Thinking Out Loud.....

Yes, I think the d helps the calcium get absorbed.
My husband does not have VD, he got a VD test! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Salad sounds good, I had salmon again.
I've got to get my meat and potato loving DH to stop eating meat!! His cholesterol is way to high and he's been on meds for it for a few years. He hates seafood, every single kind. We are such opposites!! -
My DH has to take Potassium pills, his high blood pressure pills take potassium away.
-
He needs to chill out! Is he really the purple dude?? He looks like he'd have high blood pressure!
-
Linda..I know thats what I meant your DH took VITAMIN D test, not VD test. lol
Deb..does he eat bananas for potassium? That is an adorable young rabbit just like me. lol
This subject Deb brought up gets an award. But Ass Fi.......will always be number one. hehehe

-
Sheila, I know you knew!!! LOL!!!
LOL!!! But ass fi....................get it, but, ass.....................okay now I sound like my 11 year old!!
Deb, On your dx it says stage 1b. What is the b for??? Just curious.
-
Yes Deb....Aren't we confuse enough. I goggled it and went to stages couldn't get any info.
Linda I think has something to do with the size, not the breast size haha.
I need to be diagnosed by purple lady. My tumor was 1.2 CM,
-
Thanks Dr. Sheila.
Off to bed!
Good night!
-
Good morning to all with VD and A FI

-
Took me a minute for the for the A FI!!! Now I get it! It's nice to start the day with a laugh!
-
Good Morning. I'm up but not even close to be awake. I see another Abbr.
I'm trying to figure it out.....Female....????
-
LOL!!! You need your coffee!! A Fi Hint, think of Deb!!
-
I PM you. Dont want police board after me.
-
Last night I had some Macademia nuts that DD brought from Hawaii
Calories 220 Serving size 10 nuts. (Which is an insult to human stomach)
Fat from Calories 190.
Now can someone tell me how you can only eat 10. After eating 5 portions, I gained 1 pound and Im all itchy this morning.
I thought you should know about this Breaking News.
Thank you for the fun. Time to find myself now.
-
Thanks for the breaking news update. I could never eat 10 either. I am on a diet now, REALLY trying to lose weight. My midday snack is 15 almonds. 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm doing it because I want to lose the weight, but I could eat 150!
The good thing about over doing on nuts is that at least it is a healthy fat! (Unlike the potato chip fat)
I'm going out for a walk now. Bright sunshine and 32!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEAT WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Supposed to get to 50 tomorrow!
-
Back from my second walk. I can't wait for the nice weather tomorrow! I hope you all had a nice day.
DH's VD level is 25. Mine was 21. His dr. told me the normal range is 30-100. How the heck can the range be 70 points???? I want mine as close to 100 as possible.
-
Dr. Sheila doesnt know the answer for that. I hardly noticed anybody being that high, maybe few.
-
I take my calcium with vit. D and magnesium in liquid form. I think it is to have better absorption in the liquid form which I take twice daily. 600mg of calcium is the most you can absorb at once. I take an extra D3 at 2000mg daily, too.
-
I love Macademia nuts.
-
Sue, thanks for your input. I do take cal and d too, but in pill form. I've never had a problem with cal levels so I leave it be. My question is, why the magnesium? What does that do? Why do you take it with cal and D?
-
Hi Sue and all,
i took a nice shower forgetting that I had my lemon plant there. I ran the water my poor plant is showering with hot water, soil out clogging the drain.....
I had dinner, had beets with little salt and vinegar it was so delicious I drank the leftover beet juice. boiled potato and some meat. My calcium is okay too just checked it says Between 8.5-10.3. Mine is 10.4.
-
Don't like beets, okay, I don't think I've ever had them. I had more fish with steamed veggies. I better lose some dang weight! I'd be happy if I lost 5 pounds but I have never been able to lose weight very easily.
-
Look what I found: Thanks Sue!
In order to MAKE vitamin D in the blood, your body must USE UP magnesium. And a large proportion of people are already mildly to moderately magnesium deficient (really!). And therefore, some people who take Vitamin D and believe that they are having vitamin D side effects are ACTUALLY having Signs of Magnesium Deficiency!!
