    Half marathon on Sunday..2 days to recover...Aredia treatment...Frown.  My first treatment (6 months ago) was awful. Side effects were terrible. I felt like I had the flu to the 10th power. I cried all night b/c it was so terrible. I don't want to go in tomorrow, although I know I will. I told my husband that he'll have to drag me in like when you drag a dog somewhere that doesn't wanna go. LOL!!! Oh well. I just keep telling myself that it's good for me, that it's worth it. Sigh. Still stinks.

    I am so sorry you felt terrible after your first tx of Aredia - I don't know much about Aredia and the SE's, but am sending you (((HUGS))) and hoping that this tx goes better than the last.

    Dont panic - you may have no side effects this time.  Many people, me included, only have side effects the first infusion and are fine the second time and there after.  Good luck!

    Hay, if you can run a half marathon, you can handle this! Hope you get no SE's at all!

    Hi there,

    I haven't heard of Aredia before---you only go every 6 months???? Very interesting!   I did the A/C mix for the first 4 rounds (every 2 weeks) and it definitely kicked my ass at various points.  I even got some of the more strange se's like sever mouth sores.  I can't blame you for not wanting to go through a rough treatment again.  But like KerryMac said, if you can run a half marathon now, you can do this.  It will probably be hard, but maybe not as bad as the first.  How long does this treatment plan last???? 

    Best of luck to you, I'm a large tumor, multi node lady too.  Keep me posted on how you are doing!

    I am getting my 2nd treatment of Zomtea today. I do it every 3 weeks with chemo-not the typical way it's given)

    I was told I shouldn't get sick this time around-I hope the same for you!

    I dont think Zometa and Aredia are the same but they are used for the same purpose. I didnt think you could have either unless you had bone mets? Are you getting them as a precaution??? Anything that I can do to try and prevent mets!!
