Billynda,  that guy at the gas station is in a fog.  He has no clue

Beverly,  Women do tend to come out with the moronic statements.  Like yesterday my cousin in law says to me, so it must be horrible being sick all the time.  So when are you going to finish with the reconstruction so you'll start feeling better about yourself.  Duh.  I wanted to gouge her eyes out.  Men are stuped too.  They ask how I'm feeling and stare at my chestUndecided

Kerry, I love your hair in your pictureKiss

    Hi ladies....

So, about a year ago, when the hair was just coming in...and all summer long I always got the sweeter than sweet "Your hair is Soooo cute!!!!!!!" I got so fed up with it that I started to respond with "Thanks! Virginia Mason Hospital, Second Floor, ask for Chemo!" (Got some appropriately horrified responses in the football stands for that one.... oh well.... they made the comment, they got to know how I feel!) Another man told me that he liked my hair better "the other way." I told him that I would be sure to consult with my oncologist about that. I'm not sure if anyone got it, it just made me feel good! Ha!

And BTW, I am about a year "grown in", my last bit of chemo-curl was just cut off, and the hair looks good! The gal that cuts my hair has always picked up the "chemo-hair" off the floor, and shown me how weirdly damaged and porous it is. Full of chemicals. It helps me now, to begin to feel healthy again.

One baby step at a time.....
