so glad you are in the wonderful Disney World today during this difficult time. Saint was so lucky to have you as her friend!!

Dear Faith,

There is so much for you to cherish and take forth with you from your special friendship with Saint. As you participate in your families's adventure in the Land of Wonder, grandkids and all, I hope and pray you can manage to embrace it all with extra verve in Saint's honour or should I say in her example. You know that is what she wanted for you. 

I am thinking good thaughts and remembering that Saint is now pain free and being afforded all favours in heaven. Remember all the good times, she is free now.

It's at a time like this, that you've just got to believe.

Believe in Divine Timing.

Believe in Infinite Mercy.

We decided last night that I would 'stay home' from the Disney experience today and babysit the baby, in an effort to let the two bigger brothers have mom/dad/grand-dad's full attention.

So today I spent the entire day with a beautiful, healthy, happy nine month old. Watching him blow raspberries and attempt to stand up.

He wore me out. (He's a hefty boy.)

But it was heaven's way of offering me healing.

I was doing "ok" till he fell asleep for a nap. Then I just sobbed in the silence.

Which was good to do in the privacy of a hotel room on a sunny afternoon.

Then we strolled about the place -- watching the ducks and fountains.

I wrote on my blog about waking up, "knowing" this morning, before reading her DH's announcement.

She is pain free and for that I rejoice.

She was granted an encore chapter to shepherd me thru this surgery & recovery. She must believe that I can continue on, under your collective guidance.

I thought she'd leave us on Good Friday. That would have been the only thing more poignant.

But she was granted her wish, in going to heaven on the fast-track, once she was ready. She told me sooooooo many times that she didn't want to linger. And for that mercy I am grateful.

Faith you have been such a good friend and I can only imagine how difficult today must be for you.  I think it was such a nice thing you did for her, having as many of us as possible to send Saint a birthday card and make that a real special birthday. It sounds like it was a success.

I can't seem to leave the boards ... I go away from one site for a little bit, do the work I'm being paid to do, but keep being drawn back.  The comfort we give each other cannot be understood by anyone but us ... it defies words.  Faith, I hope you feel our arms around you, just as I feel everyone's around me.  Tough times, but soooo brightened by a nine-month old's giggles ... how priceless is that timing?  Love and hugs ... love and hugs.
