What to Discuss with Rad Onc?

I'm going to my first appointment since rads to have a follow up visit with my Rad Onc on Thursday morning.  I have so many questions going on in my head but don't know what is appropriate to discuss with him.  For instance,  I have chronic pain since ending rads. It's really making me worry about bone mets.  I was also wondering if Arimidex is doing this and if there is any pain reliever besides asprin or motrin that I can take for it.  This is all hindering my determination to continue working out and doing my upper body excersize.  I'll never get back to running at this rate.  Can I ask him questions about my HER2? and if it can change from an original core biopsy report?  Ladies I need help with the right questions to ask him regarding my chronic pain and my stage III concerns .  My mind goes blank when I go in there and always think of what I wanted to ask him after I leave.  I also wanted to ask him if I could have copies of the the medical records my breast cancer onc sent to him after chemo finished.  Ya think I shoud ask?

I would save the rad onc questions for the rad onc. Ex: pain after rads, fatigue. The rad onc will probably just ask how your feeling and most likely check the area that had radiation. Maybe do a little physical exam too.

the rest of your questions....for your onc. Arimidex..Her2..ect.

I only say this because these follow up visits are mostly "quick" visits and time is crunched down.

So basically, make the best use out of the time with the appropriate onc. Smile

Edit to add: Write down your questions...easy as that.

I want to ask him about the pain I'm having in my clavicle and armpit, and hip.

Vic ~  I have a cancer journal the breast center gave me.  It has spefic areas for each doctor questions.  I do want to see what my onc forwarded to him in my medical records.
