I live in Hampstead, but am coming from Nun;s Island at that time - There is a Starbucks on Monkland or a Second Cup on Queen Mary, both are a block in from Decarie. There is also a Java U on Queen Mary.
-
Monkland sounds great, it's easy to get to.
Marie
-
Monkland is good for me too. What about Yo?
Terri
-
Should we say March 22nd at 1:30, at Starbucks on Monkland.
Terri: You said you had a doctor's appointment, is this too early or is a different day better for you?
-
Hello Ladies:
I have really been struggling lately with my memory and brain function in general. I think it is a combination of the chemo, anesthesia and sudden menopause. I have been very forgetful and getting mixed up in my dates. It is really frustrating because this is very unusual for me as I have always been a very organized person and have always had a great memory. Anyway all this to say I can not make it on the 22nd in the afternoon I have an appointment at 1:30PM. :-((((
(I am free on the 23rd except from 11:00 to 1:00, free all day on the 24th and free on the 25th after 11:00. (this is for sure I have my calender in front of me)
Sorry about the confusion, I was really looking forward to meeting you all.!!!

Hi Ladies,
Sorry, have been busy working and sick with a cold. long story...
I am actually coming in from Blainville (another "B" but up north).
Monkland Starbucks sounds fine. Not sure now about dates now I have a fitness assessement at the Welness center on March 23 from 11:30 until? So mayb I could make 3 PM and the 22 is still fine for me too.
Looking forwarding to meeting,
Yo
-
BTW, welcome back Terri!
-
I have an appointment on the 22nd at 9:30 at the JGH and should be finished in lots of time to make 1:30. Yo and Kerry can make it also but since Marie can't, maybe we should postpone to another day when we can all make it??? Just a thought....
If you still want to go ahead, I'm still in for the 22nd.
Terri
Edited to add: Sorry Yo for the error, another "B" but not quite in the same area... And thanks, it's always nice to be back home!
-
We could try for a day when we could all make it. I would love to meet everyone. There are only 4 of us, right? The problem is, I am out of town from the 23rd-28th, back in town and then gone again from the 31st-April 10. Is April too far away - or even the end of next week, the 19th?
I'm otherwise very flexible - so whatever works best for you all.
-
Since Marie and Sylvia can't make it on the 22nd, I say we move it to April sometime when we'll all be able to go. How about the 14, 15 or 16th of April?
Terri

Hello all,
I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and was really disappointed that I am not available on March 22 or 23 but April 14th would work for me. I am not sure yet if I will be available on the 15th or 16th of April . I am expecting a visit from a director at work and he has not confirmed yet on what day he is coming .
take care ladies!
Sylvia

Hi Guys,
I am looking at my calendar right now (and this time I am looking at the right month :-). I am free all day on the 14th and the 15th but need to be home by 3:00PM and am free on the 16th except from 11:00 to 1:00 and still need to be home by 3:00. Sorry, I hope I did not make you guys change plans just for me but it will be nice to meet Sylvia too.
Hope you are all doing well !
Marie

I'm free on the 14th all day.... Kerry?, Yo?
-
Kerkle:
Are you not having your exchange and hysterectomy on April 12th ? If so we should really try and meet before.
Marie
-
Hi,
April can work for me but I may be starting radiation after April 18th ish. No dates yet. Kerkle, what works for you? I will chime in after.
This Thursday I have my last chemo and tomorrow I go for a fill. Not looking forward to either but will be happy to be done with chemo. It has been a looooooong haul!!
Have a good evening ladies,
Yo
-
I am free on the 14th. My hysterectomy/exchange surgery was moved to April 28th, so I can meet on that day. Anytime after 12 is great for me.
Looking forward!! Should we make a time and place now?
-
Looks like it's the 14th. That'll be great since we'll all be able to make it...Kerry, Marie, Sylvia, Yo and me. Anyone else from the Montreal group is welcome to come too!
Since Kerry can't make it till after 12, let's say 1:00 at the Starbucks on Monkland?
Yo: So glad for you that your chemo will be over soon. I'm doing a happy dance for you! I hope your fill goes well also. I guess as long as Dr D doesn't put too much in at one time you should have minimal pain
Sylvia: Nice seeing you again today!
Terri
-
Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Nice to read some positive things.
April 14th, 1pm at Starbucks on Monkland - great!
Looking forward!
-
HI All !
I will be there 1pm Starbucks on Monkland on April 14th. So glad that everyone could make it. Really looking forward to meeting everyone!
Take care

Hi Ladies,
Sounds great! I'm looking forward to seeing you all there.
Terri, no fill. I'm done! I waited 3 hours unfortunately to hear the news but still am happy not to be in pain. Dr. D. said I am inflated enough. I guess I need to start researching implants now for after radiation. I think it will be 4-6 months after radiation. So I will have some questions for you later if your patience holds out.
And tomorrow is the last chemo day!! YAY. I cannot believe it is finally here. Progress I guess.
Have a great day ladies!
Yo

The 14th sounds great - I'm marking it in my calendar now :-) It will be nice to meet all of you.
YO: Good luck tomorrow, the last day of chemo is quite a relief, it makes all the side effects easier to handle as you know it's for the last time YAY !!!!
Have a nice day !!
Marie

Yo: I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding implants. Are you happy with your TE size now? Remember that your implants will not look anything like the TE's and it will take more cc's than you have in your TE's to get the same projection. I've included a link below to the breast implant 101 thread on this site. Deborah "Whippetmom" really knows her stuff and I suggest you contact her and ask any questions you may have. She's very knowledgeable and helpful. There's also a thread called Exchange City and I highly suggest you read the content - it's very informative.

I'm so happy for you that tomorrow will be your last day of chemo. I can only imagine what a relief that is... YOU GO GIRL !
Have a great day everyone! I'm going to go for a nice long walk in the sun with my hubby and get myself some Vitamin D!
See you all on the 14th !
Terri

Thanks ladies!
I feel pretty good and am just a little tired so I will consider that a good chemo. So glad it is over with.
It will be great to meet in person. The odd thing about this whole BC thing is I have met some wonderful people I would otherwise never have met. So the good with the bad!
Have a good weekend!
Yo

I got called from the hospital yesterday...my surgery was switched back to the 12th. April 12th, so I will be unable to meet at Starbucks. Don't cancel for me, when you are together, arrange a second date and I will be at the second meeting!
-
Kerry, that's great news but I'm sorry we won't be seeing you. We'll be sure to set up another reunion so that we can all be there and I wish you the best of luck on the 12th! Let us know how everything goes. Hugs and prayers coming your way!
Terri
-
Kerry,
Great news about the surgery but sorry we won't see you this time. Definitely next time.
Hugs and prayers for all the best with your surgery.
Take care all!
Yo
