Kerry THANKS!!!! That festival sounds yummy!! if you got any recipes, feel free to share! I love maple flavor ah heck--I love food LOL!!! I've joined Weight Watchers @ work, and lost 4.4 lbs (initially lost 5lbs but gained .6 back after celebrating with vodka and cranberries.
Apple--BIG HUGS!!! You're gonna be a hair keeper!!! Besides, you're our friend, and "sister" and we're keeping you anyway you are!!! Right girls?????
Jamieh--That's great that you've been cooking new things!! Share some recipes if you want. I've got an idea--how bout we start a recipe exchange amongst us ? We'll email each other different recipes--sound good?? Gotta have some fun for a change, right?
Michele- it's possible you may get your cycle back, med onc said that with me too--you and I are same age. I'm having a brain lapse for a minute here, but if I'm remembering correctly since my chemo started last year Aunt Flo visited me 2 or 3 times at most -I was getting nervous because my understanding was having Aunt flo with an estrogen positive tumor was dangerous, but it's not as dangerous as I thought.. I still have to let doctor know if I get a period then he'll regulate the tamoxifen as needed.
-
love you apple. I lit a candle at mass. I just *know* you'll be ok. When is your PET?
-
Apple - I "know" you are going to be fine too.
-
Jamie ~ I wondered if the Herceptin could be causing the joint pain, but onc seems more inclined to blame the Tamoxifen?! Are you finished with H and if so, is your pain better now? So sorry about the cold, fluid and Aunt Flo!
MICHELE!! ~ yay for going steady with NED!! That's terrific news!!!
Kerry ~ Maple Syrup Festival sounds yummy. Hope you had fun!
Bethie ~ cute pic! Congratulations of the weight loss. I must admit that I had to LOL at gaining weight to celebrate losing weight, heehee!I need to get back to walking; the scale is creeping up lately.
(((apple))) ~ You are constantly in my thoughts, and prayers are going up big time. All the Furies will be with you during your scan and during the wait for the hair-keeping results.
Michele ~ I believe apple's PET is on Tuesday the 9th.
Have a good evening, ladies! Love to all of you. -
((((apple)))) Saying a prayer for you for clean scans!
-
{{{{apple}}} I'm taking the afternoon off work tomorrow. I'm planning to go to a healing mass. I will carry you with me in spirit! xxoo
-
aw shucks.. you all are making me feel better. I told mr. apple that today would be difficult for me so if i snapped at him, not to take it personally.
he loves me sooo much* - he's so excited about this house and that I am taking time off from music to work like a dog and discuss things with him..
(* that kind of drives me bats but oh well.. such is life)
i've always been just about stage 4.. just so you know.
-
but you are NOT stage 4. you are a 3. there's no reason to think that things have changed!
-
Apple I am thinking about you and hope that you just hurt yourself doing all of that work for your new house.
I agree with Michele.......... hope you are still are you were a week ago....
-
Thinking of you today, apple. You were the first thing on my mind when the alarm went off this morning. Well, you were the the first thought after the REAL first thought which was "Why is the alarm going off before I'm finished sleeping??!!"
Love you, girlfriend!!
-
I've been thinking of you all day too. Hope it all went OK.
-
i survived the radiation..
now i just have to wait for the call.. oh well, i',m soooo glad i got to have it. staying on top of things ensures survival.
it's rainy here, the ground is muddy and it sure smells like Spring.
-
Let us know when you hear anything.....sending positive thoughts and sunshine!!
-

I know it seems hokey but oh well... <sigh> In any event, I thought of you during the whole mass. praying hard.
-
Thanks for checking in, apple.
Michele ~ I don't think it's hokey at all. Bless you for taking apple to Mass with you!
-
Nope Michele not hokey at all.
Apple~ I am glad you survived the radiation. So I guess this means you are not glowing yet ?? I hope they call you soon with good news.
-
oh thank you Michele
whatever happens happens..and I'll need prayers regardless.
(that may be an incorrect usage of regardless)
-
Michele,
Not hokey...
Apple, Still holding in my thoughts and prayers...the waiting for the call is the worse...
-
Apple - I'll be thinking of you today. Let us know....
-
Apple: hoping for good news today....waiting is the worst, hopefully you'll hear something soon. I agree, spring is in the air, and it's just lovely..even the rain
-
It is warm here today. Very muggy. I working this past weekend on getting the dirt in my garden ready. Can't wait 'till that last frost is history. This is really, really late for Spring for us. I've usually planted tomatoes by now!
I came unglued on my 14 yr old this morning.
He can be so frustrating. I hate being a cruddy mom.
-
H Michele you are not a cruddy Mom at all. They push every button.
-
whew...
goooood news.. i was so dam worried.
sigh
-
Apple----YIIPPPEEEEE!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!! CELEBRATING WITH YOU!!
Michele--truely gardening this weekend? We still have 5 foot snow drifts...we are hoping to garden by the end of May. Isn't it so cool to be at this spot in the journey where we can think about gardening and our kids pushing our buttons
Hope everyone else is having a great day! I, myself, am on the couch recovering from my exchange last week. The surgery itself went well, but I developed a fever post op and am now on two antibiotics, so I am having a bit harder time recovering this go around. Can't wait for the drains to come out on Friday!
-
Apple~ Doing a happy dance your you my dear sister....and it's not pretty but I am thrilled.
Kim~ I hope your fever and everything is okay and you continue to recover. Drains are no fun what so ever.
I am meeting some sisters from BC.org tonight for the second time...this time I am taking my camera for pictures since I feel pretty good. J-Lo didn't get drained today because my PS here was in surgery all day I am hoping that she can do it on Friday. Ready to ditch the fluid.....
-
Apple - oh my goodness, I am thrilled for you. Fan-freaking-tastic news!!!!!
Kim - oh, no, hope you feel better soon.
Jaimie - hope you enjoy tonight!
-

APPLE, I am so relieved for you. I had a centimammography last week and all kinds of terrible scenarios were going through my head beforehand. I had the same radiologist that I had the last time and he remembered me. This was the test that diagnosed my cancer. He made a point to have the tech tell me everything was normal.Thank God!
LIVING4TODAY:I hope you recover quickly from reconstruction. I found the final exchange from tissue expander to implant easier than the initial mastectomy. I LOVE my new girls!
MICHELE, don't beat yourself up about losing it with your son.I know you.are a great parent! We all can be pushed to our limit. We are not perfect.
Rosa is getting out of the hospital tomorrow. It has been a long, tough road for her so far. Her onc wants to start chemo in 2 weeks. Hardly enough time for her to catch her breath before the next whammy! She is doing OK emotionally so far. She is a strong girl! -
Wow Cheryl Rosa has been in the hospital for a long time. I hope that she handles chemo okay.....it sure doesn't seem fair... Glad your test came back fine.
Judy~ How is Julia doing ???
-
(((Michele))) ~ I agree with the others that you're not a cruddy mom, but I totally understand what you're feeling.
Oh, apple!!!! *dance, dance, dance* "Praise God from whom all blessings flow" ~ woot, woot!! Sooooooooooo relieved and happy for you!!!
living4today ~ Ooo, so sorry about the infection, but hoping the antibiotics will kick it right out. Congratulations on the exchange!
Jamie ~ have fun tonight!
xpectmiracles ~ I'm dancing for you, too! Yay!!! Poor Rosa; I hope she doesn't have too rough of a time with chemo.
