I just got done taking a statistics course last summer, I'll do an analysis of the results in a couple weeks (the school semester is just getting started and I'm going to be a bit busy for a couple weeks)

Our group has fewer A+ and O+  than the general population

Our group has more A-, B+, B-,O- and AB- than the general population.  

I need to find my stats caluclator to figure out if these differences are statistically significant or not.  I suspect the B+, B-, and O- differences are statistically significant.

I was told I was O. Does that mean positive or negative?

mathteacher--the letter and the + or - are 2 different things.  The basic blood types are A, B, AB, and O.  Then the blood is tested for the presence of the Rh factor, which is either present (+) or absent (-). 

I'll add the new info to the sample group and re-analyze soon.

 I am one of the rare ones, I have B- blood.

I am O negative. I always thought that was a fairly rare blood type, but there are lots of us here!
