Wahoooo! I'm a yes! Have been waiting to hear how much $$$ to send Laura the bookie!!!!
-
WOW JOYCE...YOU MUST BE FEELING GOOD THIS MORNING SISTA!! with all your shouting and excitement...LOL
WOOOOOHOOOOO
I want to get all this paid for so that the next few months all I have to do is save for my spending money....
-
Laura, just wondering if you will ever have a Vegas reunion with counting the spouses or partners in. Most of them have been through as much hell as we have emotionally. I think they deserve time away and the guys could get together while the girls hang out....I know, no guys, lol. My breast cancer run is that weekend so I am not sure which to do yet.
-
JOYCE!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Jill I understand what you're saying...the hubby's have gone through a lot, but we are the TaTa Sisterhood. This trip was designed for all of us to come together to meet, celebrate our lives, share our fears, excitement, and all of the nasty smutt that goes along with it all. When women are together they are free to share whatever is on their mind (not to mention show off their tatas to eachother). When there are men present we tend to not do or share things like we normally would...it's just a time where we can FINALLY let our hair down, not be inhibited, and most of all not be judged. It's kind of hard for women to bond to the fullest if there are men around.
I know our men have definitely stood by us and have been through so much supporting us which is so wonderful. What would we have done without them>?? They definitely need to be recognised, but this trip is not about them. If there are sisters, mothers, or other female friends that is totally different. This trip totally empowers women, it shows them that they too can overcome this desease!.. It also shows that the bond between us is so strong and it is very inspirational to them!
I really hope I'm not sounding nasty or ungrateful and maybe I'm not saying things in the correct way....so maybe somebody else can help me out here?? MY intent is not to offend anyone so please if I have struck a chord I'm sorry. LOL I HATE hurting feelings and stirring the pot. Our trip last year made such an impact on ALL of us! That's why we are doing it again...and plan on doing it annually. Maybe some day we will plan a trip that will include the hubby's. I know we all want to show off our wonderful supporters and let them share in our celebration!
I totally understand meshing vacations together! It sure saves on the pocketbook! Mona has the right idea with spending tata time and then spending hubby time. :-) The best of both worlds right?
OK I'll step down and get going on my stinkin taxes....urgh!!!!
HUGS!! Jazzy

No, no hubbies came last year. But correctly, one lady brought a friend and her daughter and one brought her mother. There were no men. Our supporters did go through hell with us , huh ladies! I personally wanted me and dh to celebrate our cancer ordeal together, alone. This is just me
I agree with Jazzy. It is special when the girls can be girls.
This might be something to open up to discussion.
I personally would be apt to spend my time with hubby if he were there.. so I would not bring mine to a ta ta reunion I would to a survivors and supports reunion or something.
Anyway.. Tracey never said NO spouses or partners I don't think? She would be the one to ask this too.. Tracey... Stephanie and Gisella... Ask them.
JOYCE... GOT IT... OK... Laura... Linda....Judy... Joyce.... 4 to go????
I will let you know when to pay me..:)
-
WELL SAID JAZZY.....
-
Thanks Linda...I have been feeling kinda uneasy about my post, so thanks. :-)
-
Well, I hate to be the fly in the ointment . . . but our place is booked. DH and I are going for the week. He is very happy to spend the ta ta weekend golfing with our friends and hanging out on his own. Neither of us feel the need to be joined at the hip, just because he's in the same town. Since we are staying at a different hotels, I don't see the problem. I will be with the girls for the weekend and with him for the rest of the week.
If that's a problem, I'll bow out now. Just let me know.
-
NO NO NO NO MONA! WE NEED YOU, YOU ARE OUR TATA SISTA!!!! I think it's wonderful that you will be able to have the best of both worlds!! It sounds like your hubby will have a blast while you are playing with us too!! He will get the best of both worlds as well! :-) I'm sorry if I sounded like I pouty pill....it must be the lack of estrogen...haha
You BETTER PLAY WITH US OR WE WILL HUNT YOU DOWN!!!! Be vewy vewy quiet...I'm huntin tahtahs....
-
MONA...... YOU HAVE TO COME! WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A BLAST!!! We just don't want to be showing off our Ta-ta's in front of your hubby....lol .......Girl time bonding is so great, I'm really looking forward to a little weekend away from the hubby, just the girls, the laughs, the bonding, the piano bar...lol
See ya in Vegas !
Terri
-
I'm sure DH wouldn't mind at all if ya'll want to show off your ta ta's!!
-
I am just catching up with a few weeks of posts. Hello to all!
Cheri -- I am glad you are coming, but our room is full at the moment. Cute picture!
Roomies --Tracey, Jancie, MaryBeth -- who's booking our room?
-
Mona -- LOL re: your DH not minding a view of our ta-ta's
I agree though with Jazzy and Laura and others who have posted: this is a sisterhood event! I know I wasn't there last year but it sure seems right to me that it is about women sharing with one another. Perhaps another time and place for a weekend that involves sisters and their mates?
Anyway, my plan is to have my boyfriend meet me on Monday after we are done (and I will stay on in Vegas with him)... so he and I also will get the best of both worlds. Surely others can do the same (plan for hubbies to meet up later?) Mona, how cool that you have access to a time share across the street and that your hubby is one who can self-amuse!
I look forward to meeting ALL of you.
Lilah

Well, we have not heard the final from Tracey.. Steph and Gilsella... But it sound unanimous... NO HUBBIES..:)... they are More than welcome to be in Vegas...HEHE... just not with the Ta Ta's on Fri-Sun. Good way to put it Lilah! This way all ladies can come.. those who need their hubbys/partners can have the best of both worlds... as Lilah put it...:)... Monday and beyond is for the hubbies...:)
-
Sorry ladies, I didn't mean to upset the applecart. I only asked as there is only one flight (From Victoria) to Vegas and back once a week on Tuesdays and Vegas is not a place I would want to spend the rest of the time alone.
-
Jazzy - well said. I don't think I could have expressed those feelings in such a thoughtful manner. This is about US.
FYI - I thought of inviting my cousin as she was diagnosed 10 years ago but you can't get her to shut up! She is a non-stop talker - which doesn't bother most people but I can only take so much. In fact I don't call her unless I have at least 1.5 hours to spend on the phone. Love her to pieces and she is a ton of fun and will no problem showing off her tatas. I am still riding the fence as to whether or not to invite her.
Robin - can you make the reservations? I can send you a check in advance for my portion if you like. I don't have my plane reservations but it is way early to be doing that and I typically don't book my flights until I am closer to 30 days from departure. Remember last year it took me an extra week to book my flight after I got your information? It is just one of those tasks that I really don't like to do - book flights on the internet - such a PITA at times. I am still getting prescriptions for ambien and valium so I don't want to even hear that I sound like a Greyhound Bus!! What is not fair is that I am rooming with 2 skinny, in shape women and I am still overweight like last year. I sit on my butt and watch The Biggest Loser but do I do a darn thing? Nope!! -
YES YES YES!!! THIS IS THE TA TAS "SISTERHOOD" REUNION!! WE DO LOVE OUR MEN BUT FOR 3 DAYS WE WILL HAVE TO DO WITHOUT THEM!!!! WE HAVE ALL SURVIVED CANCER SO SURVIVING A 3 DAY SEPERATION FROM OUR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS SHOULD BE A PIECE OF CAKE.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WILL BE VACATIONING W/DH IN VEGAS THAT WEEK NO WORRIES. HAVE FUN WITH YOUR MEN BUT GIVE THE SISTERHOOD SOME OF YOUR TIME MINUS THE HUBBY. TRUST ME IT WILL BE A BLAST AND YOU WILL CREATE MEMORIES NOT SOON TO BE FORGOTTEN!!
SOMEONE CAN PLAN A HUBBY/SURVIVOR TRIP (NOT ME) LOL
ANOTHER PLACE ANOTHER TIME! BUT THAT WEEKEND BELONGS TO US!!
SEE YA IN VEGAS LADIES!!!!
-
Lilah, KEW, and Julie (aka fellow roomies) - have any of you booked our room? If not, I'll be glad to do it on my credit card.....just let me know....then I need to start looking at flights. Anybody else out there going from the Dallas area?
and I agree.....no guys....girls rock......especially Ta Ta Girls!
-
Hey Girls, I've got a question about holding our room.....is it like last year & we put down a deposit, or do we have to pay for the whole 3 nites??? I didn't want to make a long distance call till I knew for sure-plus from what I've been reading, got the idea we had to pay for the whole thing-just let me know please. Jazzy, as I mentioned when I e-mailed you,we got a few unexpected medical bills along with Hubby getting business started, credit card was maxed out & just now got it paid. So as soon as I hear what we do about the room, will still take care of it & let you know were set!!
As for all the hubby stuff- I know it can be hard to get away for a vacation with all the we've been thru, but this is about Breast Cancer surviors-a sisterhood built with Love & all the support you could ever imagine. We love our hubbies & the way they have stood by us,but it is only 3 days & like those of you bringing them, they can do their thing while we get you, then you can have the rest of the time together after our time. I'm all for doing a get together including the hubbies like Tracy mentioned, but I too cannot plan it,but would be interested in it!!!
I wish you all healthy & well!! I'm still doing ok with one day at a time. I did have a blonde/chemo,/senior moment the other day & made a bad judgment call & fell off a 5 ft ladder. I'm only telling you all this because my hubby is on FB & he might tell on me....I was just trying to get some things done on my own, getting tired of being so sick & tired...you know??!!! I can only handle looking at the dust bunnies for so long-they do multiply you know!!! LOL LOL
Did I mention there is only 168 days left till VEGAS BABY!!!!!!! Ready or not...were coming in full force Long live the TA TA SISTA'S!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
-
Susie: I reserved a room last week and they only required one night in advance on my credit card. Hope you aren't too sore after that fall. Can't wait to meet everyone!!
TCK
-
TCK is right... Only one night goes on the credit card... so.. what I am going to do... since I will have two rooms..LOL.. I will have the ladies in my rooms.. just send me the amount I am out... Well.. we will divide it 8 ways..:).. THEN.. when we get to Vegas.. I will tell the girls the exact extra amount the each will owe me.. and they will pay me the rest IN VEGAS with a Check or cash... Last year I had some do cash ( so I would have some cash on me) and some checks..
ANYWAY... I always write a book...LOL
Only one night is put on your CC to hold the room
I still need to hear from four gals out of my eight...
-
Val -- go for it! I was going to do it but was waiting til this summer... but if you would rather do it now I think that's great. As Laura said it's just paying for one night anyway... Karen will only be staying the first two nights (Friday and Saturday)... I think she said she would have to leave on Sunday (but confirm with her). Julie?
-
OK LAST CALL FOR VIVA LAS TATA SHIRTS!! The only shirts left available to order are XXLarge t-shirts. Let me know asap if you want to order one.
-
Will we be ordering some T's from another source? Did we find out if the company that makes them owns the logo? Just wondering since there seems to be a few ladies who do not have shirts.
Terri
-
Hi Terri I actually forgot to ask about the Phrase. Everybody has a shirt...so far. They JUST called me making sure we want them still because they have an event tomorrow and most likely all of them will be gone. SO She is saving them for us. Kristina will be ordering them soon. Thanks for the concern Terri! YOU ROCK!
HUGS! Jazzy
-
