Faith... thinking of you today and sending lots of love, strenght and prayers.
You have been a wonderful friend to Saint, you gave her a corner to voice all her fears and allowed her to live as she wanted offering her security in your friendship. I know your heart is breaking today, please know you are not alone and she is with those that love her, our other BC sisters.

Sending hugs and prayers your way......everyday!
Hope the pain (emotional and physical) starts to heal soon.
You're such an inspiration to all of us.
We want you to feel good!!!!!

Faith, I hope you are able to get to a beach and sand ... it seems to calm you so much to write in the sand, to hear the ocean ... to get that sense that all will be well .. all manner of things will be well. None of us are thinking that the grief process will be short for any of us, but most especially for you. Strong, strong, hugs my friend.
-
We did make it to the beach yesterday. Truly what the doctor ordered. It was a brilliantly bright breezy sort of beach day.
We were prompted to go, because our 13 year old 'grand-niece' is here for several days of her spring break and she was an ocean-virgin. It was such a thrill to see her excitement and joy. Made it even more of a boost than normal. All of that first-time-enthusiasm was restorative.
Speaking of restorative, I wanted you all to know how grateful I am for your encouragement & hand holding and all the hugs, prayers and sentiments of support. It does take a village.
Waking up today I felt a new sense of "acceptance" (ya know -- Pat's favorite word.) She would shriek at me if she were to suspect me of being glum. Of course my heart is so heavy for Greg and the kids, but I rejoice that Saint has been made whole.
Here's a peek at how I spent my Easter weekend. Transformed a well loved, but weather beaten angel with some TLC. It was therapeutic to say the least.

Oh My God!!!! It's Angel Faith :>) She's gorgeous hon ... good job. I take it this is what you were referring to Sunday night??
-
Yes. Mar. Sunday night's memorial, candle lighting, times of silence, story sharing, raise a toast time together was an enormous help. As was Sat. night's smaller group which allowed me a pity-party of sorts..... where I was given free-range to vent with dear friends.
I have received numerous PMs of hand-holding & encouragement, as well as the twenty-one pages of hugs found here and else where on the other threads. There has been an out-pouring of love and I have soaked it up.
Thanks team. Big enormous thanks.

We have one more day here in sunny FL.
Ready or not, it's back to my 'real life, already in progress.'
I have already posted this news on several of the other threads, but am hopeful that all of my support team have a chance to take a look at my latest efforts.
I have finished a project that I hope you will find to be uplifting. It is a five minute video of photographs that I've taken set to an instrumental (oboe) piece that my daughter recorded. I hope that it brings a sense of calm to your day. It's offered as a meditation. Here is the link. It's posted on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KMMWvMVTko&feature=autofbxx00xx00xx00xxStrength and courage. Strength and courage. Strength and courage. If you watch till the end of the credits, I have dedicated the project to Saint. This has been my "what-I-did-during-my-recovery project." I'm thrilled to have it complete. xx00xx00xx00xxedited. what are all those 'font' things???? -

Hey Faithie. How you doing these days buddy? Hope the transition back to work is just the medicine your doctor couldn't order, but the best medicine for you

We're just back from a quick trip to Chicago.
Today is the (grand)twinsies birthday, so we stopped by their place for cake & cuddles on our way home from a 7 hour drive.
I have an appointment next with with my PCP & also have an appointment for an LE evaluation.
Hopefully between the two, I will get a referral to someone who can shed some light on my continued pain & v-e-r-y slow recovery.
With my DH's support (driving, hauling, schlepping, selling the merchandise) I was able to do the 3 performances yesterday. It was great to be "on stage" for eager kiddies. It was great to be "on stage" for the enthusiastic teachers. It was just very humbling to know there's absolutely no way that I could do it on my own. Probably only about 20% of my 'act' was either forged or faked due to limited ROM/pain.
Today is the day that I had planned to go on to Saint's. I had planned to miss the twins birthday to be able to spend some time with her. For quite some time -- we both knew it wasn't going to happen, but it was helpful for each of us to 'pretend.' Still it's a strange day. God. I miss her.
One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time.

Hugs sweetie. I miss her too ... was going through my phone speed-dial for an entry and came to hers. Just kind of sat there and looked at the name for a few seconds, smiling in memory of our phone chats, but then so very sad for me. Stupid cancer.
-
Oh gosh, it's Monday. Sending you my best and some gentle hugs.
-
It is Monday.
I was just driving home. Picked up my cell phone & activated the direct dial feature. I said very distinctly "call, Sarah, mobile."
To which my phone says,
"Did you say, call Saint, mobile?"
I couldn't believe it.
It was when I said, "No" that I utterly lost it.
I'm not going to post this on either of her threads, because this little technological heart-break is all about me.
I just can't believe that it happened.
And that it happened on a Monday is truly an emotional missle -- straight to my heart.

Strength & courage.
Strength & courage.
Strength & courage.
(I need a refill on both.)
-
ah Faith, things are slow on this end too.
Hang in there!
-
Awwhhhh (((((((((((Faithie)))))))))))))
Maybe that was just Saint's way of letting you know she's still with you in heart and spirit.
She's just not gonna let you forget her
(not that you ever would)
Sending you extra prayers of refills for both STRENGTH AND COURAGE!!!!
-
I like what Coonie says. I believe this also.
Someone sent me this....I'm passing it on to you, Faith, in hopes that it gives a little comfort. Best wishes for today.
Saint Theresa's Prayer
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love
that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the
freedom to sing,
Dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
Saint Theresa is known as the Saint of the
Little Ways, meaning she believed in doing the little things in life
well and with great love... She is represented by roses.
Jennifer -
What a beautiful prayer Jennifer!
I'm gonna print it and keep it close.
It really IS the little things in life that mean so much.
