I had a great time too last nite, loved meeting everyone and look forward to next month's get together! The place was amazing as well!
-
Yeah, hopefully I'll be able to make it to the next one, I just joined the facebook page. Hubby works nights so with 2 little ones, it isn't the easiest thing for me to be out during the week, so it really was a bummer about this week because he was on days. Oh well..
Amy, I do remember you, glad to hear you're finally done with treatment
2 more months for me and I'll be a 1 year survivor
Carppoling sounds good, especially for a long drive.
-
Good morning everyone - I had a great time and thank you again to each of you for being there and helping lift my spirits!
I apologize for the noise level this time, it seems that there was a hockey game that started at 7 and since it is a hockey bar...well,......I did not realize until after we were there that there was a game and that apparently hockey is a bigger sport than I knew. BUT I have checked and there is apparently not a game when we come together in April.
As the weather gets warmer we can begin to think about other venues, dates, and maybe do some family day things - but never fear, no matter where we go we will always have a signature pink drink!
Looking forward to more times together and thank you again for helping me so tremendously!
-
It was wonderful meeting you all the other night....wish I had gotten there earlier. Love the pictures. Looking forward to next time. Had my LAST chemo treatment yesterday....YIPPPEEEE!

Congratulations Christy! What a milestone for you!! Hope you are through the SEs and feeling better soon. And I know for me, that the last time was great, because I didn't feel like I was getting better just to have to do it again. So enjoy being DONE!!!

Kimberly - I CANNOT find the group on FB. Can you give the instructions written for the facebook-challenged one more time? When I type in the string you posted, it brings me to the thread on the Komen site, not on FB. Helllllllllppppp....
Thanks
Amy

Hi Amy - not a problem. If you are already on Facebook, you just have to go to search and type in Breast Cancer Babes of Maryland.
If not, use this link: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=344902452920&ref=ts
Hope this helps - let me know if not - jordan and I are working on the website this weekend and will be setting up a direct link from the site to the facebook page
-

Oh, I was forgetting. I'm a maybe. It conflicts with a dog walking group I've joined, so I have to decide ... walk or eat? Or maybe, if it's not too far away from the walk site (I've never been there) and if folks are coming at 4, maybe I can do both!!! Oh, wait. Dogs can't sit in the car if it's hot. Durn it.
-
Wow - I am so sorry everyone - I completely dropped the ball on this one and it was not even on my radar. I do not know where time and my mind went.
I am going to be there and thank you all for reminder. I promise to be "on my job" next time - we may have a small turnout tonight but we will have fun.
See you all in a few hours.
-
It will be 630pm before I can get there.
-
I am going to get there at 4 in case anyone else comes that early - so I will see you when you get there. Cant wait to see you!
-
Hi Everyone,
I forgot to put this on my calendar...sorry. I have an exercise class with my sister after work. Tomorrow I have my port removed. Please let me know when the next gathering is and have fun.
Christy

Dang (okay really I said worse) I can not make it tonight
My kids have had practice EVERY night this week and tonight they have 3 practices...grrr.... I wish it wasn't at 2 fields...
So make sure whoever goes comes back and let's us know when we are meeting next month. Have fun.
-
Darn it, I remembered my dog walk but forgot to see if I could hit Baltimore beforehand. Oh well, I hope you all had a great time!!!
-
This is my first posting. I live in Baltimore as well and would love to meet all of you!! Are you getting together anytime soon again? Wish I would have logged on earlier...looks like you had a great time!!
-
I am SOO envious that I haven't been able to meet with you awesome ladies yet! It seems like each month so far (since I've found you) I've had some sort of appointment to go to, and actually tonight went to the wake for the MOCO police officer that died this past weekend in the line of duty---my hubby has been on the force for over 22 years now, and it NEVER gets easy seeing one lost in the line of duty. Officer Alyala had a wife, a small child AND TRIPLETS on the way. Unbelievable. I always try to remind myself, as bad as I have it, someone else has it worse. For those of you who pray, please keep this family in your prayers.
Take care all,
Sharon

When's the next one??? I have a revision surgery on monday the 19th, but hopefully will be up and ready to go by the next gathering.
-
We are shooting for sometime in May, at the Blue Hill Tavern. It's a little pricier, but more quiet and more of a "restaurant" feel. The appetizers are large portions and a meal could easily be made from them. There is also free valet parking (just tip the valets).
Here is the website www.bluehilltavern.com
Hopefully Kim will post the details about a date/time soon.

Private room sounds awesome! I am almost def going to be there. Trying to get 2 other ladies to come with me.
Thanks so much for finding a place that will accomodate us better.
Did you read the article I posted on the facebook page? What did you think? -
Yay!!!! Really looking forward to seeing you again - the manager is really cool and is another guy that is willing to work with us and just could not be better -
I had originally talked about the Blue Hill Tavern but felt it was really more pricey and as we are getting some more attention and members, wanted to bring it up with more folks - Geckos has great drinks, good food and it is very reasonably priced -
Keep spreading the word - the more the merrier.
Also, I did read the article and found, like you, a lot of info that was terrific. I am printing it out and will make a few copies available at our GNO for anyone that wants it - Thanks so much for putting it up there.
