Round 2/Taxol---Zometa???

Hi ladies,

So today is round number 2 of 4 Taxol.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get a lot of pelvic pain like last time as I am going to attempt going back to work part time tomorrow.  Also I've been reading some of your posts about Zometa.  They never offered it to me and of course now I'm 2 rounds in so I don't know if they would even consider adding it at this point, but I am definitely going to ask today.  Seems as though if it could help reduce the chance of reccurance it would be worth looking into.  Any of you have any se's from it?

    I do Zometa every 3 weeks with chemo-not the usual pattern but I asked for this and my doc agreed.

    But yes I got what seemed like the flu about a day a half later and that's it-no issues at all.

    Zantax and Tylenol help with the SE"S.

    I would HIGHLY recommend insisting on receiving it....

    At the very least you should ask about getting it once Chemo is done with. Not the standard of care, but most of us who want it have got it with a bit of pushing....
