Has anyone gone to one of these and was it helpful in recovery?

    I went on 2 retreats for women dealing with cancer. The one I went to while I was in the middle of chemo was helpful because it let me be with other women going through what I was or who had gone through what I had, and gave me strenght to go one. The one I went to this year, when I was past active treatment and stronger, was even more helpful. I formed strong friendships with some of the women there in only 3 days, and the emotional pain we all live with after a cancer diagnosis was alleviated. It will never go away, but it was eased.
