Layne,
Thanks for joining in here. Sorry you seem to have joined our sisterhood. I do not know yet what your problem is. Hopefully it's not a major deal. Wharever it is though, know that the women on this board are the best anywhere. Browse through the board listings and see.
As far as this help for women who can not afford a mammogram, I am saddened each time I look at the daily numbers and see that the response is often so weak. This is not just for the women on our boards. It's such a simple thing to do, I do not understand why thousands and thousands do not do this every time they are at their computers. There are many, many who do. They are appreciated by women we'll never know.
Thanks for helping and for telling your friends.

Hi Phyllis,
Thank you for the kind welcome. I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma last year and finished chemo about 6 months ago. I saw your thread when searching this site, and wanted you to know how wonderful it is of you to remind us all of this worthy cause.
Thanks again, -
It looks like it's time to bring this to the top again. It's good for new members to see and it's a reminder for those who have already seen this but may not be clicking on often enough. Thanks to those of you that do.

Patti, I sent you a private message.

New update.
I hope many of you find the few moments to go to this site and click on, for several important causes.
Phyllis -
Thanks, Phyllis, for bringing this to our attention. I have added the site to my favorites as well.
-
djd,
Thanks so much for letting me know you joined this site. I often wonder if people are responding to the message here. The only clues I have are when thoughtful people put a message here to let me know.
Feel well.
Phyllis -
Every few weeks I update this site to hopefully get the attention of new members. It's also a reminder for the rest of the membership.
Maybe because it's summer vacation time, the number of people clicking onto the site is down. (It's not just for our members, but for anyone willing to click on.)
So if you have a few moments to spare when at your computer, please click on here. Some unfortunate women somewhere will be helped.
Thank you.
Phyllis -
Updating to the top again. I hope it helps.
Phyllis -
I just clicked on the link so I'll remember todo it on a daily basis.
Margaret -
Thank you Margaret, and all others who click onto this site daily, or as often as possible. Don't forget, if you scroll down after clicking on for the mammograms, you can help several other organizations as well. Look and see. The entire thing takes less than three minutes.
Phyllis -
It's time to bring the page to the top once again.

Phyllis,
This is about my 3rd posting but have been reading all the different topics for approx a month now. What a great site this is!!!! I feel so connected with everyone and laugh and cry with most.
Thank you for reminding us that others are in need of our help. When we are or have been facing life changes ourselves we forget there are others out there that need our help too, all the while making us feel better.
Such a worth while project and so little is required, what a great gift. Thanks for sharing this and giving us the opportunity to help! Sann -
Saan,
Thank you so much for your lovely posting, to add to all the others on this site. As we say here, we are sorry you had to join our club, but you are welcome. You will find as you read and correspond, that the women (and men) here are wonderful people. We all try to share and help each other. Good luck to you.

Phyllis
I have clicked the pink button! Thanks for moving this to the top as new people like myself might not have found it.
Max -
tinkermax,
As I said in my last post here, sorry you had to join us too. Here you will find help and goodness from many who have been here longer than you. I'm glad you found this website. It's one of the best. I pull this thread back up to the top every week or two as a reminder to all members, and to have new members like you discover it.
As I said before, after you click on the pink thread for mammograms for women who can not afford them, you may want to take another minute to scroll down further. There you'll find you can also click on (one right after the other) for things such as health for children, books for children, animal shelters, the animals in the wild, etc. etc. It takes less than three minutes and seems to do a lot of good.
Thanks everyone.

Bringing this to the top once again.

Moving on up to the top
-
Tinkermax,
Hi! It's good to see how sincere you are about this site. Believe it or not, I started this 50 weeks ago, 10/28/04. I have no idea how many of our sisters click on, though I know of several that do. In all this time, you, halfway around the world, are the first one to help me "bring it to the top" so it won't get lost. Thanks so much for your interest and help. It's such a good thing to do for people we do not know, but who may be helped.
Phyllis -
I could not update this thread for a while as I was accidentally locked out from corresponding. I just saw that I could get back in, so here I am bringing this to the top again. Tinkermax, I was sort of hoping you'd do another update. Oh, well....
Phyllis -
I must continue to bring this to the top.
