    Breastcancer.org has given me a place to go where I AM just another woman with breastcancer instead of being THAT GIRL with breastcancer!  Never underestimate feeling normal.

    one sentence wasnt enough -

     My treatment plan, and my faith in it, was and continues to be cutting edge due to research that was prompted by information I got from the bco board.  My doctors are blown away by the amount of knowledge I have and respect me for it.

    Breastcancer.org has shown me that I am NOT alone. Young(er)  woman can and do, get breastcancer.

    Breastcancer.org has saved my sanity!  The friendships, advice and experiences of all that have gone through this has helped me so much.  And yes, younger women do get breast cancer.

    Breastcancer.org has given me a place to talk to people who understand what I am going through, who understand my feelings, who understand what I say. Also, the wealth of information here is phenomenol.

    From the person who goes in nods at everything the docs say to having more knowledge thanks to the thousands of threads from woman who are not afraid to help and give advise after having a personal experience with cancer, rather than from a doc who have learnt about it from a piece of paper (I will take a docs view into consideration but only after considering what they say on these boards!)

    I've learnt that I may be one grain of sand but together we make a dune!

    Breast cancer.org has been the fundamental learning and support system for my husband & I.  Nowhere, have we learned so much and received so much support.  Love that you know a bit about everyone dx also.

    Breastcancer.org is my place to go 24/7 for the latest research, tips from those with first-hand experience for getting through treatment, and the friendship and support and hope provided by all of the wonderful women who know exactly what it feels like to be forced to travel this path.

    Breastcancer.org is a place where I can come for support, information, talking about my feelings about my diagnosis, and share sadness, joy, laughs and sorrow with all the wonderful women and men that are part of this community.

    Breastcancer.org almost saved my life...........

    I was sure a doctor is doctor, is a doc. I never thought of getting a second opinion. I was sure those docs knew what they are doing.

    How can I ask a quetion, demand something,,,, if I dont know WHAT.

    Those ladies here helped me, told me go get this test, try that test, ask for this etc. I did.

    Without the help of this site, I would have never known all the options i had.

    When I first came to Breastcancer.org I was newly diagnosed and terrified - I found a wealth of support, advice and friendship. 

    I am able to live every day with hope, because of the support of women who are walking this road with me.

    I felt part of excellent company rather than on my own with this, found out what questions to ask,  learned a whole lot about American politics and I recommend this site to acquaintances and friends who are newly diagnosed.

    The knowledge and wisdom shared by the thousands of sister members is wonderful but knowing that they are all here for me, supporting me, and helping me on my journey is invaluable.

    edited to add: I'm sorry, I did not notice this was for Stage III members. I hope I am not intruding where I shouldn't have.

     (I'm a 2 not a three, but I chimed in anyway)

    The first moment I felt the terror subside was when I entered the BCO chat room. I realized I would not be alone in this journey, that there was support. While "real life" support groups are great, BCO gives us access to an amazing variety of experiences and opinions from around the world, around the clock.

    I have learned, I have laughed, I have cried. I have discovered a spirit of sisterhood that is a powerful and healing bond. I am constantly moved by the generosity of spirit I find here.

    I came to this board before I was offically d/x.  The women here offered words of support and comfort.

    When I was d/x, the women here helped me through my tough times, and they were all there for me during the good and the bad.  I have made long lasting friendships with them and I will never forget how they helped me then and how they are still standing beside me now.

    The wealth of information from everyone  on this site from either their own experiences or knowledge that they share has been priceless.  My onc is totally amazed on how much I know about BC and treatments that are out there.

    From the point of pre-biopsy through treatment and then the post BC life, BCO has been a wealth of information.  I never really had to check out other breast cancer sites as this site has it all.  I come back for the discussion boards as Sherri is right...we are family.

    Mary is also right...one sentence doesn't do it. :)  Thanks for all you do, Melissa!

    BCO has provided me with support and friendships have been made; it is a place to share our lives as women who are daughters, wives, sisters, moms who happen to also be bc survivors.

    OMG!! BreastCancer.Org was my lifeline when I was diagnosed and introduced me to friends I still have three years later and a constant source of information and comfort.

    I feel breastcancer.org has been my lifeline since diagnosis. As I traveled through surgery, chemo, radiation and now hormonal treatment I have had answers to so many questions. Being diagnosed as stage 3 (and having 2 different ILC tumours at diagnosis) was terrifying but then I found both a stage 3 forum and ILC forum!!! I can't imagine not having this wonderful support and guidance on this journey.....Thanks so much!

    What can I say it is the wonderful women on this site that I can relate ,share info,be calmed by,two I have met one I have chatted on the phone with ...but all the others are my cyber sisters..this is the first place I searched for and found when this nightmare started...I started out with DCIS and kept moving over ...To my fellow stg 3 sisters ...MUCH LOVE

    Being diagnosed with Breast Cancer means puts you into this melee of the medical world and with your family and friends on the outside trying to help but not knowing what to do. Coming to BreastCancer.Org finds you the people who have been there, they understand, they stop the mindless spinning and get you moving forward again.
