Thinking Out Loud.....

Deb, all my docs are female, except my radiologist oncologist, whom I don't see anymore. I am very uncomfortable with male doctors.
Reason for test: Since they are theorizing there a link between low D levels and breast/prostate cancer, you want it checked to lessen your chance for recurrence.
Hi Foots!
Good news on your butt Deb!
Scream away, dreaming! I've never listened to or read that. I have heard about SS theorys on breast cancer and I think it's a joke.
-
All my Doctors are male even my obgyn was, now i go to clinic for my pap tests.
Doesn't bother me I'm so used to be examined by male Doctors.
dreaming....This the place to get rid off your feelings. You can slap her too.
i have to make sure I'm up early tomorrow morning, have to be out by 10.
-
Okay Sheila! I have to be up at 5:45 so I will wake you!
Good night my friends.

When I was younger I did not mind to much to have a male doctor, the OBGYN that delivered Rebekah was male in fact the office I went to had 3 male doctors. But as I get older I would prefer a female.

Did you watch American Idol? I was dissapointed that Ellen wasn't on yet.
-
dee are you an American Idol fan also?
I watched it from season one. Last night was taped, didn't watch it yet, i just sneaked in and didn't see Ellen. How was it? If you want we can talk about performances and everything when the show really starts. I meant when they are down to 16 or 12.
Maybe we should open a thread. What do you think?
Good Morning, I have been up since 7, miracle happened.
-
Lindaaaaaaaaaaa!
-
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I forgot to wake you up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GET UP!!! YOU HAVE A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT!!!!
-
Im already having my coffee. i think Im in shock or something because I feel normal these early hours. how could you forget Linda?
Good Morning again.
Deb
-
Kids, dang kids, that's how I forget. They want to be clothed, fed, helped with homework ( we do some before school)......needy, needy, needy!
-
I remember those days, except we didnt do any homework, i had to make myself ready too because I was working. Those days I always fell asleep by 10 at night.
They repeated that SS show at midnight I just caught the last 15 minutes. She said one thing
<All the cancers are slow growing there is no need to rush to anything> and I dont know why she was wearing a coat and a scarf. Her lips got too big for her face. hahahaha
-
She drives me crazy!
We do homework in the morning and after school simply because they both have ADHD and can't focus for any length of time. So it makes it easier to break it up.
Good luck today!!
-
Talk to you later, shower time. Its a nice day today will reach 35 or something. I like heat waves in the middle of the winter. lol
Hoping we hear something from kbugs daughter.
-
That's weather we are getting tomorrow and friday! Yeah!! Cold and windy here today.
I hope we hear from Kbug soon too!
We miss you Kbug
Lalalallala la la la Singing just isn't the same without you!
-
Are you back? How did it go?
-
I just came back. I asked him for the VD test. He thought I had one already., anyway now I wait for my cholesterol and D results. Blood pressure is normal. If VD levels come back low I have an oncologist app on March 1st (I'm sure I'm repeating myself over and over again) I take it right to him.
I was hoping for an update from kbug but there isn't any. I'm worry.
Kbug like Linda said singing is not the same, lalalalalalalalalalalala we are trying but its not working very well.
-
If your dr. thinks they already did a vd test on you, you should ask for the results of it. Then you can compare where you were with vd to where you are now. I looked at old blood tests from my dr. but not d levels were checked. I would love to know what my level was before bc.
Yes, we miss you Kbug. I hope you and your family are doing alright.
lalalallalalalla la la lalallala!!!!
-
I keep my test results, he mails it to me, no such test was done by him, if oncologist did it I don't know but I don't think so. He checked it was never done. I don't think its a routine thing they do with every patients. I have at least 3 years of result.
how much yours Linda.. don't remember now.
-
For a second I thought VD was Venereal Disease, LOL.
-
You are funny. Thats one thing can never happen to me. I'm sure of it. Abstinence (sp not sure)
And I did listen to your talking girl saying good night, played it few times hahaha
-
Thanks for the laugh Deb!! My VD is 21, Very low!!
-
I don't know what mine was, she said it is in the normal range.
-
Everytime I see those two letters will be thinking of Deb.
Linda...Did you do that 50.000 unit once a week thing?
Are you doing anything medically to raise it?
Sun is good and then they say too much sun cause cancer. What are we suppose to do?
-
The "normal' range is huge, I think it's beetween 30 and 100. Now they are suggesting that you get as close to 100 as you can.
I took my 7th 50,000 I.U. vd today, one more week to go. I do not have much faith in that pill since it's D2 and we should be taking D3. SOOOOOOO, I have been taking 1,000 I.U.s of D3 twice a day and also another 800 I.U.'s that are in my multivitamin, and another 200 i.u.'s that are in my calcium pills. SO total, I am taking 3,000 I.U.'s of D3 inadditon to the once weekly D2 of 50,000. I'm so curious to see what my level is now. My dr. does not know that I am taking the additonal D3, I will tell her. I found out that the D2 is pretty much useless from other BCO threads and others who have used it. hat's why I added the D3. Just call me Dr. Linda.
The sun is good, but this time of year we could sit out naked all day and still not get enough D. Anyone above living Georgia has this problem in the winter. I eat lots of salmon and fish and drink milk and eat yogurt but apparently that isn't nearly enough!
My DH just had his level checked today. Not sure when he will get the results. He is a good man. I know he thinks I'm crazy into D now (VD so we think of Deb), so when he had his cholesterol checked today he asked them to do it. I'm curious to see what his levels are.
-
Do you take calcium also? You need to take Calcium to absorb the VD or is it the other way around?
-
VD to absorb calcium. The first thing I told my DR that I lost weight, of course he is happy . and this is what asks me next. Are you going to continue with the diet, I said yes according to him I'm about 25 pounds overweight, I will never go down 140, I cant if I could I don't want too.
So Linda DH had the same tests I had today including VD hahahahahahahahahaha Deb hahaha
I'm officially a rabbit now i made this salad with Feta cheese, it was so good. Tomorrow I cook.
