    I'm squishy!!!!!!!! but terribly smaller. I don't really mind however. Am I supposed to keep it compressed?

    KATSY - I had to wear a sports/surgical bra 24/7 for three weeks.  I thought I was smaller too, I peeked in my bra and thought AAAAHHHH MAN, this isn't good, but after they "dropped & fluffed" ( I think are the terms) I'm way bigger than I thought (my implants are 325cc silicone, and I'm a 32D).  Give it some time before you judge them.  It took a few months for mine to settle to where they are now.  PM me if you have any other questions.  Give it time sweetee.  HUGS, Dawn

    Katsy! Isn't it great to be free of the TE's! Yippee Squishy for YOU!

    I woke up convinced I was flat chested with 800cc installed. I am still in my surgical and sports bras for another week.

    Call your PS and ask any questions that come up! Mine says no under-wire for 3 weeks, and a friend's say under-wire 24/7 for 3 months... best to check with your DR.

    There is a thread called Exchange City and all we talk about is implants, TE's and nipples...surgery and recovery tips are all over the place.

    Recover comfortably!

    Katsy - Congrats on the new foobs!  I remember wearing the tight bra for a while as well, but can't remember the specifics.  Rest up and recover.  Great meeting you this weekend.  I've already passed on your fiance's website to an artist friend of mine and have bookmarked your blog!  :-)

    Hello NoVa Ladies -

    I have a friend who has something cancerous, she knows it's in her liver but she's just been sent to the Oncologist so it's very early for her. Probably not breast cancer, maybe colon / ovarian that has spread. 

    She's been sent to someone at Arlington Hospital. Are those of you who go there happy? They seem to be associated with an Oncology group in Fairfax.

    Ugh, you guys won't believe this.

    Apparently something happened during my surgery. A nerve was injured, nicked, or something, and now my left wrist is paralyzed!! I've been so depressed about this and haven't been able to really blog about it since it's difficult to type.

    I just want to throw my hands up into the air and scream "Whhhhhhyyyyyyy?"

    Now I'm afraid to go in for nipple surgery. Such awful luck. 

    My oncologist and I are both uneasy about having an EMG done since it's on my "bad side". Last thing I need is a lymphedema cherry to top this foobie sundae off with. 

    Stinky brachial plexus nerve injury. Yell 

    I hope you ladies are doing better than I am. And this is going to sound odd, but when on all fours, do your foobs hang like hamburgers? Mine do, it makes me laugh each time I see it. Ah...

    katsy, I have brachial plexopathy, so I understand a lot of what you are going thru.   IF you want the name of a hand specialist, I recommend Dr. Silversmith in the Mt. Vernon Hospital area.  

    You do not want an EMG, but they can do a doppler, which is totally NON invasive.   It will show the blood flow and perhaps give some indication of the cause.   MY opinion - I am not trying to give medical advise, just MY experience.  

    Do not lift, push, pull, tug, twist or anything much with that hand/wrist.  Baby it as much as you can.

    I am sad to hear you have nerve damage. I don't even know what an EMG is. Nancy sounds like she knows what you are talking about.

    On a different note... What the heck were you doing on all fours? LMAO hamburgers???  I think I am going to have to go check mine out!

    Hi Cellardoor & Binney4!

    I missed the luncheon on 2/28 but am still considering myself "part of the gang". I finished chemo in early August and I have the most RIDICULOUS head of curly black hair ....  I look like a muppet!  The wig can't stay on much longer, its not happy with this craziness going on underneath it. Can anyone recommend a good stylist who specializes in very short, very curly hair? Has anyone else been through this dilemma? I'm not sure how to add a new post to our forum so I'm sorry if this is not the right place to write. If it isn't please let me know so I can be more efficient and reach more readers!!!  Thanks, Regina

    Regina, there is a HAIR thread.  In  the search box, just put hair and you will find the links.

    I had very naturally curly (short) hair before and it came back the same.   I am in Alexandria and love my stylist.  you can pm me if you like.   She cut mine very short  just before the chemo fall out and has coaxed me thru the regrowth.     

    The way I found her, was passing by a salon in the mall and saw a lady with lovely hair coming out and asked who did it.   This was after 3 cuts that I hated at other places.  

    Isn't the warm up wonderful?   And we change the clocks this weekend, I think.   One hour ahead.    Hugs for everyone.    Nancy

    Krista in Vienna gave me an awesome short 'do' when I did the proactive cut-it-short-before-it-falls-out before chemo.  I got tons of compliments.  I'm heading back to here as soon as I get enuff hair back to cut.  Hair Cuttery at 315 W. Maple Ave in Vienna.  She's also been very supportive as I've gone thru all the treatments.

    My favorite gal is Shala at Hair Cuttery in the Landmark area.   Interesting that our favs are both at Hair cuttery.   I did try a couple of "upscale" salons, but they did not do it half as good.

    Hi Ladies.  Thought I would wiegh in on the hair topic.  For my chemo cut, I wanted to donate my long hair to Locks of Love.  Through them, I found Antonia Galluzzi at Bristles and Shears in Sterling.  It was worth the drive for me.  First, she cut and styled my hair for FREE because I was donating and she has a long history of supporting Locks of Love.  And, I got the cutest shortie I had ever had (I almost always have long hair).  I told her I would certainly be back when I had hair again, and that I would spread the word about how good she is AND the charity she supports.  They are located at 22237 Shaw Rd.  Phone number is 703-421-9460.  They are tucked away from the main roads so call for vey specific directions (my GPS got me lost).

    Hey there everyone!!!

     We had scheduled our next luncheon for April 25 @ noon.  I'm looking for suggestions for a restaurant in the Centreville/Fair Oaks area as that seems to be central to most of us.  I called Sweetwater, they can seat us at 2 tables next to each other but the tables are bolted down so they cannot put them together, didn't know if we wanted to do that (remember those of you who went last time).  Let me know if you have some ideas of places you like.   Looking forward to seeing you all again.  If you could also, start to give me RSVP's, so I can get a head count.  Thanks.  HUGS, Dawn
