Prayers, Blessings & Wishes for Saint

Saint just called me.
She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night & is still there.
I gasped.
I figured that she was just having a lovely visit with her youngest sister, there from FL.
She said that she's really "been out of it" till this evening.
Just as she was catching me up, her doctor walked in -- so the conversation was very short.
****She did manage to let me know that her DH had arrived with today's shower of mail and she said that there were about 40 cards in today's pile. AND an exquisite floral delivery, too!!!!

If she calls back I'll have some more details.

Saint just called back.
She has just received the news that she now has mets to her liver. These are in addition to mets in her lungs, bones and eyes.
She reports not being suprised by the news, as there was an inkling in her previous scan..... now they have been confirmed. She was matter-of-fact. She said that she doubts ever being able to post here 'independantly' without my help, so it was acceptable to her to have me keep you all in the loop.
She knows that she's not ready to head home yet -- so she will awake on her birthday in the hospital -- at the very least and may need to spend the day.
She has an appointment with her onc at the end of the week for the design of a plan.
She told about a big envelope of children's cards from AZ that were really a hoot, from a class of non-English speaking kindergartners.
If anyone is still willing to send a card, please PM me for the address.
More prayers. Lots more prayers.

Saint,
Mets to liver. Thump..Im sorry to read this, but I have to tell you that my sil has had them since 2004. She's doing well. Maybe you'll have the ablation done, or some cocktail (not the b'day one yet)..but you've got so much to fight for! Keep fighting and living and get home to have your family and friends to have your b'day celebration with. Over here, there will be prayers and love from me to you.. From south to north, and everywhere in between,..I pray you will dance with NED. Let the docs do their work, and you keep doing yours. Way to go.. Love you ♥♥♥ Happy Birthday, dont let anything stand in your way.. Hugs hugs hugs

HI Saint,
I am surprised to hear that you have liver mets. You are to sweet of a person to be going through all of this. I have missed a couple of months and I want to let you know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers,
My healthful tip to you is to eat well, sleep well and drink plenty of fluids. I would add enjoy the weather, but I know you are in WI. Not that Buffalo, NY is any different. It will be sping sometime in the furture and then enjoy the weather.
Sending you (((((Hugs and Prayers)))))
Your Friend and Sista,
Cheryl (Heymoose)

Today is her day!!
Her "happy" birthday.
She's made it to yet another milestone -- in defiance of what has been predicted by the brilliant ones who make it possible to defy.
Please continue to send cards.
I know that they have given her a boost.

Heather, I am a 'friend' to our Cinderella on FB...... so I just go and snatch-up pictures from her albums as she posts them.
copied from the other thread:
Still no word from Saint.
I just called her again, and got her VoiceMail.
I'm hoping that maybe she'll have her sister call me with an update.
Sending prayers.
The "unknowing" is a challenge for me.

News. I have news. Not a lot, but some.
Though I carried my phone with me for every minute of the day, somehow I missed her call while we were visiting with company????
In any case: SHE CALLED!!
She was released from the hospital last night (making it home on her birhday!)
The message went on that she is now adjusting to her pain-pump & must learn how to control that mechanism.
She said that she is definitely in a 'one-day-at-a-time' mentality.
Her sister, Bert will be there thru the coming weekend.
She asked for continuing prayers.
I exhaled.
I have to say that she 'sounded' strong in the message.
So, I've exhaled again.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
And as she would add: Be well and stay strong.
