Thanks for the welcomes. June, yes I had 2 lumpectomies and a snb. I am scheduled to start radiation on the 23rd. Linda, nice to "meet" a neighbor.
I am not sure if I can make the lunch yet. On the weekends I have to help take care of my Mom who has Alzheimer's. I'll find out after this weekend when "I'm on duty" .
-
I had 2 lumpectomies also, to get cleaner margins because of DCIS in the same area as IDC. Both were tiny. Then I had rads now on Arimidex.
March 23rd is my 3rd cancerversary.
-
DEB, Happy 3rd cancerversary! Looking forward to seeing you again. Sue
-
-
Deb you are too cute and have way too much fun!
-
A week from today!!!
I have a short week too, taking Monday and Tuesday off.
-
My Dad is in the hospital right now has been since Friday. So far they have everything under control, his heart was going in and out of arrhythmia and they had to do a GI scope test to look into his stomach cause he was vomiting and there was bile and blood. They found a hiatul hernia and an ulcer, so the are giving him meds for that also.
-
Oh I hope everything turns out okay and I will be thinking of you! Yes I cannot wait, 6 day countdown....ha ha
-
Deb, I hope your Dad gets out of the hospital soon. It sounds like they found out what's causing his problems. Always something to worry about!
One week from today! yay!!
-
Deb, hope your Dad is better.
-
I have to expect the unexpected with him, after all he is 82 and not in the best of health. I just called the hospital and he is sitting in a chair have clear liquids. He will be on that for a day or so until they feel he can keep down solids.
He will go in rehab, probably the one in Westford, he has been there many many times.

Lorrie aka Morgan513 wanted me to post this:
So sorry for being out of touch! We have had troubles with our internet, etc., all week due to the flooding. The local schools were closed for two days! I've tried multiple times to get on breastcancer.org but I can't get in. Also, my internet is intermittent at best. We had a ton of power surges last weekend and I think it effected everything. I contacted Longhorn and they said that they do not take reservations but just that we can call about an hour before our arrival and they will accommodate us. I pressed them for a reservation and the girl said that they do not even have a reservation book. They just use call ahead seating. Can you post this for me? I'm not sure if I can make it tomorrow or not. It's been a weird week and we are still trying to play catch-up! Thanks, Lorrie
-
Ladies do you think we should plan this another time, it doesn't seem like too many women are coming? Just a thought?
-
June, every time something is planned in my opinion, several cannot make it at the last minute.
I hada big get to gether planned w coworkers.......8 of us.......and a couple gals cancelled so we rescheduled. It never happened! Finally , we planne another and a friend and I said that if NO ONE goes, we were gonna go anyway.
Deb and Susan, what do you think? I will go with the majority.
-
Hi, just replied to the email. Seems only 4 of us can make it. I was hoping for more (although I am happy to see you Sue, Deb and to meet you June).
-
