Zometa #2 today

Well, I am getting my second Zometa this evening. Hoping it is easier the second time around.

I'm a little nervous, it seems so long since I have had anything done.

    Kerry I love your new pic.

    Second........

    the zometa infsuions get better...and better. The only thing that bothers me, is the nurses trying to get my vein. ouch! My veins arn't easily seen...

    I have my 5th infusion the end of June, your post reminds me to get my perscription from my onc in a few weeks.

    I do the Aredia, another bisphosphonate, and the first one was just awful...the second was way better and they have gotten increasingly better to the point where after #7, few, if any issues - the trick I learned is guzzle water - a couple days going in, drink at least two bottles at the time of the infusion and for a couple days after.  The bisphosphonates are hard on the kidneys and the water helps to get it moving through easier.  It does the same job, just the body doesn't have to work as hard.  Now at stage iv - I get them once a month.

    Well, so far so good! the nurse took 4 tries to get a vein (!!), but other than that it all went well.

    This morning I am feeling nothing from it, so hope that continues.

    Hi Kerry....ouch!!! 4 tries!!! That is difficult. But, I'm glad it went well once it got going. I'm  hoping you won't have any s/e's.
