The other women here mentioned walk, walk, walk it off, and that is what most articles suggest, too. Everything seems to say you can't just "spot reduce."
Seyla888, Don't think you'll find anywhere accepting donations...but holler if you do!
-
I always walk. Its helping me but that middle area is driving me nuts.
-
I was pretty good yesterday, stuck to mainly protiens and veggies, one small brownie to satisfy my sugaraholic tendancies. I did about four jogs up and down the driveway so hopefully will start to get rid of the belly fat. It's so disgusting!
Have a good day everyone.
-
hi everyone,
I had posted a while back ........that it is the brisk walking that gets rid of the belly fat......... not regular walking......... BUT.....even regular walking is better than not walking at all.
Good luck to all,
Pat

Went out to Joe's Crabshack for dinner last night. I had and 8 oz steak (which I shared with Dh) and shrimp with mango salsa on a bed of brown rice and fresh brocolli which I peppered and drizzled fresh lime juice over. Then after dinner we went on a long walk on the boardwalk. Oh, does it count if I only had 1/2 order of crab-stuffed mushrooms? (three to be accurate)
Tonight DH wants to go to Outback. Better choices, Meece, better choices.
-
I went out to dinner with my DD and my girl friend.
I cant say I sinned 100% but i did sin little bit. I had a great time. I had wine but no desserts.
Tomorrow I start walking and watching again.
-
I had pizza twice this weekend....I have sinned.
-
Crablegs, salad and roasted vegies with pineapple last night. I don't wanna know how bad that was!
-
(((((((((((((((((((((((((Meece))))))))))))))))))))))))
-
love having wine instead of dessert - wine is my favorite dessert. Pizza twice on the weekend sounds kind of good but I guess it was a sin. I sinned too and had one piece this weekend althought that I only had ONE piece was incredible for me. I'll keep telling myself today "must remember to E-LAB"!
Meece, Sounds pretty darn healthy to me - protien, fruits and veggies! Happy Birthday!
-
Thank you, Seyla. Everywhere I go, you've already been there puting up signs. I feel special!
I didn't mention the butter that came with the crab. I don't think I left any of that on the plate. Yes, on the plate. I managed to to tip the butter over and it spread all over my plate. We did do one winetasting yesterday, but I had DH split it with me. I am glad I did because they were 6 very generous pours.
-
Meece...as long as you used your butter politely shell fish is not really fattening is it?.
I know it doesnt help people with high cholesterol.
Suz.. I really enjoyed my day out yesterday. Wine is fruit right?
-
Trying to behave after sinning over the weekend, which is extra-hard because I'm extra-hungry today. And there's still most of a cake in my refrigerator. Feel free to stop by and enjoy a piece...I need to get it GONE!
Happy birthday, Meece!!!
-
Meece, coming by to wish you a very Happy Birthday and drop off this Cauli-cake.
I've got somthing more caloric for you on the Mid-Age thread...I heard birthdays were sin-free!)
-
Hope you had a fun Birthday weekend Carolinachick - hope the birthday cake was yummy.
-
Carolinachick, You had a birthday too? Wow! What an epidemic! Can you share that cauliflower with Meece? Looks like I have more "baking" to do at my "home" thread, so you can come by in just a bit to give me time to frost it. Shsssshhhh! I won't tell.
-
SweatySweet ahhh, come on in and just try and eat healthy during rads. It's the best thing for you. I for one didn't notice much in the change of my appetite during rads. Just needed my tiny glass of red wine at night.
Thank you all for the anniversary wishes. We had a great time and I only sinned a little. Okay it was a huge piece of cake. Perhaps you've seen Marietta diner on The Food Network. They have HUGE pieces of cake and pie. It took two days to eat, but it did have raspberries on it
Back to being good.
Happy Birthday all you Spring Time Babies !!!

Grilled Shrimp with salad
-
Mango and Avocado
-
Spinach with white beans and sauteed onions.
-
oh Shelia if we could only wave a magic wand and have those wonderful dishes magically appear when we are tempted with a more sinful treat...sigh...
-
Meece & Carolinachick ~ I am sorry for being late on your Birthday wishes. I hope you both had a beautiful day on your SPECIAL day.
Another hour workout this morning-burned 605 calories. I'm really liking my heart monitor watch. I bought a pedometer from Amazon so I can count steps & track distance, can't wait for that to come.
Ate much better today, cinnamon cereal with AI pill this a.m., broccoli dipped in 2 T lowfat dressing with 29 low-fat cheese-its for lunch & one bowl of chili for dinner. Two small sqs of dark chocolate & applesauce for dessert.
Sheila ~ That spinach with white beans & sauteed onions looks good enough to eat. What?? I can?? I will have to look for a recipe. The recipe on top with the veggies looks wonderful.
Good night everyone!
-
Thank you, Valjean.
Well, the three days of birthday celebration is finished and I am ready to buckle down and take off what I most likely put on. I don't think I am going to bein the losing column this week. I canhope though. We did do a lot of walking.
-
I need my butt kicked. I have been slacking after a great start
I was getting ready for a huge sale (gets rid of my kids clothes) and now I am finishing up my clients stuff, getting ready for a charity give away (I am a photographer), and packing because we leave tomorrow for FL. So exercise has taken a backseat while I run around like a crazy fool. I have not ate horrible but not the best and I will am going up and down with the 3lbs
I know that I am gaining muscle because I can feel the differenced with the muscle fatigue. Okay so after tomorrow I am getting back on track.....with the exercise and hopefully the eating will follow.
-
Jaimieh.....Have a nice time in Florida.
Are you gonna diet when you are on vacation?
-
Chicken Salad made with fat free sour cream and stuffed in an avocado shells for lunch. Can't wait. Is it noon yet?
-
PauldingMom....if you are up since 6AM then its almost lunch time.
What is Avocado Shells?
-
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
PauldingMom - Can you bring some of that chicken salad to me? I'm right next to you in South Carolina. My tummy is rumbling and it sounds delicious!
I'm glad it's just Tuesday, because I'm up a pound from Friday. I'd like to at least be at my same weight this week. My exercising has slacked off and I need to get motivated to head back to the gym.
-
Okay ladies, let's get back on the wagon and bring those numbers down. Start today. Even if we all have a bad week this week, it's not an excuse to stop. Let's go!
