I am ER/PR -Her2+++ Grade 3. If you research what it means to be HER 2+ it's a  protein on your cells that tells all the other cells it comes in contact with to begin growing at an accelerated rate thus creating more cancer. So even just one tiny cell that invaded your breast tissue did destructive things to the cells around it.Herceptin turns this message off. I am doing it now and it's sooooo much easier than chemo.  My invasion from my DCIS was .03cm and my docs never questioned if chemo/herceptin was necessary - they told me this is what we're doing. I hope you decide to do it.

    Hi Cookie,

Is your IDC .2 cm (2 mm)?  Or is it actually .2 mm?  That would be less than 1 mm.  If so, I would check 2 posts:  1- Microinvasive DCIS with Her2+, ER-, and PR- and 2-DCIS with less than 1 mm microinvasion.  There is a growing number of us with this rare diagnosis and lots of useful info there.  Smile
