Just checked, we're up to 4/100 already.

Yesterday was gorgeous, today near 60's. Chance of rain tomorrow (30%), chance of rain Thursday - thunderstorms (90%), chance of rain Friday - thunderstorms (90%). My roofing contractor told me last week, weather permitting he would get my roof on Thurs or Fri
. Looks like it will be next week before I get the roof

Yesterday was beautiful! I can smell spring!
Edited to change "small" to "smell!"

Hi Ladies,
It's suppose to be 65 here today. Yay! I'm so tired of winter and snow!
Susie
-
After such a beautiful Sunday, yesterday was cloudy, gray and blah. I look forward to pretty days in a row.
-
Almost 60 degrees today, yesterday, Sunday AND Saturday! Most of the snow is gone (boy have I got a mess to clean up in the yard) and much of the mud is drying and less like quicksand. There is hope for spring yet!
Does everyone realize that we turn clocks ahead this coming weekend? It's just getting so it's light when I get up in the morning, and now it will be dark again--yuck.
-
NM -- that is the only upside of snow -- everyone's lawn is beautiful.
-
In the 70's today. Gorgeous today. We are going to SC for 5 days on Saturday. Supposed to play golf. Can't wait to have beautiful warm weather.
-
No clue what Atlanta was like today - was in meetings from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm! BUT, I made it through the day without collapsing. I couldn't have done a day this long even a month ago. Progress is being made in my recovery.
Anyway, the little weather bug on my computer showing the temp in Michigan says it's still 46 degrees and it's almost 10 at night. I hope the snow is all melted when I get home on Thursday.
Have a lovely evening everyone - I'm now going to go collapse into bed!
-
We got 8/100 from that rain last night. I don't know what to expect except the mountain passes to the East were closed due to snow today, and I make the trek to my PS tomorrow, through the pass to the South. Cross your fingers is is open and we get through.
-
Hi Meece, hope you made it to your appt. Suzette, I'm going to Las Vegas in April for a work related trip. I tried a trip like that a year ago and missed a week of work when I got home because I was completely undone. I'm going to pace myself this year. We have reached 77 degrees today. Just stepped outside at work to feel the warmth. It enveloped my body and I feel like spring is here.
-
Oh Mary - 77 sounds so wonderful and warm!!! I can't wait until Michigan gets that warm (in June or July). I'm planning on going into work on Friday (have been going non stop since Sunday) but have a feeling I'll leave early and will be useless this weekend! Have fun in Las Vegas next month.
Meece, hope you made it to your appt. - hope the awful "S" word allowed unhindered passage!
-
No problem at all getting to my appointment. three hours on the road, but made it in plenty of time. PS took quite a bit of time to discuss things. I got about 30 minutes of one on one time. We enjoyed a couple of side trips on the way home, and got home around 5:00 pm. 11 hours, I am beat!
-
Meece--glad you had a good and productive trip!
Suzwes--I'm with you. Frost on the ground this morning is just too depressing. I want SPRING!
Mary--I'm jealous, we won't see 70 degree days for another couple of months. Grrrr.
27 degrees this morning, frost on everything, Snookie's outdoor water bucket is frozen up again. Not just iced over, frozen to the bottom. All 5 gallons. At least it's sunny.
-
Snow is almost all gone - yea!!!!!!!!!! Temperatures were at least 66 degrees yesterday. I spent a hour soaking up Vitamin D.
-
It is in the 70's, raining and under a tornado watch. Ah Spring weather.
-
cool (temps in the 50's) and overcast, showers off and on today, tomorrow and saturday. Monday - Wednesday looks good to get my new roof, temps in the 60's and limited to no chance of rain.
Sheila
-
Almost 50 during the day today, going to drop back to the 20's again tonight. Hopefully tomorrow will be warm enough to take Snookie for a nice long walk. I really need to get my butt (and gut, and thunder thighs, and everthing else) moving again.
-
NH, no matter where we live, I feel the same way. The chemo spread of my butt and thighs continues. Must exercise:)
-
Still in Atlanta. I guess the severe weather in the mid section of the states delayed and then cancelled our flight. I'm in a yukky hotel near the airport. It's been an exceptionally long day - hoping the weather is better tomorrow and I can get home, and get my stuff in my suitcase, and stop feeling sorry for myself. I didn't feel this sorry for myself when I was diagnosed and going through treatment for heaven's sake. What wrong with me????
-
suzwes, nothing's wrong with you. You are NOT at home, you do NOT have your stuff, you are stuck in a YUKKY hotel, and have uncertain travel plans. Feeling sorry for yourself is perfectly normal under the circumstances. Besides, no one is telling you to "be strong" or "think positive" about the travel problems like they do about bc. It's socially accpetable to be whiney about travel problems. Have a wonderful whine, endulge in being in a totally ugly mood, and drink adult beverages. You'll be fine once you get home.
-
Its raining ... I believe when I requested rain to wash away the snow I meant while the snow was on the ground!
-
Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous with blue skies, but it was still cold. I hear it will be cold and possibly wet this weekend. Just perfect because I have an outdoor meeting to run tomorrow!
-
63 degrees and finall stopped raining. Suzette, I hope you have made it home by now. I agree with NM, you had every reason to feel sorry for yourself. It sucks when we want to get home and can't. Home has been the one safe place for us for a long time. We have risked venturing out and enjoyed it, but when it is time to go home, it is time to go home.
Going to SC tomorrow. Will be cool, but I plan to just rest, read and relax.
-
What wonderful idea! I want to talk about the weather and not think about Wednesday and my upcoming surgery. It is currently 33 degrees (4:30 am) and will rain hard all weekend. Yikes, maybe I don't want to talk about the weather! It sounds like a good weekend for some serious couch time and mindless movies with dh. Have to keep the mind occupied. Hope to get to know some of you better.
Nancy
Oh, whoops, Boston, MA, area.
-
Welcome, Nancy! Central Maine for me, currently 22 degrees, I won't see the rain until later this afternoon or evening, tomorrow is supposed to be a real mess. I'd like to get some yard work done while the son is out but the ground is still frozen. Oh well. I've got lettuce, spinach and morning glory seeds started on the sun porch, that gives me some home for spring.
Don't for get to turn the clocks ahead tonight, ladies!
-
Nancy, welcome. We do like to talk about weather and flowers here.
We had wicked thunderstorms here last night starting about the time I was leaving wally world. Storms have left the area and looks good for the rest of the weekend. I live in Northwestern North Carolina. I may get my new roof put on the house Monday
.

Most of last week we had very pleasant weather. Last night and this morning we are having wind and rain. several times I was awakened by the noise of things flying around I thought. When I came downstairs I finally identified the noise - a piece of siding is hanging off the side of the house and everytime the wind blows it bangs it into the side of the house. Who do you call to fix it? Anyone know?
-
Welcome, Nancy.
We were supposed to have rain between 6pm last night and 8am this morning. So far nothing! Not good because I am supposed to hold an outdoor meeting at 10 this morning. Yesterday was beautiful with temps about 70 and blue skies. This morning is grey and breezy.
-
I'm writing from the comfort of my kitchen table in my warm and cozy home
I think I know terminal C of the Atlanta airport very well, especially the Samuel Adams bar! The plane took off 2 1/2 hours late yesterday but it took off - very rocky ride over the south and the storms but as soon as the flight attendants started the drink cart, my seat mate and I had our money ready (I had just met her on the plane and we were both hanging on for dear life on the plane) for an adult beverage, actually almost everyone in my area of the plane had a drink - it was turbulant! Thanks for the sympathy NM and Mary, quite ashamed of myself for that melt down now that I'm home safe!
We have 45 degrees and rain - I think the same for tomorrow and then once the work week begins on Monday, it's supposed to be sunny and in the 50's!!
Welcome Nancy. Kathleen, too bad we don't live closer to each other, my hubby has a business that does odd jobs and remodeling - the siding fix is right up his alley! hope you can get it fixed soon.
