    Sharon, you done good! Laughing

Nancy, I (used to) LOVE moving! It's like re-inventing yourself and really brings me "up". I moved FIVE times one year. I'd rather move than houseclean. Sadly I am just too knackered to even think about ever moving again.....sigh. Cry

Like Sharon, I have been away too long from this thread.  I promise not to do this again!

Candy ... a hearty welcome!  Housework, like sanity, is overrated.  Coonie give great advice!  Go have some fun instead.  You can assign tasks for your sisters to do.

Barbe ... I didn't know the chocolate bunnies were posted - you know I just hate to be repetitive!  You have to wait until sometime in April until you get the results?  WTH?

Mum ... so sorry to hear your news.  Why is it that these doctors don't tell us about reactions to rads, chemo, surgery or any other part of this disease?  I will be sitting on pins and needles until you get the results (of course, with my neuropathy, I wouldn't feel anything)!  Happy birthday Mum!

Faith ... you have such a great way of expressing yourself.  I love to read your posts!

Jayne ... yes, that was me!  Been falling ever since.  Great news about your bones!  Of course you r oncologist knows you will come in next year.

    Vivvy ... Amen!

Arnie ... it always a distinct pleasure to have you post.  When I can't find you on the threads, its a gloomy day.  And yes, I fell again.  This time I am only sore - didn't break anything (I think).  Sorry about DH.  I had the same thing only I didn't grow any new vessels.  Are they going to do open heart surgery?  I will pray for you and DH.  Isn't it horrible that you only forget about BC when you are worried about someone else's health.  Yea ... B9 is great!  Love the dancing cat.

Jaimieh ... I think we can 'overlook' the yard sale because they are fun but you are getting pretty close to the line!

Sharon ... LOVE the picture.  Usually, you can't get cats to do anything that could be remotely helpful!  When I had multiple cats I would try to explain to them that while I realized they couldn't  vacuum alone, surely 5 or 6 of them could get together and push it around the room

Shiny ... so glad your medication adjustment is helping you with pain.  I don't mean to make light about pain but chronic pain gets on my last nerve.  I consider it a personal affront.  I pray the can relieve your pain all the time. BTW, how are your son and daughter?

Coonie  ... pictures are too cute!  I especially love the bunny.  Taking care of people, I think, gives women a longer life (or maybe it just seem longer!).

For everyone having tests, procedures, and more things to their bodies,   God bless and please, please, please keep us updated.

Here's to the finest women I know!

I guess I was posting at the same time as Nancy, Sharon and Barbe.

Barbe ... Or, as my granddmother said "cheaper than paying rent."  I like to move too - but only if my only task is supervising.

Nancy ... are you getting excited?  As I said to Barbe - I like moving as long as I don't have to lift anything, pack anything or carry anything.  Try to get some sleep - nothing like constuction going on outside your window - it makes for such a nice deep sleep!

Sharon ... good picture and great caption.  Barbe is right - you done good.

I moved after 36 years in the same house to this apartment, almost 4 year ago.   I "reinvented" myself and it was a good move.   Now I am downsizing a bit more, got rid of the sofa bed, big old oak desk and one more chest of drawers, whittled down to only 3 book cases.   This week I have tackled the kitchen and one load has gone to the donation center.   Lots of hostess stuff I used to use, but not since moving here.  Don't use it - get rid of it.

I should have signed up for What Not to Wear, as I am also reinventing my closet and "wardrobe".  Nothing new, just chucking the stuff I don't or won't wear.   (We won't mention things that don't fit...)  Hee Hee...    And shoes - my feet hurt so much unless soft shoes and NO heeled dress shoes.   IF I get invited to a wedding I will have to rethink foot wear - maybe a long dress with Ugg boots hidden under !!!    Sandles are out since my toe nails still are not all grown in.

My printer stopped working as I was trying to clear up my files.   Maybe I need a new one.   Back to trouble shooting it.   Hugs, Nancy

Nancy, when I had to wear good shoes to a wedding I bought silver flats that looked great! Better than taking my shoes off to dance like other ladies had to do...

Happy Birthday, (((((((((((((((( dear Coonie)))))))))))))))))    Sorry I can't post pictures or graphics.   I am getting down to the "living out of boxes" phase with this upcoming move.   One week from Monday the truck arrives and I get to sleep in the new place.   Then back here to do the final cleaning and hopefully get all my security deposit back.   Hugs and Happies for everyone, Nancy

Faith!!! Thank you for the "heads up" from your birdy about Coonie's birthday, you told me just in time! (That is the handy thing about being here, 7:30 pm, but it's still "day time" in the states..whew! Thank you!!! xx

Darlings, sorry i've been bit "postless"!!! Just having the wind out of my sails or whatever the expression is.

Arnie!!!!! I love the lemonette bottle top!! Brill!! So cute and "au point" for me!!

I confess, with my current status, I am finding myself rather in a muddle about everyone's news; I've tried to "keep up".. let see.. (do set me straight where I have gone amiss)

Ms MCraw, is falling...and falling, deeeeery me. How dreadful. I don't dare send you a hug in fear of bruising you further. xx Barbe, missed the outcome of your heart monitor marathon, I hope things are managable and that you are getting the right level of pain meds to cope! Faith, ever more strain on your heart re Saint, and your continued struggles to heal from your opp. Time will heal. Hope you are a wee bit more comfortable. Nancy, moving on out, quite exausting but thrilling at the same time. EWB, so sorry that DH is not being "D" right now. big big hug. Viv, keep to the minimum fuss so you are not too exausted to manage the visitors. A welcoming home need not be a perfect house, just a happy house.xx.Arnie praying for your DH and you all. Mumayan, Costa Rica, ahh just what your doc ordered. Jaimie, Jayne, doing well?Sharron heard your lunch with Kona was a big hit, no suprise there with you in the kitchen.xx am out of the loop. I just wanted to let everyone know, that Saint is "failing" and is likely to slip into coma soon.

More news on her 'threads' but wanted to thank everyone here for your continued prayers on her behalf, which have therefore strengthened me in the process.

Hope your birthday was great fun Coonie, what a blessing you are to all us dustbunnies.xx

I got a call from the area hospital today, that they want me in tomorrow to see the Chest (heart and respiratory) specialist. Of course it had to overlap with the school run, my DH is out of town this week on bussiness, I had an organised playdate for my DS organised that I will now have to try to explain away. A friend has offered to walk the kids home to her place after school, so got to prep visuals for that for DS. Am nervous about the drive to the hospital, not my thing driving to tricky new routes.

I am lemonette as always, but hopefully I will soon have some answers, on that front, still spine specialist to wait for.  Despite my lemonette status, I am still a very blessed girl and so glad for each and every day, and glad to share some of those days with my bunny friends.

    Take care my dear loveys!

got to go make a pick nick for the kiddos, decided it would lighten spirits to have a pick nick on a picknick rug in the sitting room, with streak sandwiches cut up veg, grapes, and choc ices.. it's so dark and rainy outside. We'll probably have "Winnie the pooh and the blustery day" on the tv at the same time, or maybe Bear in the big blue house.

All but one kitchen cupboard and one drawer are packed up.  They are doing the pre move inspection today to tell me if I need to do anything special to get my security deposit back.  Of course I have not scrubbed the shower stall yet, as I am still here.   It is clean, but not "move in clean".

Friday will be 7 years since my DH died, so I will visit the cemetery and take flowers and remember the good times.   He loved to play with rubber bands and yesterday, in the middle of the floor was a rubber band.  I have not used them in ages and no idea where it came from...   Monday the moving van comes - so I will have to get a move on to finish packing.

Hugs, Blessings, good vibes, smilies and strength and courage.   Nancy

Nancy ... I congratulate you on your moving.  The times I have had to move have traumatized me to the point of instant paralysis.  I am not joking.  I have acquired so much stuff it is a nightmare.  Every time I have moved out of a rental property they manage to find things to fix that equal my security deposit - its amazing, it always comes to my security deposit!

Lucy ... somewhere I missed why you are doing home improvements but I am glad they are moving right along.  Nothing like having your home disrupted!

Nancy, that is too cool about the rubber band! I find those kinds of signs all over the place. When I moved about 8 years ago and was vacuuming the final upstairs closet, I saw what looked like a leaf on the floor. I tried to suck it up but it wouldn't go. When I picked it up, it was a classified ad, very old. In the light I saw that it was a wedding announcement for my parents!!! As my mom had been dead for a number of years, I showed my dad a couple months later. He was stunned! Said he never even knew there was an announcement! Too cool eh???

The inspection is done.  The (crummy) mini blinds need to be replaced.  I always hated blinds --- did I mention I hate blinds ???   Other than that, all is ok.

Barbe, that is way cool about the wedding announcement.   I am off to play bridge and exercise my few remaining brain cells.   It is very cool here but the forecast 80 by the weekend.   Hugs for all, Nancy

Lovely story Barbe re the wedding announcement. Am behind on the thread, forgive me, been ..broken.

Had one of my specialist appointment today, he can hear, or in some way can assert that there is some narrowing or other obstruction he thinks in the bronchial something or others (he talks quick what can  tell you). So as a first step, he's going to have a "look see" fiberoptic bronchoscopy (not sure if it's that, it's my nearest guess) like I said he talks fast. He want to do it Thursday a.m under sedation. Bit soon, bit tricky with hub away, but best to get on with it. Have managed to really hurt my back, or something and agravated neck. Pain killers not touching it. Never mind, we'll asses the neck and heart later but for now just pleased to get things underway for some of the stuff. ..well, you did ask for me to report, but such a bore it is, don't you think.

Hope you girls are fairing well this week.

Thanks all, Barbe and Kmacc, xx

The latest episode in the life of Drama Queen:   Played bridge and enjoyed the break from packing.   Got home and message from new apartment complex to call them asap.   The peeps who were to move out of the apt I was to move into, have not moved, have no intention of moving and they are not going to pay rent - in other words, they were to be out on Sunday and the manger is to start eviction proceedings - which take about 30 days.  Bottom line - apt not available.  >> sign, deep breath >> all is not hopeless ---

Same style apt in other building is vacant, all  cleaned, shampooed, new fridge, beautiful and I can have to keys today if I come over and get them, with no extra charge for the extra days till Monday (day I was to move into other place).   And they will knock off a large chunk of first month's rent.   I looked at it, loved it even more than I remembered from the previous visits to the complex and have the keys, parking permit, security codes, etc.

The fun begins tomorrow when I contact the electric company for a 3rd change of address.   The first place had a catastrophe - which turned out wife dropped dead and husband obviously was devastated and cancelled the move.   # 2 has to have people evicted, # 3 is MINE...    I planned a few days overlap to get in and organize a bit, figure out where to put furniture, take over bits and pieces, etc.   Movers are coming Monday, but I don't have to be out until next Thursday.   I am not sure I will ever move again...!!!

Enough about me.  Hugs, smilies, and Blessings for all, Nancy

Barbe ... that is a wonderment!  Once I lost an antique ring - I know it was outside.  Several days later I found it on the staircase, which, in keeping with this thread, shows how often my family cleaned!

Shiny ... so glad you are finally making progress with your health.

Nancy ... moving is like sheer madness - just go along with it!

    moving-day
