If anyone has a spare prayer, kind encouragement -- you can always go to the January surgery thread and post upbeat happy, happy, joy, joy.

I haven't actually sorted out who is who there, but there are several YOUNG mothers -- (well their children are very young), there's one woman who has needed to fly 900 miles across Canada for treatment, others with more challenging pathology that first indicated...... the usual assortment of BCO 'needs'.

If anyone's had a mast/double and give a rah-rah "I'm this far out, you'll make it sort of report, that would be most welcome.

I sleep deeply for about 5 minutes every now & then. It's not that I'm exactly 'wired' but I am not the least bit tired. Saving the big sleep for tonight.

This is the coolest hospital. They don't make ANY P.A. announcements -- everything is done via headsets. How cool is that?? That was always my biggest frustration/complaint. This is awesome by comparison.

Oh I just put up on FB...... seriously!!! The head breast-care RN just stopped thru and she brought me two pillows for arm/support etcetc. They are both black & white prints..... One is even black & white POLKA DOTS!!

I will be marveling about that little detail for eons to come. Honest-to-goodness!! It's all in the details. The RN said she had a gazillion fabrics to choose from..... just 'happened' to pick those for me.

If you weren't one to 'believe' previously, I suggest you consider it.

    LOVE to each of you.

Actually I did not sleep much the nite after sx. I was asleep for 7 hours on the table, and I think the meds and pain kept me up.

    The sunrise was great.

I had "faith" that she would come through with flying colors. My own experience with bilat mx was pretty non-eventful, so I expected no less from our roustabout troubador, Faithandfifty. The hardest part of this all will probably be to get her stay down and rest.

Faith, my best wishes for a speedy recovery and return to home surroundings.

Faith -- Maybe you're all giddy from the relief of everything going so well.  The freedom and feeling of well-being.  I think you need more pain pills to simmer you down!  Moan and groan so you get more pills.  A legal buzz is always nice.  Cool  Have a restful night.

Faith I hope that you are feeling well this morning now that you've (hopefully) gotten some sleep.  The last effects of anesthesia are wearing off, so don't worry if you are a little bit more uncomfortable today than you were yesterday.  Don't forget to keep up the percoset to stay ahead of the pain.

Faith,  It is obvious that you are a woman of deep Faith!  I personally believe that "Everything is as it should be."

I hope you are in pain free, as I was.  I recall saying, "How can they cut off your boob and it doesn't hurt?"

Gentle hugs sent and pleasant dreams are wished for you as you heal from your procedure.

Well as everyone might have predicted..... today was filled with emotional upheaval.

We were getting all packed up to depart my hospital-of-zen, right around noon, gathering up my various goodie bags and gauze pads (quite an interesting combination in and of itself.... LOL) and getting dressed in my own clothes -- think oversized bag lady wear.

I was doing pretty good, until I went to put on my wedding ring and it didn't fit and I lost it and had a fit. My nurse this morning was something of a no-nonsense, older, Nurse Rachet..... caring, just matter-of-fact. When I lost it over my ring not fitting, she actually lost it with me and gave me the sweetest big bear, non-hug...... and assured me it's gonna be a process and days passing will make things better. It was so sweet of her to cry with me. Very reassuring that I wasn't a nut.

Then Saint called right at that very moment and we ranted and sobbed and laughed at each other for a good long hour of our driving home, getting the prescriptions, getting my medicinal soup-in-a-bread-bowl, husband's special blend of coffee, filling the gas tank....... The good man knows that when we're talking and she's providing her therapeutic conversational love-on-a-phone-thing, he can just drive around the outter belt a few times and that's better than anything else that anyone else can offer.

Then we finally made it home & I took benedryl and slept for hours on end. Hours & luscious hours on end. SLEEP our friend!!!! Intend to buy stock in benedryl. Now that tamoxofin in a non-issue I can party on with benedryl.

Then Sarah, DD1 just came over. She brought pink tulips and this four foot helium dragonfly balloon and chocolate, and a damn-it-doll and smutty magazines and Diet Dr. Pepper and a stack of nonsensical videos and more chocolate. She spent the time of my hospitalization getting a 6 hour tattoo on her back...... (I am not an appreciator of tattoos)...... couldn't figure out how/why on earth she was doing this??? It is the size of a basketball..... a garden of flowers...... each family member is represented by a flower. We all have our coping methods. This was on her bucket list. The artist she chose to do it has done an amazing job/work of tattoo art.

She treated me like I was going to break..... helping me stand up like I was 95 years old....kinda sweet. But neither one of us fell apart.

Probably time for me to take some sort of medication. LOL. What to choose??

    You guys are the best.

I am all over the map. I am not especially capable of sitting around. Glad I called my parents yesterday, cuz today would have been a bit harder to carry off, the happyhappycrappycrappy.

    Rambling. I'm rambling.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

You are keeping my tether to sanity....

P.S. I haven't looked yet. Not sure I have enough Atavin for that process. Must have more sleep under my belt before I venture into that land.

Home health care nurse to come by tomorrow.

Allen and I just watched a 30 second animated movie version of "Gone With the Wind" as performed by rabbits.

My dear CA friend, who had BC & her surgeries at the same time as my go-round #1 (yes, we met here at BCO thru chat -- tho she never came back after that first night, but I spent several days in her home in Napa Valley) sent flowers and my neighbor just brought them over..... which sent off a whole 'nother sobfest.

People being nice really turns me into marshmellow-melted-mush-mess.

The drains are a pain...... now there's news. LOL.

    Faith,

So glad you are home!  I;m also glad to hear you had a very theraputic talk with Saint.  You are both so lucky to have each other.

I am keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery, both physically and mentally.

Enjoy the benedryl.  I sure do miss that (being on Tamoxifen).

Get some rest and know that your fan club is still cheering you on!

    Love you sistah!

Rest, take those pills and have a good nights sleep.
