Geez Nancy! Maybe you're allergic to McDs in general. Should you let them know???
-
LOL, barbe. I only wanted a Shamrock shake, NOT the quarter pounder with cheese. Maybe they spiked my vanilla shake...
On another note, I sent my sister a vase of the "brand" that both of us collect. It was one I had a long time and thought she would like to have it, as I am moving and downsizing. It arrived broken, but I had insured it. Now the hassle of having the "appreciated" value confirmed.
When do you get rid of the monitor? I can only imagine how that is. I am thinking of changing my log in name to "drama queen"... just kidding. Have a super First Day of Spring. Hugs, Nancy
-
The monitor came off on Thursday...
-
That has to be a relief, barbe. Do you get results soon? Prayers for GOOD results and a plan to keep it that way.
-
Isn't spring too beautiful! I can no longer get down to garden or even clean up the yard but I long to put my fingers in the dirt and do something productive.
Nancy ... how many things are you allergic to? You poor little thing. As a youngster I had asthma anytime I had an upper respirtory infection or touched a rabbit. It is just miserable. I used to think that people who said they were allergic to cats were full of you know what until I developed this allergy. Now, I empathize when them! Are you okay now?
Nancy, I prefer to think of it as so busy your mind is racing ahead of your actions. It is funny but not at the time.
Faith ... that sounds absolutely fabulous. I can see you walking barefoot on the sand, the sun just beginning of a beautiful sunset.
Shiny ... I LOVE the way you love your children. There are so lucky to have you as their Mum.
-
Kathleen, I wear a Medic Alert bracelet or neck chain, depending on how "formal" I am dressed. I made stickers on the computer with my allergies, because there are too many to fit on most medical forms and I honestly cannot remember them all.
Chocolate and strawberries, egg whites, cat and dog dander, adhesive tape and scrub soap, tree and grass pollens, mold, dust, and a slew of medications, including most antibiotics. And I consider myself "healthy" for the most part...
-
OoooooOoooooo Nancy.
So glad that they saw you promptly. Do you always carry the pen?? So glad you were proactive.
Barbe let us know what you learn.
Shiny, certainly continue to hope and pray for your sorting out process...
Arnie thinkin of you.
Kathleen, hope you're mending after your tumble.
Hugs to one & all!!!!!
Hugs to all the bunnies. -
Finally finished all the funeral events ended everything with a huge banquet last night with all of her favorite dishes to celebrate her life. Al seems to be okay now.He is already thinking about his next birding trip.My response was I hope its near a beach.
Glad to hear the monitor is off Barbe let us know about the results.
Faith you need to rest.
Hi to all the rest of our dustbunnies.
-
Nancy ... too funny. With everything I have been experiencing and even though I have to check "yes" on medical history form, I still think of myself as healthy too! I keep a list of my family history, my medical history, my hospitalizations, injuries and prescription and non-prescription drugs. I am not going to continue to complete medical forms when I can just update my file. And you are right, the forms are not big enough!
Barbe ... please - what did the monitor show? How are you feeling?
Faith ... I'm okay just sore and bruised (mostly my ego)!
May today bring love, laughter and joy to you all.
-
Hey Bunnies!!! Hope all of you are having a wondermous Sunday afternoon.
Our bunny "holiday" is getting close!! Oh wait.....we're DUST bunnies aren't we?
Oh well, this bunny seems to be enjoying his day
-
I don't know but there is something decidedly different about that rabbit!
-
-
I think Easter is my favorite holiday!
-
Who wouldn't like a holiday that you celebrate with chocolate?
-
I thought this would be a great group for me because I'm in the "deep clean/organize" mode before my April 5th bmx. Trying to whip the house into shape before my loving sisters come in shifts to take care of me post-op. They're both emptynesters, one even has a house cleaner, plus a handyman. I work & have 2 teens (no housecleaner, no handyman, no cabana boy) still at home, so my house doesn't quite compare. Intellectually, I know my sisters don't care! But I still am getting worked up about this. Help me stop! I am planning to "go away" next week-end and not worry about my house. The kids' dad is taking them, plus the 2 dogs, so that I will be responsibility free. I intend to play for the week-end before gearing up for surgery. I should NOT feel guilty, right?
BTW, I love how this started out as housework support & has evolved into bunny photos & friendship. Puts housework where it should be on the priority list. Help me stop cleaning & organizing, ladies. I know part of it is trying to feel that I have control over something. But enough's enough!
-
Kathleen!! HAHAHAHAAHA I remember that one from last year!
-
Welcome Candy!!!! It's always good to have a new face (bunny) to join us.
First of all--------STEP AWAY FROM THE VACUUM CLEANER!!!
Put all dusting cloths as far away from you as possible!!!
Now, sit back and relax. Let everybody else take care of things!
Good luck!!
((((((((((hugs to all you bunnies today)))))))

-
((((((((((Mum))))))))))Will be thinking about you tomorrow!! Sure hope it's nothing!!

Oh, Mum. Will be in your back-pocket as you proceed to get more info and have the test results shed some insight on your world.
Please give us a report just as soon as you are able.
Candy. Welcome to our world of friendship -- where we do indeed keep the housework to a minimum. I just had a BILAT on 1/15, now a couple months out already.
I would suggest that rather than spending any amount of time cleaning/organizing, you treat yourself to a trip to the bookstore or library. Find some lovely distracting reading material for your post-surgery recovery. Probably nothing tooooo deep, fluffy and light are in order.
Several others in our bunny-crowd have also had the surgery, so you'll fit in well here. If you have any questions you want to ask, feel free. Or send me a PM (private message) and I can tell you my experience.
We are often zipping thru Indy to go here or there. I'll wave next time.
Hugs bunnies.

Welcome Candy! I see you have had some good advice already from some of my bunny friends. Housework is bad for you and can even be downright dangerous. I think it was Kathleen from this thread who once broke her foot tripping over a vacuum cleaner! We wouldn't want that to happen to anyone else, so please stay safe, look after yourself and avoid housework.
Mum I will be thinking about you tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.
Hugs to all you bunnies. xoxoxo
-
Candy,Welcome...and I agree with my fellow bunnies about stepping away from the vacuum cleaner.
Your job now is to concentrate of getting well and taking care of yourself so you are in the best position you can be before your operation. Your support team can take care of the rest and I have found that is what they want to do...it is one way they help you in your fight.
I am just 1 year out from the uni- mx and believe me things do get better.
Mum, Thinking of you often and praying for good news.
Barbe, Glad to hear you are rid of the monitor. When will you get your results?.
To all my other dust bunny friend, sending love and hugs to all.
Let's fill our lives with love, fun and friendship because our bc experience has taught us life is short and precious.

(((((((((((Coonie))))))))))) hey you dustbunny...how ya doin'? (((((((((((Faith)))))))))))) you still on the road somewhere???? ((((((((((Viv)))))))))))) glad to here your doing well...
Welcome Candy! I can testify that this is a great group of gals... they have stolen pieces of my heart and will always remain my dear friends!
I just brought hubby home from hospital....long story.... We're gonna take it easy the rest of the day and try to get some much needed rest. Hope you all have a blessed day!!!
Soooooooooooo looking forward to getting outside!!!! Last year I had to stay out of the sun because of chemo...this year...woo hoo!!!
-
((Mum)) Thinking about you. I hope your pain is just your way of dealing with the stress and the lump is scar tissue.
Candi~ Step away from the cleaning...go out and have fun....there will be plenty of time to get your house "clean". I had a bilaterial January 08 and have since had 5 reconstuction surgeries since. So any questions I would be happy to help, give my opinion or just sympathize with you.
I might actually get kicked off this thread again.
I participated in a Moms of Mulitple yard sale this weekend and went over to the sale with my odyssey filled including a stroller in the front seat and came home with a small rubbermaid bin of kids clothes. Not sure of the exact amount of $ that I made but it really felt good not to have all of that stuff in my house. Now I have a little bit of room in storage and I am sure I can fill it up VERY quickly.

Hi ladies My onc said I need a ct scan and a full body bone scan.I see him again in four weeks. He also said that ribcage pain is very common after radiation and that it could bother me for years. So I am crossing fingers and toes that my scans come back clean. This friday is my birthday so DH is trying to book a lastminute getaway to a beach somewhere. Not sure when or where yet.I am sure he is trying to distract me from worrying, but it is hard not to.
