Please Help Have Clear Discharge frm Breast

Hello all, was dx with dcis in aug. Had uni mastectomy and going thru breast reconstruction. Yesterday I had noticed a smell like sour milk and thought it may be coming from an incision site or where drains were taken out etc, had DH smell around and couldnt find source, tonight was rubbing under good breast and smelled it again, squeezed my nipple and saw a teeny amount of clear fluid and had the sour milk smell. FREAKING OUT called the breast surgeon on call in a tizzy, he said it probably nothing discharge normal for women and as far as it being related to cancer probably not, but if i was concerned go see regular surgeon sometime later and talk to him. Well im am totally worried. Any ideas? I was supposed to go back to work tomorrow after having recon. Now worried sick. Anybody else had this? I need some support. Ive been in compression bandages and tight sports bras for last 2 weeks. I dunnno HELP

    Debbie, being in the compression garments and tight bras might be the cause. It's always good to get it checked out, but as a tech said after I bled all over the mammogram machine, be concerned, but don't be worried. I had a bloody, and I mean bloody discharge and it had nothing at all to do with my cancer!

    Debbie,

    The symptom that led to my diagnosis was a clear/milky discharge from the nipple.  I never noticed a smell.  It could well be papilloma, hormonal activity, or something benign, but it can be caused by cancer.  Try not to freak out but do go to a breast surgeon to get it checked.

    it is a small amount but enuf to scare the hell out of me. They are going to do a mammo and a ultrasound today and will see the BS tomorrow. Lets just all pray its just normal. Otherwise I want this one off too and TE done so I dont have to go thru this shit again, my nerves cant take it.

    well got the tests done, they think discharge is hormonal, but they did find some calcifications they want to biopsy. how they missed that 6 months ago??? u got me. Dr thinks may be nothing but maybe dcis and if it is-mx w te. immediately. tired of worrying about it
