    Well I'm late finding this one, but I am in Springfield and had wondered if there was anyone around local.  I'm marking this as a favorite.  I was diagnosed in January 2008 so I'm an oldie, but still visit the board (mostly frequent the stage 3 forum).  So glad I found you.

    Hi DC - I am in Alexandria, dx may 2008, so I guess I am an oldie also.   One of my chemo buddies lives in Springfield and we sometimes meet for lunch.   And I am an oldie at age 64, just became a grandma in February.    

    Dawn, I do not know the restaurants around, but Olive Garden was very helpful when I had a group of 12 for lunch one day.   Count me in for the 25th - and probably Christina.

    I am anxious to meet you all.  I've been posting here from the get go...remember seeing posts from NatsFan early on.  I'll be watching for restaurant choice.

    I am open for any place, but I do love Olive Garden and have found they are usually good at accomodating groups.  Dawn, let me know if you would like me to jump in and help with planning, phone calls, etc.  Looking forward to seeing you all.  And my BMX is scheduled for May 11 - YIKES!  Getting nervous, but ready to be done!

    p.s.  anyone with views or input on Dr. Akbari, Dr. Davison (recon) or the DIEP procedure, please feel free to weigh in,

    Hi Dawn.  Once again, thanks for organizing our upcoming gathering.  Can any of you tell me how to edit my profile to add the diagnostic data at the bottom?  Everyone else seems to have that and I can't figure it out.  I can edit but not add that tag line.

    Mine is under "My Home" - "Edit my Profile" (on the top right) - Biography

    Don't know if that's how everyone else had done it but it worked for me.

    Sorry I haven't called you back, still painting.  Doing my entire basement now and I think the walls are sponges (love that builder paint) UGH!!!
