I just seen Jen's thread about supplements during chemo yes or no.  So now I'm wondering what supplements is everyone taking now?  I'm only taking Calcium and Vitamin D and just added aspirin.  I'm wondering if I'm taking enough.

That is all I am doing too....Oh, and my Vit A (Arimidex!!)

Personally, I prefer to try and get all my goodies from food - so I drink green tea (3X daily) and eat walnuts, fatty fish (Omega 3's) and mushrooms most days.

I'm on vit D 2000 units,  a Multi, vit E, Omega 3, B6.  I want to go out and buy some calcuim and magnesium too.  I take Arimidex and go for Zometa every 3 months.  I'm really trying to stick to eating all natural foods, that are low glycemic index, and very little meat.  A lot of salmon and at least 64  oz of water every day.

Right now during chemo, I am taking a multi, 2000IU Vitamin D, trying to eat a healthy diet (OK, I admit it, some yummy treats), more protein than usual, and the Actyl L-Carnatine/or placebo for the neuropathy study.

Two months from now, once Taxol ends, I will add in one aspirin daily (325 mg which is what my oncologist thinks is the right therapeutic does...this may change as suspect this is one hot topic right now), spirulina, and anything that may help with Arimidex (not there yet).

I love to eat, but need to focus on keeping my weight down about 10 pounds lower than where I am right now.  This is critical for my general health and keeps my blood pressure down too.

I need to find non soy energy bars to keep on hand so I don't bonk during cycling events.  Larabars are good and there may be some whey protein ones out there.

So think I will restructure my eating a bit once I understand what my body needs post chemo.  This will be easy as hitting fruit and veggie season with wonderful ones available here in Seattle.  And of course, add back in some red wine.

I would wait at least 3 weeks after your last chemo treatment before starting any supplements that might interact with the chemo.  It seems to be anti-oxidants that concern them most.

After that, green tea (or extract of), melatonin, IP6 (plus inositol), maitake D extract (immune support), vitamin D, vitamin C, vitamin E tocotrienols (such as tocomin suprabio), iodine supplement (lodoral), seaweed (wakame, a korean seaweed that can be used in soups).

I take: calcium, Immunitix, Advaclear, Green tea, fish oil, Indolplex (a form of DIM) and Vitamin D. I also drink a greens drink twice a day (ProGreens or Green Vibrance)
