are you going to do a tally and compare to the % of each in general population?

I am O Neg

A+
I just got done taking a statistics course last summer, I'll do an analysis of the results in a couple weeks (the school semester is just getting started and I'm going to be a bit busy for a couple weeks)

B+
Thanks for analyzing this info, NativeMainer.

Preliminary Analysis:
Type: Sample (n) Sample (%) Gen Pop (%)
A+ 19 27.1 35.7
A- 7 10.0 6.3
B+ 8 11.4 8.5
B- 5 7.1 1.5
O+ 18 25.7 35.7
O- 9 12.9 6.6
AB+ 3 4.3 3.4AB- 1 1.4 0.6
Our group has fewer A+ and O+ than the general population
Our group has more A-, B+, B-,O- and AB- than the general population.
I need to find my stats caluclator to figure out if these differences are statistically significant or not. I suspect the B+, B-, and O- differences are statistically significant.

Here is a comparison of the number of people who we would expect have each blood type to the number in our group who do have the blood type:
Type: We have: We expect to have: Difference:
A+ 19 25 --6
A- 7 4 +3B+ 8 6 +2
B- 5 1 +4
O+ 18 25 --7
O- 9 5 +4AB+ 3 2 +1
AB- 1 0.4 +1

I was told I was O. Does that mean positive or negative?

mathteacher--the letter and the + or - are 2 different things. The basic blood types are A, B, AB, and O. Then the blood is tested for the presence of the Rh factor, which is either present (+) or absent (-).
I'll add the new info to the sample group and re-analyze soon.
This is really interesting!
