American Idol Season 9

Looking forward to next week show. It's hard to remember the hundreds of faces in the auditions. Much easier to start with 24. I was sad the girl (Angel?) didn't make it who had tried 3 times and then the young guy at the end of last nights show who cried like a baby when he didn't make it. Let the show begin! Jean

Now I'm changing my pick---my top 3 so far this season are: Crystal, Siobhan, and Aaron. I think the ones to go tonight may be Haeley, Didi, Tim, and John

Crystal has a beautiful voice. And I really like her personality. So far Im staying with her all the way. And 16 year old AAron? not sure of the names yet.

Is anyone else feeling that AI so far this season is just not very exciting? I think I am feeling this way after last season with Adam Lambert being such a great entertainer. Also, Paula's absence is very noticeable, the judges are just kind of blah.
I really don't have any favorites yet.
Hoping things get more exciting.
So, let me know if you agree with me or not.
-
I think after season 7 and having 2 wonderful finalists, David Arch... and David cook which I cried with him that night, I lost interest. I still watch it.
I like Ellen but she doesn't really fit in this show.
-
I got 2 out of the 4--(Haeley and John), but not sorry to see Jermaine go. I thought Michelle was good and should've stayed longer. Poor Haeley--she was awful!
I think Ellen is hilarious!

Finally, tonight is the official start of the top 12. Really was disappointed to see Lilly go last week. She was a Colorado girl.
Anyway, hoping things get a little more exciting starting tonight.
-
I was surprised to see Lilly go. I thought she brought something unique. I think Tim will go next - he was awful last night. It's not as exciting as last season - I thought Adam really brought something special to the show. Siobhan and Crystal are good and so are Mike and Aaron. Paula is definitely missed ... it seems like Kara is flirting a lot with Simon but it's not particularly interesting. Ellen is holding her own.
-
So far I am not impressed with any of the contestants.
-
HRF and RegulJ
You both expressed my thoughts exactly. I think because Adam was so exciting last season that this season is dull. I have noticed the flirting going on too. Wondering if Kara is trying to fill the void of Paula and Simon bickering by flirting. Kara does seem to give some good advice to the contestants. And Ellen adds the humor.
-
Definitely thought Paige or Tim would leave tonight, not Lacey. This year is not measuring up to last year at all--coursse, how could anyone even come close to Adam?
Anne
-
Loved seeing David Cook rock it tonight! I could have done without the other entertainment. I was surprised to see Lacey go before Paige or Tim! I'm hoping Lilly get's brought back during a wild card week, and maybe even Alex. My faves are Crystal, Lee, and Siobhan! I like Mike, Aaron and Casey also. I think it may take some time to equal the excitement of Adam! Ellen just makes me smile and laugh!
-
blah-----could they actually bring someone back this late in the competition? I thought "wildcard week" was something they did before getting to Hollywood? (that's how Clay Aiken got called back I think)
Anne
-
I am jumping in late and have to agree with most of you that this is such a boring season compared to last year. Any guess's on who will be the "American Idol" this year? I think it will be Siobhan or Chrystal, I am not loving any of the male voices this year. I don't feel any wow factor.
Linda
-
Yeah I think the "wild card" is done early in the season, before the final 12 are chosen.
OmahaGirl...glad your jumping in with us. My guess for the winner this year is the same as yours, Siobhan or Chrystal. I do like Chrystal better.
Anyone else want to share who they think may win?
-
Chrystal and Chrystal. The only thing is lacking is her connection with the audience.
This show is funny someone might loose it just because of her or his personality.
Siobhan has to stop screaming from the top her lungs every week.
Casey is so cute and friendly.
I'm staying with Chrystal.
Sheila
-
I also agree that it will be Chrystal. But last year I figured Adam was the for sure winner and that Kris Allen would be knocked out early ....... so you never know.
-
ah darn about the wild card week already happening! Lilly should have gone on tour! I agree that Chrystal should be the winner. She indicated doing something different next week so I'm looking forward to that!
-
Lilly did have a unique voice. I wish she wouldn't have left so early. Like you hrf, I would have sworn that Adam would have won, too. Just as you said, "You never know!"
-
I think it will be Crystal or Siobhan, with big Mike in the top 3. (I really think Tim should've left, not Paige! She did so much better when she had to sing at the very end.
Anne
-
I can not believe that Tim did not get kicked off! Every season it seems there is one contestant that performs poorly, but they somehow get enough votes to stay in for quite a few rounds. Tim is the one this season.
-
Remember Sanjaya
-
Poor Siobhan, she had a difficult night, but I still really like her and think she will do well. But now I predict it may be Crystal first place, then Lee, then Mike or Siobhan in the top 3 spots. I can't believe Tim is still hanging on-----I think he can't beleive it either!!!!! He should have gone home long ago. I felt so badly for Didi.
Anne
-
It was a good night for all the contestants.
I have to vote for 2 tonight.
Crystal and Casey.
-
Even though Tim was a little better tonight, I still think he should go. He's just not of the same caliber as the rest of them. I think it will be either him or Andrew.
anne
-
I thought Casey was awesome last night. Crystal was great, too. Even though Tim performed better I also think he should be the one to go tonight.
-
That was awesome that they saved mike--he really did a great job and deserves to stay. Tim has got to go!!!! Did I hear them say the theme next week was going to be songs by Adam Lambert? will he be on next week?
Anne
-
Anne-- Actually Adam will be on to mentor the contestants. ---the first former contestant to do so..
In addition, he will sing- Whatdoya Want From Me ?
Think Tim should go as well but Vote for the Worst is campaigning for him and their voting managed to keep Sanjaya on the show for quite a while.
-
I loved, loved, loved.....Adam being on Idol last night. He did a great job mentoring. Tonight will be interesting, two going home and Adam will perform.
-
Ellen had Tim on her show today; he sang "Halleluia" (don't really know how to spell it!) and did a really good job, better than what he did on Idol. I actually thought he was going to end up staying longer than Kasey and Aaron.
