your trip to Vegas, sounds wonderful!!! I work for the airlines...so traveling from Ohio, is not a problem. Is there anymore room??
-
For sure my3girls....Just look at the top of the thread and see who still needs a roommate. Most want 4 people per room to save on expenses. I didn't go last year but I saw pictures & everyone had a great time. THis year promises to be more of the same and with more TaTas!!! Please PM folks that might need a roomie. And those of you that need a roomie, please contact my3girls!
BTW-Where are the pictures if we want to have another look at what we missed last year???

Hi gals, Just wanted to make a note that I have three of us but we have our own lodgings and would like to know what all is planned for the weekend. We canadian gals are traveling a long way and would just like to know how much we have to rest up before we get there.
Last year sounded like fun but was just starting chemo so knew it was out of the question - any info would be great - Saskie
-
Packer thanks for the link to the photos from last year (and KC) -- looks like so much fun! Laura -- I think there is still a little of that old Madonna look in your outfits
-
Saskie - the days and nights are filled with fun. Somehow you manage to get the energy to keep going and going and going. I finished radiation the morning that I flew to Vegas so let me tell you my body was beat up really bad. You sleep when you can and you party hard. Yes....rest up and be ready to stay up until all times in the morning!
-
Just as a reminder to anyone that is just reading this thread - you don't have to have TaTa's to come! No matter what kind of treatment you had - reconstruction or not - lumpectomy vs. masectomy - doesn't matter - EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO COME!!!
-
Packer-can you repost the link to the pics from last year? I can't seem to find it in the last several pages of posts!
TIA
Mona
-
Mona... the site is 100% private. Packer never posted it on this site... for our sake's... BUT.. PM her and she will give you the info to go check it out!
LILAH...NOW I have to go look at how I was dressed... MADONNA.... LOL LOL... I am like... so not the material girl anymore.. like seriously..
LADIES.. I will tell you:
This year.. SO SO MANY MORE LADIES are coming. While we are all flattered and happy so many want to come... it is going to be a little bit more of a challenge to gather us together. I can tell you FOR SURE... we will HAVE to have a LONGER meet and greet FRIDAY NIGHT.....
GISELLA will go to the piano bar while she is in Vegas in May to tell them about this much bigger group this year.. see what they have to say...
NAME TAGS will almost need to be worn all the time when we meet all together.. Name and Screenname...
Anyway... as we all know what is going to be planned.. IT WILL BE POSTED HERE FOR ALL TO SEE.
We will not be doing this until.... much later...
...
Just get the hotels/lodging.... and airfare booked... we will then be posting ideas and for sures in the summer. Gisella is going to get with me AFTER she goes to Vegas in May. Stephannie will be piping in.. ...
Somehow it will work out... a bigger group like this is going to take a little more... thought. : )
Hang tight..............Laura

Jancie -- the only way you made it through the weekend, is because you had the good drugs! Pain pills and alcohol will cheer anyone up!
-
ROFLOL Robin!
-
Thanks jancie - very much looking forward to this weekend - Saskie
-
Robin - don't know what is wrong with my doctor. I ask him for pain meds and the next thing I know he is giving me 120 lortabs with 3 refills! I have them stockpiled for horse accidents!
My horse face planted on Tuesday. Literally, my trainer was riding her and she went down on her knees and her face planted into the ground. My trainer's feet were actually touching the ground for a milisecond and then Jazzy just hopped back up as though nothing had happened at all.
So today I get to ride her after that face plant incident. Don't you know I was really excited about that - NOT!!!! Figured out why she did this. She is still growing. So she grows in her hind end and then in her front end to get her even. So you either have her high on the front or high on the back end, then it goes even and then another growth spurt. They don't grow their front ends and back ends at the same time. So she grew on the back end so her front end was low and now it feels like you are riding her downhill when you are actually riding on a flat even surface. So Jazzy just got uncoordinated. So one of two things would happen today after the face plant on Tuesday, either Jazzy would learn something and actually use her back end better to control her front end or she would get all pissy and buck me off. Well she was a very good girl today so I have no excuse to take any medication at all.
Night before last I had insomnia - got all of 1.5 houirs of sleep which started at 7 am until 8:30 am. Then last night I went to bed at 4 pm - didn't even take my tamoxifen because I figured I would wake up later and take it - no.....never woke up until the next morning. The night I had insomnia so bad I didn't take any ambien or valium but I did take 1/2 of a Mirtazapine at 4 am which should have knocked me out but it didn't.
-
Laura - I am going to be really upset if we don't get reservations for the Piano Bar. I can do without any other event other than that one in particular!
Gisella - we are going in October! We are going during Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Play the CANCER CARD!!! In fact I was going to ask for an upgrade on my flight the day I leave when I check in my bags. A friend of mine flew last year with 1/4" of hair during October and they upgraded her to first class at no cost and she didn't even ask for it.
-
I promise Jancie I won't get all pissy and buck you off!! :-)

Jazzygem - LOL!

Ladies - Just got off the phone with the hotel and the rooms they reserved for us are almost gone! They have NO "regular" rooms - only the "luxury" rooms - at a higher rate: $139 for Fri, $149 for Sat, and $119 for Sun. The agent checked other options for discounted rates, but these were still way cheaper than anything else she could find. I guess this means that if you haven't booked yet, you'd better do so pretty darn quickly!
She also said that they didn't group the rooms together, but would do so if we called them and asked them to "connect the rooms" (her phrase). She offered, but needed last names of reservations..... What did y'all do last year?
-
If you weren't able to get one of the t-shirts that Jazzy and I ordered, you can order a similar one at the savethetatas website: http://www.savethetatas.com/index.php/catalog/womens/tees/
Jazzy, what do our t-shirts look like? I thought they were black with "save the tatas" on the front.
-
Kristinka - they are black and Vivas Las TaTas is in gold beads I believe.
-
Val61: I think that's the price that was posted--check page 12 of the thread. That's also what I was quoted when I made the reservation for Kristen and me a few weeks ago.
Kristinka: I think the shirts say "Viva Las Tatas" or something like that--I'm sure Jazzy will let us know though.

Good evening Ladies....Hope you are doing well.
Jancie not to worry, we will go to the Piano Bar. Last year I was able to have them wave the reservation fee for the seats and we only paid for the entry to the Bar. I was also able to get free entry to all the other bars. I am hoping that I am able to do the same this year but with 50+ of us I have to speak to them. Not to worry I will use the cancer card anytime I can I did last year. It is way too early to try to get comp activities.
I need to ask you all a favor, I called the hotel today and requested a rooming list. If you have booked the room or rooms (Laura) please send me a PM with the name used for the reservation, that way I will make sure the rooms they have match the rooms we have booked. The reason I am doing this is because they show most of the rooms are not booked yet and I do not believe this is the case. Planet Hollywood has been purchased by Harrah's and they are having some confusion in the transition period.
Thank you and I hope you have a great weekend.
Hugs
Gisella
