    Hi Kerry,

Wishing you the best of luck with your surgery and don't worry too much . I had the same surgery and after it was all over I realized that all my anxiety before the surgery was worse than my recovery period.   I am sorry you can't join us this time , but we will definately set up another coffee date for next time.

    Take care !

Thank you so much for the prayers and good wishes!! I am in Florida now, will be home on Saturday night in time to get hyped up (and cleaned out!!) on Sunday for my Monday surgery. Hope it doesn't get switched again...it almost did, I got a phone call here in Florida. Phew, for now it is still on. Enjoy your coffee - I look forward to meeting you all soon with my new pair of boobies!!  Terri- How are yours looking and feeling? I know I will not like them for a few weeks and they change, right? So I shouldn't expect too much at first?

Kerry, enjoy Florida! I hope the weather is better than it was a few weeks ago...we stopped there to catch our ship and it was freezing!

I hope your surgery goes as planned and you can get this stage over with! I'm sure your boobies will look great and yes, they do change. Mine are still changing and looking more natural. I've posted updated pics on the pic forum. You can really tell the difference from 3 months ago so yes, you'll love them more and more as time goes on.

Enjoy yourself and rest up for your surgery. Have a safe trip back and hopefully we'll all get to meet once your recovered.

Thank you Terri! I am looking so forward to the surgery on Monday but so worried that it will be changed at last minute. I've heard so many wacky stories. Did you end up wearing a surgical bra or any type of bra? I ordered a surgical bra off-line and wondering if I will wear it. My doc also says ot necessary but Whippetmom has me nervous.

I didn't wear one...actually I hate wearing bras now but realize that I need to sometimes. I usually wear a sports bra when I'm home. I think if your PS does a great job and they sit where they should be and they are not too large or heavy you probably won't need to wear a surgical bra - a sports bra should do if you feel the need to wear something. I sometimes wear the sports bra to bed because it just hold them in place when I'm sleeping on my side. Remember, I have 700cc's in these babies!Surprised...lol

    Hello all !

Have not been on the boards for a while and seem to have missed alot.  I needed to take a break form the whole BC thing !!! Had my last fill yesteday (At 400cc now) and am really worried they will be to big, this is definetly too big for me. I think I might go see him again and ask him to take some out. I really do not want to be bigger then I was before.

Kerkle: Good luck on your surgery, I have complete faith in Dr. S. and I am sure the hyterectomy will also good well. I saw my GYN yesterday and he mentionned this is something I might want to think about because taking tamoxifen increases your risk of uterine cancer. Does this ever end ... Anyway he says I don't need to think about it for a while. Too bad you we will not be able to join us next week, we will definetly have to organize another time. Looking forward to hearing how your exchange went as I will be doing mine hopefully late May. Out of curiosity how much did he fill you to ?

    Hope you are well.

I am filled to 265cc's. I have no clue what the end product will be or what it will look like, but I asked to stay small. I was an "empty" A before all this and I liked the way my clothes fit, so I asked for a fuller A or small B. We shall see! I trust Dr.S fully and so far he and Pina have been amazing. I am excited for that part, just very nervouse for the hysterectomy part - the loss of hormones. Worried about how I will feel. Enjoy your coffee - I look forward to meeting everyone at the next coffee!

Marie, I understand that you're worried about your size right now but please keep in mind that a TE expanded to 400cc's is not the same as a 400cc implant. The look is completely different. You won't have the projection you do now, nowhere near. The implants "flatten" under the muscle and therefore even if your PS puts in a 400cc implant or a bit larger, you will not look like you do now, you'll most likely look smaller. Please go on the breast implant 101 thread and speak to "whippetmom". She knows her stuff and she'll be able to answer your questions - she's helped many women.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wed! Will have a green tea for you Kerry!

Marie, it was fun to finally meet you today. So nice to put a face to the name. I hope you got home in time, the traffic was terrible by the time we left. I'm glad we took the time out of our busy schedules to chat and make new friendships. As always, it was nice to see Yo and Sylvia once again.

Kerry, I hope your surgery went well and that you're not suffering in pain too much. I know the first week is especially hard but it does get easier...trust me. The hardest part I remember was getting in and out of  a chair or bed. Take your pain meds  and try to get some rest. We missed you today but we're looking forward to meeting up with you when you're feeling better. Take care and let us know how you're doing.

It was so nice to finally meet you Sylvia and Marie and see you againTerri!  I am looking forward to the next time we meet again.  I guess we will all have more to add to our stories.  It sure is great to meet people that actually have the same doctors and hospitals to compare stories and get advice and just chat too!

I'm here!!! Phew!! This was a really hard week...this is my first time near the computer...

The surgery went well - a little longer than expected (7 hrs) so it was a very hard recovery for a few days. My ovary was stuck to my colon so it took a little bit longer and they had to do extensive pocket work on my breasts. I experienced a ton of anxiety in the hospital, it was even worse than the pain. My head was awful and I could not shake it - until I put on the Estrogen patch! There was a lot of controversy with that...the residents and fellows did not want to give it to me, as they see E+ and textbooks say "no way", but as I discussed with my doc, I am in a grey zone (in situ and no breasts) so we wanted it. We couldnt find her on discharge and I was left high and dry until my hubby sat in her waiting room on Friday morning. Then, I had very low blood pressure at home the other morning and wouldnt pass, so we almost had to go to Emerge...but food, juice, feet up, phone calls to docs...it passed. Very Scary!! Now, I have a Urinary tract infection (woke up with fever yesterday), so hone calls again and then a friend (doc) sent me to a lab, tested and prescrobed antibiotics...still fever, but feeling a bit better finlly today. And...to top it off...Two kids with high fevers and on antibiotics today for Strep throat!! Its been a very difficult time.

But...Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers and hugs, i need/ed them! About the boobs...they are HUGE!! I hate them! Way bigger than I expected or ever wanted, they better shrink 50% or I'm in big trouble. I am so angry, I am not sure what the doc was thnking but I see him tomorrow so I will ask. I did some fat rafting so maybe he out too much fat and I dont know the cc's he put in. I asked a nurse in recovery and she said
"maybe 325 grams (?)" which makes no sense to me. I was at 265cc's expander and happy with them. I will post tomorrow and let you all know whathe says. Aain, thank you for all your support. Hugs back to you all.

Kerry!!!!!!!!!! You're back! So sorry to hear about all the trouble you've had. Wow, that was a long operation for sure. I know the longer you're under the harder it is to recover, I feel sorry for you, it must have been rough. I hope everything is settling down now and you can rest and recover. You should be feeling alot better with the antibiotics.

The boobies always look bigger after the operation. The swelling will go down and I hope they go down enough so that you're happy with them. The pocket work, fat grafting and just the surgery itself was alot going on and I'm sure they will look better to you in a couple of weeks. If he really did put in 325 that's not too bad since your TE's were 265's. The implants compress under the muscle so  they have to put in more cc's than the TE. Don't freak out just yet, wait and see what happens. I know mine really changed alot after about 3 weeks and now 4 months later they have changed again. They kind of settle into place and aren't so high up and "in your face" if you know what I mean. I hope everything works out for you .....

Take care fo yourself and I hope your Doc gives you the answers you want to hear!

    Hello Kerry,

It is nice to hear from you and I am so sorry to hear that you had such a rough week.  It takes a bit of time to recover from a 7 hour surgery and it will get better each day as you rebuild your strength.   I hope you have some help at home and try to take it easy and not over do it.

     Take Care !

Thank you girls!! I am feeling much better today - I went to see my PS (Dr.Schwarz) yesterday and he did say they are very swollen and will change. I also have a breast infection on my radiated side, so he upped the antibiotics for a longer time. We are watching the area closely and I pray that the infection will go away. I have been taking it very easy, with lots of help at home, so I can not complain. He also said he put in 335grams (they do call implants by grams (?)), which I still find huge on me. I bet I'm the first hoping for major shrinkage!!

Bonjour mes amies!  We have a new BCO member - Laurence - who lives in France and whose native tongue is French.  She just recently joined us here, but is concerned that her lack of ability in English is keeping her from learning all she can from this site.

For those of you fluent in French, would you consider sending her a private message and offer to help her with translation?  I'm sure she would appreciate it so very much.

    Merci!

    Hi Ladies,

Definitely won't be me for translation.  Amazingly enough bc has not improved my french!

Sorry not to be on sooner but with work and life I have not logged on too much.  I am still waiting to hear about rads.  Hopefully will hear this week.

Kerry, I am sorry to hear about your experience with surgery and everything.  I hope things are going better.  I know how overwhelming it can be when everything goes wrong all at once.  I also understand the anxiety worrying over your implants-it is so permanent.  I hope things are going better.  Wishing you strength and all things good!

Marie: I understand the mixed emotions over this anniversary. Try not to dwell on it. Don't go there. You are alive and healthy and although you've been on a heck of a journey, today is a new day. Focus on your upcoming exchange - you're almost done! I'm happy for you and I just know everything will go well. We have such great Dr's here in Montreal. I'm not sure if it's the same for you, but I was more nervous about what my new boobs would look like than I was about going under for the 4th time in one year. Being nervous is perfectly normal. Just think about the nice soft squishy boobs you're going to have and about how  much easier it'll be to do things without those "rocks" on your chest. I'll be thinking about you on the 26th and smiling because I'll know that another "sister" is going to the next phase of putting all this behind her...........

Yo: Good luck with Rads. It was a fine experience for me, even quit peaceful as it was a quiet time at the end of the day, met really nice people and blasted the sh-t out of the cancer cells!!

Marie- exchange has been wonderful. The silicone gummies are a pleasure, so soft and comfy. Nothing to worry about and Dr.S is amazing, a true artist.

I have not been around here - just got home from the hospital from my 3rd hospital stay following my surgery (ies). I ended up with a cellulitis infection in my breasts (from the fat grafting) and that required a 48hr+ stay at the MGH to get powerful IV antibiotics and then last week i ended up at the RVH in agony in my pelvic area, high fever...just my luck, I had (have) and abcess from my hysterectomy and was hospitalized until this past Wednesday. I was on more IV antibiotics (2 kinds) and on pain meds, fever, but was discharged Wednesday to see how I do at home. My fingers are crossed that I will not have to return to have it drained. This has been a long haul and a diffucult recovery, but I am hopeful that all will go well from here on.

Hope to meet you all in person soon.

    Kerry
