I am definitely having flashbacks also. So hard to believe it is all over for the most part. About six weeks ago I felt something. I didn't call because I had an onc. appt. on 3/11 (anniversary of
1st chemo) When I get to my appt. (in the city sometimes a 1-1 1/2 hour drive depending on traffic), the admin. assist of my Dr. tells me that my onc. (who is pregnant and probably delivering sometime next week) is sick, was in but went home, my NP is home with her sick son. She tells me I can reschedule, so I get teary and tell her "I feel something" and was counting on this appt. I get another Dr.'s NP, who checks me out and sends me to radiology for an ultrasound, I have to get a mammo prior (needed to warrant an ultrasound). Radiologist tells me she sees no difference, plus most recurrances don't happen the 1st year, but this is inconclusive I need to see someone who (knows my breasts). I reschedule to see my onc., the office calls one day later and says I better see my BS instead, but welcome to also keep rescheduled appt. with onc. (I say why waste both our times and cancel with onc. Hallelujia - just got home today from BS appt. what I'm feeling is changes due to the radiation. (changes can occur for a couple years in some patients). Also additional breast tenderness is actually breast bone tenderness, again from radiation or possibly arthritis and is normal but a nuisance. So, being my emotional self, I felt very much like an idiot, paranoid patient and as usual got upset with myself. My BS is wonderful and assured me she likes seeing patients with false alarms and that is why she is there. Oh, and prior to my appt. my onc came out to the waiting room to check in on me and apologize for not being there on my regular appt day. She is beaming and ready to be a mom. So I had great new today and hopefully no more "flashbacks".
-
Patti: That's great news. You definitely shoudn't feel like an idiotic paranoid patient though. You should be proud of yourself for being diligent. Now that you have a good explanation for the changes you were feeling you can rest a little easier. Good for you and I agree with your BS...false alarms probably make her day!
Chris: Glad your MRI and bloodwork went well with no fainting. It will all be good news next week and we will have a special toast to the all clear!
Cheers and hugs to all

Hi Ladies,
Got info today from Beth P, Patti, Chris, Diane, Tanasha .I can't wait to meet all of you.
Patti..too bad about all the grief you went through. We all can relate to the same feelings. Being concerned after what we have been through is not ridiculous. Glad all turned out well.
I saw my PS today..............he took out a few stitches and said all looked well. He said that the breasts are quite similar and when the swelling goes down they should look the same. he said I could also wear a bra. I don't as both breasts are quite firm and I have the iron bra feeling from my latflap surgery so it always feels like I am wearing a bra/. He said to come back in six weeks. He did give me exercises to keep the implant fluffy. For some reason after the visit I became depressed. This is out of character. Maybe because of all I have been through . I don't know. Well tomorrow is another day.
Keep the info coming and soon I will post all plans.
Hugs,
Francine

Francine...sometimes gettting to the light at the end of the tunnel isn't what it is cracked up to be. I know I get an over-inflated idea of how I will feel after a particular event and then end up depressed because it doesn't turn out that way. Glad to hear everything went well!
-
Francine: I hope your spirits are lifted today. I think what your feeling is perfectly normal. It's been a long journey for you. Time now to embrace the light at the end of the tunnel and really feel that you are finally done.
Thanks ladies for all the e-mails yesterday. I think the only one I still need is Michelle's so hopefully she'll pop in and send it to me. Once I get it, I think Francine will be ready to send out the details.
Have a happy day

Well...results not good. The found a spot in the breast that already had cancer. I need to go for an ultrasound and biopsy. Why do I feel like this is starting all over again. I don't feel like I can beat this.
I'll keep you up to date. Please pray for B9 results.
Chris
-
Chris......I am praying for B9 results. Remember we are still Warrior Princesses!!!!! You can beat anything.
-
Chris...You are definitely in my prayers. No one should have to go through this once, let alone twice.
-
Chris: I know how frightened you are right now but hang in there. Many of us have had similar scares since this whole nightmare began but we all have had good B9 results. . We are all here for you. Do you know when you're getting it done?
PRAYERS and BIG HUGS are being sent your way!

Hi all,
Chris... Praying for B9 results for you. . Hang in there..
All - have a great day!!!
Beth
-
Chris,
I feel so bad . But I do believe that MRI's do give false postives.
When will you have your biopsy?
I can so relate.
That was exactly my feeling a few weeks ago..Am I to go thru this again. Can I be strong enough.
Please know that we are all here for you..
Hugs,
Francine

-
Chris! Wishing you B9 results!! Scar tissue is a common occurence!! Hang in there!!!
-
She was going to try to schedule it tomorrow! She didn't get back with me today
I will keep you all posted and thanks for the well wishes. YOU give me strength!
-
Chris,
I do hope you get the appt as soon as possible.
We are all here for you.
Hugs,
Francine
-
Chris am praying and praying for you. You know the odds are in your favour, and I hope you can get the answers you deserve as soon as possible.
-
Chris,
Hope the appt comes soon. You know we are all thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers.
Hugs,
Francine

I thank you all so much for your encouragement. If it was a mammo...I could see false positives. BUT an ultrasound with the contrast??? I just don't know. I've read that ultrasounds can distinguish between scar tissue and cancer. It can tell the difference between cancerous and noncancerous cells. This just scares the daylight out of me.
Whatever happens..I will deal with it. Just didn't want to be thrown back to the beginning of the journey so soon!
-
Wow...so much happening...
((((((((((((Chris)))))))))))) will definetly be checking back in to keep up with you... so sorry for this scare!
To all the March warriors that have had B-9 results...congrats! I just got mine too, B-9. Relieved...but of course have a mamography scheduled for August. I don't think this ever ends once you've been through it.
I don't get on very often but do think about you March Warriors.... wonder how ginagina is doing?
((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) arnie
-
Arnie: So nice to see you pop by. Glad you are doing well. Gina popped by a while ago and I think she is doing well too. Keep in touch and hugs to you!
Chris: You had an MRI right? MRI's can certainly have false positives so I think the move to US and biopsy is very wise. And try to remember that the large majority of biopsies are B9. Did you get an appointment? Hugs and prayers

I go 4:00 today. Doc won't be in to do biopsy if needed...he is in surgery. I'll keep you posted!
-
Oh Chris I am so glad you are getting in today. We all know that the waiting really sucks.
Hugs

Hugs Chris, and I hope that your results are a big B9! I will be thinking of you and sending prayers your way.
Can't believe the NY trip is so close. I will miss all of you, I really was looking forward to it!
Francine - I am so glad you like your results, and that you are healing so quickly from the exchange. That's great news.My dad is hanging in there. He is at home now for a little while, but is not feeling that great. He has had 3 chemos, and is getting a 4th today. They are getting a little harder to tolerate at each one. Poor guy. I am heading over there shortly to look after him and give my mom another break. Thank you all so much for your continued thoughts and prayers.
It means the world to me.
Good luck Chris. Sending strength your way!!!!!
-
JDEKING: Thanks for the will wishes! I pray for you father's healing. It is much easier to go throught this process than watch a loved one deal with it. I'm sure your Mom and Dad appreciate the time you spend together.
-
Chris,....Hope all went well today. I do not believe that anything is conclusive except a biopsy in determining exactly what they see. I believe an ultrasound shows the difference between a solid mass and not. .
What happened today? Who did you get to see? Did you get the biopsy?
We are all so concerned..
Janine..stay strong and be there for your family.
Hugs,
Francine
